Meet Our Accepted Students

“Seeing this as my last chance at an age that’s neither too young nor too old, I’m determined to give it my all from the very beginning.”
Kang Ji-su

I originally became interested in producing 3D animation for children’s films and began researching that area. During this process, I learned that many well-known directors and producers do not limit themselves to children’s animation but are active across various visual-graphics fields, including feature films and commercials. Although my ultimate goal is to create children’s animated films, this consultation helped me realize that 3D animation offers a relatively flexible career path. This made me even more interested in the field.

After deciding on 3D animation as my career path, I started searching for academies and eventually found graduates’ portfolios from SF Film School on YouTube. Unlike other academies, the portfolio quality stood out, which led me to visit the website. There, I learned about the cohort-based program, numerous external activities, and the instructors’ strong professional backgrounds.

Before that, I first visited a large general academy because I hoped to receive government-funded support. However, the consultation mainly focused on selling package programs and fitting me into their fixed timetable, which made me feel it wasn’t the right place for me. After leaving, I remembered SF Film School, which I had already looked into, and decided to visit. I appreciated that they listened to my story and tried to help me find the animation direction that suited me personally.

My first impression of SF Film School was that it wasn’t just an academy that teaches technical skills, but a place that helps students discover their strengths within the broad field of 3D animation, guiding them so they can establish themselves firmly in a path that fits them.

When I applied, I kept wondering whether someone like me, who knew so little, would be the kind of student they wanted. Still, hearing that I had been accepted made me genuinely happy. I see this as my last chance at an age that’s neither too young nor too old, and I’m determined to work hard from the very beginning.
