Choi Yo Won
"I came to SF Film School with the goal of working on films overseas."
I have loved science fiction movies since I was young, and because of that I developed a dream of someday working on the graphics and visual effects used in those films. I was first introduced to VFX while studying for art entrance exams during high school. Later, while searching for a graphics academy, I came across recommendations for SF Film School and decided to look into it. I ultimately chose it after reading reviews and blog posts from students who had attended.
My first impression was simply, "I think learning here would be a good experience." Personally, I think the first and second interview process is a very effective way to understand a student’s personality and background in advance. For example, if someone has a personality that becomes deeply immersed in one thing and follows it through until the end, that could be considered a strong advantage in the CG field.
I personally have a mindset of always finishing what I start, even if I lose interest along the way. However, there were times when I completed projects but later realized that some details were missing or certain aspects lacked polish. Because of this, I believe the feedback system at SF Film School will be a great help in improving my work.
I completed my application hoping that I would be accepted, and I was extremely happy to receive the acceptance notice. Since this is my first time entering this field, I know it may be difficult at first, but I will do my best for the sake of my future self.
Ko Jung Woo
"I believe that if you want to learn VFX in depth and properly, SF Film School is the place to go."
Before applying to SF Film School, I attended a six-month metaverse game development program using Unreal Engine at a training institute in Busan. During the final team project, I was responsible for creating objects and effects needed for gameplay. I found the work extremely interesting, and after completing the course, I developed a strong desire to study this field in greater depth, which ultimately led me to choose VFX as my career path.
Even from a young age, I had always carried an interest, curiosity, and lingering desire toward designing visual elements. Although my experience during the training program was at a beginner level, the entire process of working on the project was genuinely enjoyable and exciting for me.
Because I wanted to learn these skills more professionally, I searched online and discovered SF Film School. Unlike many other academies, SF Film School stood out to me because of its achievements in international competitions and the high quality of its students’ work. Looking at those results made me feel that it was a place I could trust and confidently learn from, which led me to apply.
When I first visited for a consultation, I really liked the Iron Man displays decorating the academy. I was also impressed by how closely the instructors seemed to provide feedback and guidance to students. In addition, I was very grateful for how kindly and thoroughly the instructor explained everything during the consultation.
Even while attending the consultation, I felt strongly that I wanted to complete the VFX program at SF Film School. After going through the first and second interview process and finally receiving the acceptance notice, all I could think about was that I needed to work hard.
I am incredibly excited because it feels like I have taken one step closer toward the VFX field that has always interested me. I look forward to the journey ahead.
Kim Dong Je
"I will take responsibility for the path I have chosen in VFX and work hard with dedication."
I first learned about the VFX field through a friend. Since I have always enjoyed games and found creating things interesting, I became interested in pursuing VFX as a career path.
As my interest in VFX grew, I started noticing details that I had never paid attention to before. For example, I began appreciating the background design of the dining hall in Harry Potter and the incredibly detailed work in Frozen 2, such as the tiny facial hairs on Anna’s character. I was deeply impressed by the effort put into even the smallest details. I felt that this level of attention and dedication suited my personality well because I tend to become completely immersed in things that capture my interest.
After deciding to pursue VFX as my career path, I searched for a place where I could learn professionally and eventually discovered SF Film School. While browsing the website, I looked through the students’ portfolios and could feel the effort and passion behind their work. I was also amazed by the high quality of the projects and felt that SF Film School had a unique educational approach that set it apart from other institutions.
During the application and consultation process, I appreciated how the school seemed genuinely interested in me as an individual through the various questions they asked. As someone without a related academic background, I honestly worried a lot about whether I would be capable of succeeding in this field. That is why I felt incredibly relieved and grateful to be accepted.
I am very happy to have been accepted, and I look forward to learning and growing here. Thank you, and I will do my best.
Kim Seung Hyun
"I feel excited and look forward to growing further at SF Film School."
I became interested in VFX because I have always loved Marvel movies. After watching films, I often watched behind-the-scenes footage, and I was amazed by how many scenes made me think, “This was CG too?” I found it fascinating and started thinking that I also wanted to create parts of movies and dramas like those.
Among the various areas of VFX, I was most interested in 3D modeling. I really enjoyed the process of creating something from nothing and building it piece by piece, whether recreating a reference accurately or constructing an entirely new object from scratch.
In school, my professors often showed portfolios from SF Film School graduates as examples. I also spent a lot of time looking through portfolios for reference while creating my own work. I was especially impressed by the high quality of the portfolios made by SF Film School graduates. I thought to myself that I really wanted to study there as well. As I researched SF Film School further, I liked the fact that they select only a small number of students through an interview process and provide frequent seminars and one-on-one feedback sessions in addition to regular classes.
These aspects made me trust the school even more and strengthened my desire to attend. Because of that, when I applied to SF Film School, I felt both excitement and nervousness at the same time. The first and second interview process was completely new to me, so it felt unique and a little intimidating. I also worried, “What if I don’t get accepted?”
However, after experiencing the process myself, I appreciated how clearly they explained what I would be learning and how the school could help me. It gave me a stronger sense of trust and confidence in the academy.
As I went through the interview process and eventually received my acceptance, I began to feel excited and hopeful that I could continue growing even more. Even though I have already learned some things in school, I want to approach everything with the mindset of starting fresh, work hard, and create a new portfolio that is just as impressive as those made by the graduates.
In school, I sometimes gave up easily when things seemed too difficult or challenging. But at SF Film School, I want to grow in many different ways with the support and guidance of my instructors.
No matter where I go, I never lose when it comes to sincerity and hard work!! I will do my best at SF Film School as well.
Park Myung Su
"I will work hard so that I have no regrets."
My interest in VFX first began while watching Frozen. I remember thinking, “I want to create something like that.” Since movies are such a familiar and everyday part of life, I gradually became more interested in working in a field like VFX.
I believe I am the type of person who can focus on one thing for a long time, so I thought this field might suit me well. The idea of creating something from nothing and visually bringing imagined ideas to life felt incredibly appealing to me.
As I decided to start pursuing VFX, I began looking into different academies. Since there were so many options, I thought I should visit all of them, and that was when I learned about SF Film School. I was surprised to hear that there were winners of international competitions associated with the school. Of course, winning a world competition is not my main goal, but if I ever have the opportunity, I would like to challenge myself and try as well.
When I applied, I felt extremely nervous because it felt like I was finally beginning something new. I think my feelings changed the most after the consultation at SF Film School. I was surprised that the consultation lasted around an hour and a half, and I really appreciated how honest the discussion felt. I liked how they explained things realistically, such as “If this approach doesn’t work, then there are other alternatives,” rather than only giving ideal answers. I also appreciated how they sincerely tried to help me identify and build on my own strengths.
Since I did not know much about the field, they explained things clearly and even showed videos from students in related areas to help me understand better. That left a strong impression on me. I was also impressed by the life-sized figures displayed inside the academy, and it was fascinating to see portfolio-class students working on their projects. Watching them made me think, “Will I be doing that someday too?”
The consultation itself almost felt like a surprise first interview, which I found interesting. I also really liked the second interview process. Writing about what I wanted to do and how I wanted to do it made me stop and ask myself, “Why did I want to do this in the first place?” It gave me a chance to think more deeply about my motivations.
After being accepted, I finally felt that things were truly beginning. At the same time, I started worrying about whether I would be able to do well. As someone without a related background, I wondered if I really had the ability to succeed in this field. Still, I was very happy to be accepted.
Because this is a field I truly want to pursue, I will do my best. I will work hard so that I never look back with regrets in the future.
Song Ju Hee
"I want to create great work with a positive attitude and the perseverance to believe I can accomplish anything."
I worked as a web designer for nine years, but I began to feel uncertain about my future and realized I needed self-improvement. I considered learning UX/UI, but since I knew almost nothing about graphics, I became curious about the field and thought that learning it properly could be useful in many areas.
To learn more about graphics, I looked into several academies. More than cost, I wanted to learn in the most efficient and professional environment possible, and among many options, SF Film School seemed like the best choice for me. The high-quality portfolios and the feeling that they genuinely focus on students' passion and determination, rather than simply trying to recruit people, made the school feel trustworthy.
Although I felt some pressure about learning a completely unfamiliar field, I decided to apply to SF Film School with the determination to learn passionately. The sincere and friendly counseling sessions, along with the second interview process through written documents, gave me the impression that students with similar goals and mindsets are brought together, which made me trust the school even more.
When I received the acceptance notice, I felt happy knowing that I would finally have the opportunity to professionally study VFX. With perseverance and a positive mindset that believes I can accomplish anything, I want to create great work and continue improving myself.
Lee Dan Bi
"I am grateful for the opportunity to learn what I truly want to do at a passionate academy."
While majoring in sculpture, I had the opportunity to experience using ZBrush. At that time, I started thinking about which field in graphics would suit me best if I pursued it further, and that was when I discovered Visual Graphics. Since it was related to my major and the tools also seemed suitable for me, I decided to pursue VFX.
I have many friends around me who either study graphics on their own or attend academies, and I heard many positive things about SF Film School. After researching it myself, I thought the students' portfolios on the academy’s website were incredibly high in quality. I also saw that many students had gone on to work at major domestic companies and even overseas, and through the interview process, I felt that the quality of education was extremely high, which ultimately led me to choose SF Film School.
During the consultation, I felt that the curriculum was designed efficiently with practical training and no unnecessary content. I also believed that with sufficient feedback and guidance from the instructors, creating a strong portfolio would definitely be achievable. When I first had the consultation, I was surprised by how many interview questions there were. It made me realize that students applying to SF Film School were also applying with serious determination, which motivated me to put genuine effort into my own responses as well.
Through the first and second interviews, I had the chance to reflect on myself and confirm how sincere I was about pursuing this field, which I saw as a very positive experience. It also felt like a systematic way for the school to truly understand each student, which I appreciated.
After being accepted, I felt both proud and aware that this was only the beginning. Even if I may not stand out faster than others, I do not want to become someone who falls behind or negatively affects those moving forward together.
I am grateful to have the chance to learn what I truly want to do at such a passionate academy. I am not overly sensitive to criticism or tough feedback, so I would actually appreciate hearing direct and honest advice whenever I fall short. I will work hard, keep learning until the end, and do my best. Thank you, and I look forward to the journey ahead.
Lee Yun Sung
"Even if I may be lacking or slow at times, I will do my best and work hard to learn."
I first became interested in the VFX field through my friends. During my senior year of university, one of my high school friends invited me to their graduation exhibition. While looking at the various works and listening to the explanations behind them, I became interested and naturally started thinking, "I want to try this too."
I also had another friend who was building a portfolio for employment. At the time, I did not know much about the field, but I often watched the process of creating their work. While observing and giving feedback, I found myself thinking things like, "It would be better if this part were done this way," or "Something like this could be added here." As I noticed these ideas coming naturally to me, I started thinking, "If it's something like this, maybe I want to try it too," and that became the reason I decided to pursue VFX.
When I visited several academies and attended consultations, I often heard vague explanations and unrealistic promises guaranteeing employment. I also felt that many of the portfolio examples looked lacking. Then I came across SF Film School online and heard many positive reviews, which led me to visit.
During my consultation at SF Film School, I immediately felt a clear difference compared to other academies, especially in the areas of portfolios and counseling. Although I was a non-major and unfamiliar with the field, the explanations were much more professional and detailed than those at other places I had visited. The quality of the portfolio work also stood out significantly compared to the other academies I had consulted with. Furthermore, hearing that the school encourages students to think broadly about career paths and future opportunities made me feel that this was the right place for me.
When I first applied, I felt both fear and excitement at the same time. I wondered, "Will I really be able to do well in this field?" while also thinking, "It's exciting to learn something completely new again." However, through the first interview, I was able to think about my future direction in a simple way, and through the second interview, I had the opportunity to build the mindset I would need moving forward. It became a valuable experience for me.
As a result, I was accepted, and now my excitement has become stronger than my fear. I think I have gained a little more confidence and started to believe, "I can do this."
As I continue attending the academy, I want to work harder to catch up and learn with even greater effort. I want to see the world from a perspective different from the one I had during university and continue striving forward. Since this is a completely new field for me, I believe there will be times when I may appear inexperienced or frustrating. Even so, I will continue doing my best and work hard until the end.
Lee Jun Jae
"I will continue to put in my utmost effort and work hard while learning."
Since high school, I have been full of excitement and passion for both 2D and 3D video production, and I still feel the same way today. However, since I had been living alone as an international student in China from a young age, I did not have the opportunity to learn professionally. Despite those challenging circumstances, I continued studying on my own with nothing but passion and excitement, learning through YouTube videos and online tutorials.
During university classes, I happened to come across VFX and was introduced to various technical aspects such as modeling, rigging, animation, and chroma key techniques. This experience greatly increased my curiosity about VFX. As I became more familiar with the field, I realized while watching movies and advertisements that use computer graphics that VFX is absolutely essential. Creating such content had always been my dream and desired career path, and I understood that studying and mastering VFX was necessary to achieve it.
Fortunately, after completing my military service, I had some time left before returning to university. I wanted to spend that time studying with professional instructors, so I started searching for different academies. That was when SF Film School caught my attention as a place where I could learn the graphics field that I had truly wanted to study.
If I had to describe my first impression of the school in one sentence, it would be: "Wow... what is this place?" Rather than being filled with advertisements promoting the academy, the website mainly showcased the works of students who had studied there. Looking at both the finished projects and their production processes, I was amazed and thought, "Did students really create these works?" At the same time, I strongly felt that I wanted to become part of such an incredible group someday.
The curriculum at SF Film School was also organized in a way that made it easy for me to understand and follow. All these elements sparked my motivation, and without hesitation, I immediately applied.
Before participating in the first and second interviews, I was honestly worried about whether my intentions and thoughts would be clearly communicated to the instructors. However, the questions provided by the teachers were simple yet focused on the important points. Rather than making me nervous, they actually gave me an opportunity to reflect on myself more deeply and understand what I truly wanted to learn and achieve.
When I applied to SF Film School, I was genuinely desperate and sincere about it. During my military service, I had spent a long time thinking about my future and career path, and I felt that studying and learning at SF Film School was something I truly needed. Because of that, I applied with a very sincere and earnest heart.
When I received the acceptance email, I felt incredibly happy and excited to finally have the chance to study at the academy I had wanted so much. At the same time, I also felt a strong sense of responsibility and realized that I needed to approach this opportunity with sincerity and dedication.
I will soon begin taking regular classes together with my classmates, and I know the journey will not be easy. However, as the saying goes, "You only learn how to stand after falling many times," I want to challenge myself, make mistakes, learn through experience, and continue moving forward together with my instructors and classmates. With responsibility and determination, I will study hard during the next six months and continue pursuing the dream that I have always wanted to achieve.
Cho Eun Seol
"I believe that SF Film School’s vision for the future aligns closely with my own goals."
I was first introduced to the Visual Graphics field while preparing for animation entrance exams from elementary school through high school. During that time, I listened to and learned from professionals working in the industry. I realized that creating animation was not simply about drawing on paper, but also involved using 3D techniques to create character expressions, movements, backgrounds, effects, and many other elements. At that time, it felt incredibly new and fascinating to me, and I thought that if I could do this kind of work in the future, I would truly be happy. That was when my interest in the field first began.
After that, I became increasingly interested in 3D graphics from companies like Disney and Pixar. As I watched and experienced more of their work, my desire grew stronger to create my own unique characters, stories, and detailed expressions with my own hands. This eventually led me to choose the VFX field.
I looked into many different academies, but I felt that SF Film School’s direction for the future and its curriculum closely matched my own goals. During my senior year of high school, I first saw SF Film School portfolios through YouTube and websites, and I was amazed by the high quality of the work and the passion shown by the students. From that point on, my desire to study there continued to grow.
When I visited the academy, I was impressed by the facilities spread across different floors, the individual study spaces, and the areas where students could work while observing movements in real-life settings. It did not feel like an ordinary academy—it felt more like a place where people who are truly passionate about CG gather together.
When I received the acceptance email, I felt happy, but at the same time, I also felt a sense of responsibility. I will do my best to achieve the goals I have set for myself. I want to challenge myself together with others and ultimately achieve our dreams.
Chae Min Kyoung
"I will do my best to create a high-quality portfolio."
Originally, I had planned to pursue a career in the 2D animation industry or become an illustrator. However, after entering university and taking classes related to 3D, I was able to indirectly experience the appeal of VFX. I found myself becoming much more interested in 3D classes than in 2D classes, which eventually led me to change my career direction.
Later, I came across SF Film School’s high-quality portfolios on YouTube and also saw the school’s employment outcomes on its website, which motivated me to schedule a consultation.
When I visited the academy, I was impressed by the fact that the school occupied an entire building, providing many spaces that students could use. Since I am currently studying in a related major, I had experienced difficulties at school due to lower-performance equipment and outdated software versions. In comparison, SF Film School having multiple high-performance computers available felt like a major advantage and left a very positive impression on me.
I also appreciated the second interview process because it gave me an opportunity to reflect on myself again. I believe my strengths are being calm, composed, and having the dedication to finish any task I take on until the end. I think these qualities will become important strengths for pursuing a career in VFX.
At the same time, I tend to worry more than others because I often try to predict and control future situations in advance. While this characteristic can be helpful because it allows me to prepare for potential problems beforehand, I also realized that it can become a weakness if taken too far, causing unnecessary stress. Through the interview process, I had the chance to think once more about both the strengths I can utilize and the areas I need to improve while pursuing VFX, which I found meaningful.
When I received my acceptance notification, I felt very happy to have the opportunity to study at SF Film School. I will do my best to create a portfolio with a high level of quality and continue working hard to improve myself.
Choi Kyu Byung
"I believe I am spending a turning point in my life together with SF Film School."
Since my school days, I have been interested in movies and animation, and I was especially drawn to the field of Visual Graphics. During that time, I learned about Industrial Light & Magic and decided that it would become my dream company.
As I developed a stronger interest in film and continued preparing for art entrance exams, I eventually enrolled in the Department of Art and Design at the university I currently attend. While taking classes, I became interested in the filmmaking process itself and participated in video production classes and short film study groups, where I personally learned about the process of creating short films. During that time, I also had opportunities to meet people working in video-related industries, and I realized the importance of developing my own strengths and unique qualities that could set me apart.
As I continued my studies at university, I felt the need for more specialized education and discovered SF Film School through online research. Later, SF Film School was mentioned again during lectures given by senior students from my university, which led me to look further into the academy. I checked the portfolios and curriculum on the website and felt that they were noticeably different from other academies. The quality and individuality of the work stood out to me.
I thought the small class sizes would allow me to receive more personalized guidance and learn more effectively, which felt like a learning environment that suited me well. The portfolio works I saw were also closely related to the type of projects I personally wanted to create, and looking at them inspired me with the determination that one day I want to create works like these as well.
That motivation led me to apply to SF Film School. After visiting and seeing the professional equipment and spacious facilities, I became even more certain that this was where I wanted to study. I could once again feel the same passion from the students that I had first noticed through their portfolios.
After completing the second interview and finally receiving my acceptance notification, I felt incredibly happy. Personally, I believe this year will become a very important turning point in my life.
I will approach this opportunity sincerely and learn with dedication. As I participate in the SF educational program, I will rely on my strengths—adaptability and diligence—and give my best throughout the entire process.
Kong Kyoung Seong
"I came to this academy because I want to work harder in proportion to how inexperienced and uncertain I feel."
As I went through everyday life, I gradually started noticing how 3D graphics were integrated into many things around me, such as advertisements, animation, films, games, and art. I came to think of it as a very attractive field with strong potential for the future. What particularly left an impression on me were the large-scale 3D billboard advertisements seen in places like New York and Tokyo, as well as Disney-style animations that convey various messages to people. Those experiences made me think that this was the field I wanted to pursue, which led me to start searching for academies.
Through my research, I discovered SF Film School, and its distinctive curriculum and portfolio work immediately caught my attention. When I visited, I was impressed by the large number of students and felt a sense of trust in the school. I was especially impressed by the interview process, which made me think deeply about myself. The second interview in particular, where I had the chance to reflect on who I am, left a strong impression on me.
I believe one of my strengths is my personality — I have no difficulty communicating or collaborating with others, and I always make an effort to work hard, which I think will be an advantage in learning and working in the 3D field.
After going through the detailed interview process, I finally received my acceptance notification. I felt happiness, but also fear about entering a completely new field. I know I still have many things to learn and improve, but because I feel inexperienced and uncertain, I want to work even harder. I will do my best and dedicate myself fully to learning.
Kim Do Woo
"I want to create characters that can appeal to people of all ages and genders."
Although I was not someone who frequently watched movies when I was younger, I always made sure to watch 3D animated films from Disney and Pixar. Watching captivating characters such as the protagonists from Tangled and Frozen, along with their visually stunning presentations, made me think that I wanted to create something similar one day. Regardless of age or gender, these characters had a charm that resonated with everyone. I wanted to deliver to audiences that simple yet powerful feeling of enjoyment that I experienced while watching those films.
However, I felt that choosing a career path based on a brief thought would be too hasty, so I decided to give myself more time and think about it more seriously. As I entered high school, I considered various career paths, but around the time of graduation, I thought to myself that I wanted to start pursuing this interest again and began looking into academies.
That was when I first came across SF Film School through a YouTube Shorts video titled "A Korean Student's 3D Animation That Won a World Competition." I was immediately amazed by the quality of the work because it was difficult to believe that it had been created by a student. I quickly visited the academy’s website and saw practice materials, classrooms, small class sizes, and portfolios from current students — many of the things I had been looking for while researching academies. Seeing all of those aspects together made me feel that this was a place I could trust.
After going through the challenging interview and application process and finally hearing that I had been accepted, I felt filled with excitement and happiness.
I would describe myself as someone who explores beyond what I am taught — if I learn one thing, I naturally become curious enough to investigate three more. I also believe I have a personality that gets along well with others and adapts easily in group environments. With a strong desire to explore and a personality that allows me to work well with others, I will give my best effort in both learning and growing. I will work hard and dedicate myself fully to learning.
Kim Do Hee
"I want to continue growing without giving up and move forward together with others."
My first encounter with VFX was vague and natural through videos and media I saw on television. However, I came to understand it more deeply after entering university and studying subjects related to my major. I chose this field because everything that could be expressed visually felt fascinating to me, and among those, moving visuals and especially the world of 3D stood out the most.
I wanted to learn Maya, so I started searching for Maya academies in Seoul. While doing so, I came across a portfolio video created by an SF Film School student on YouTube and was amazed by its quality. That experience led me to learn more about SF Film School.
Compared to other academies, SF Film School seemed to have much more professional and well-structured equipment and systems designed for students, making it appear to be an excellent environment for learning. In addition, after looking through the website and social media pages, I felt that the instructors were not simply teaching students mechanically. Instead, I could sense their passion, dedication, and pride in what they do. I also felt that the students were genuinely committed to their work. The students' portfolio projects were of such high quality that they had gained international recognition, which made choosing SF Film School feel like a natural decision.
When I visited SF Film School for a consultation, I noticed that it was conveniently located near Gangnam Station, making transportation easy. I was also surprised to see that the academy occupied the entire building and maintained a clean and organized environment. Even small details, such as the messages written in the restrooms, gave me the impression that this was a place that truly cared about its students. Because of that, I felt that if possible, I wanted to learn alongside many different people here and grow together with them.
At first, I was a little overwhelmed by the amount of questions in the first and second interview process. However, after reading through them, I realized that the purpose was to understand each student in greater depth and get to know them more personally. I appreciated that approach. The interview process also gave me the opportunity to reflect on aspects of myself that I do not usually think deeply about, so I have a positive impression of the way the interviews are conducted.
When I applied and visited the academy in person, I became even more certain that I wanted to study here with various people and grow together. I was truly happy when I was accepted.
I will complete the curriculum with passion and dedication. Even if I may be inexperienced and lacking at first, I want to continue improving without giving up and move forward together with the people at SF Film School.
Kim Ye Eun
"I want to grow by receiving positive influence from the talented students gathered at SF Film School."
Since I was young, I had a talent for art, especially for creating three-dimensional objects, which naturally led me to major in sculpture. I enjoyed spending long periods of time creating detailed and delicate forms, so I naturally became interested in 3D modeling. As my interests expanded, I began thinking about pursuing a career related to films, animation, or games in the future, which eventually led me to choose the VFX field.
While studying sculpture, most of my work involved physical creations, but I also wanted to explore digital work. As I searched for related software and videos, I came to the conclusion that I needed professional education through an academy. While researching different academies, I found SF Film School and felt that it was the place that most closely matched what I was looking for.
When choosing an academy, I tend to prefer larger institutions. Through majoring in art and preparing for art entrance exams, I realized that while a good educational system and talented instructors are important, the influence of being surrounded by highly skilled students is also valuable. The stronger the academy’s reputation and scale, the more likely it is to attract talented and motivated students. Seeing SF Film School’s many achievements and the high-quality work created by its students strongly influenced my decision.
When I first saw SF Film School, I felt that this was a place where I could create the most diverse and highest-quality work possible. The facilities, including various programs, motion capture equipment, and screening rooms, made me feel that I would be able to gain many different experiences here.
The first and second interview process also gave me an opportunity to think more deeply about what I truly wanted to learn and what career path I wanted to pursue. When I first applied, I only had a vague idea of wanting to learn 3D programs. However, after being accepted, I became more determined to attend seriously and work hard toward my goals.
As I continue my studies here, I want to create work without any regrets and give my absolute best effort. Although I have very little experience using 3D software, I am starting from the beginning, which means I can build strong fundamentals from the ground up by following the academy’s guidance. Since I majored in sculpture, I am also confident in my ability to create forms and structures and believe I can keep up with others in that area.
I hope to spend meaningful and rewarding time at SF Film School and continue growing throughout the journey.

I became interested in video production at a young age, and during high school I started creating videos more seriously. Currently, while studying in a media-related department at university, I developed an even greater interest in this field. I became curious about how CG was created, so I searched for it on YouTube. Since I had always enjoyed watching special effects productions, I started thinking, "If I learn CG, I could create the scenes that I have always wanted to make myself."
While watching special effects content, I became interested in creating action scenes, suits, creatures, and unique characters of my own. I felt that my skills in 2D editing alone were not enough, so I wanted to improve my abilities in 3D as well. While looking for academies, I contacted several places with strong portfolios and visited them for consultations. I discovered SF Film School in the same way.
To be honest, I researched and visited many places before deciding to contact the academy that seemed best to me. When I first had a consultation at SF Film School, it felt different from the others. One thing that particularly stood out was the practice studio. Seeing the facilities made me think, "I can actually create professional-level work in an academy environment." I also thought that if I studied here, not only would I be able to create the things I had imagined, but I would also be able to grow even further.
I was honestly surprised when I saw that there were first and second interviews. The idea of entering an academy through an interview process was something completely new to me. However, after hearing the reason behind it during the consultation, I thought it made sense. If someone joins a program that does not suit them, they could end up wasting both time and money, so I thought the interview process was actually a good way to reduce that possibility.
When I first applied to SF Film School, my only thought was that if I got accepted, I would work hard. Even now that I have been accepted, that feeling has not changed. However, since I will be learning 3D, which is something that has had little connection to my past experiences, I also feel some fear. Still, since I have already decided to pursue it, I want to give it my absolute best effort.
I want to work hard, create the things I have always wanted to make on my own, build strong portfolios, and become someone recognized for my work. I will do my best and dedicate myself fully to learning.

When I was in middle school, I simply enjoyed videos and thought that I wanted to study a video-related field in university and eventually pursue a career in it. Later, after entering high school and thinking more seriously about my future path, I came across VFX content. I was fascinated by how realistic videos could be created through various processes and found that aspect extremely appealing.
While taking a 3D Animation course in university, I had the chance to learn Maya for the first time. Although it was challenging, I remember enjoying the process because of the strong sense of accomplishment I felt while working on projects. That experience gave me confidence that this was the field I wanted to pursue.
After deciding that I wanted to build my future in VFX, I felt that I would need professional guidance and education, so I started searching for academies and eventually discovered SF Film School. Seeing that it was ranked highly among internationally recognized schools and academies made me feel that it was a place with proven quality and skills.
Through the website, I saw that SF Film School welcomed beginners in 3D as well, but I was still worried about whether someone with limited experience like me would be able to keep up. However, when I visited for a consultation and looked around the facilities, I saw many students studying in a great environment, and I thought that I also wanted the opportunity to learn properly in a place like that.
Visiting the academy in person, listening to explanations, and answering the questions in the second application process helped me organize my thoughts and reflect on what I truly wanted to do. After becoming an accepted student, I began feeling both a sense of responsibility to complete the program and concern about whether I would be able to keep up with everything.
Even so, I want to continue without giving up and complete the program to the very end. I know there are still many things for me to learn, and because of that, I will continue working hard and giving my best effort.

I had actually been interested in this field for a long time, but because there were so many different types of design and so much information available, I did not even know the exact name of what I wanted to do. Eventually, I realized that what I truly wanted was to create videos, and I began researching it more actively.
What attracts me most about video content is the sense of realism, liveliness, and the feeling of being overwhelmed by a work itself. I found that experience very fascinating and began thinking that I wanted to learn how to create that kind of impact myself.
SF Film School seemed to be one of the most widely recognized and internationally known institutions, and I was especially amazed by the work created by its graduates. Looking at their projects made me immediately think, "I want to learn here."
Compared to other academies, I felt that SF Film School offered a more focused learning environment through smaller class sizes, and I liked the serious and professional atmosphere. I also think the two-step interview system is a good approach. Rather than feeling like a stressful interview process, it felt more like an opportunity to understand a student’s personality, determine whether the academy and the student are a good match, and see if the curriculum aligns with the student’s goals before enrollment.
Even after becoming an accepted student, my feelings are not very different from when I first applied. I still have the same strong desire to learn here.
From now on, I will study very hard and seriously work on improving my skills. I have a strong interest in animation, and I want to gain a wide variety of experiences and continue learning many new things. I look forward to doing my best.

My university major was video editing and filming, and I graduated in Australia before settling in Korea. As I became increasingly interested in the editing field, I naturally learned about VFX and began researching it further. As I continued exploring this field, I felt that it aligned very well with both my academic background and personal interests. I also learned about SF Film School through recommendations from acquaintances and the internet, and I came to know it as an institution where professional education can be received. During the first interview visit, I was able to see the facilities inside the building and various creative works, and I was impressed by the professional and artistic atmosphere as well as the passion of the students. During the second interview process, it once again encouraged me to think carefully about myself and my future, and I felt that it was a meaningful approach. With a passionate desire to learn, I completed my application, and after being accepted, I was given the opportunity to learn in a more professional environment. Through this opportunity, I have set a goal of improving my expertise and continuing to grow through dedication and hard work. Since I settled in Korea with the goal of pursuing a career related to video editing, I want to build professional skills in the VFX field and create creative work, with the hope of working for both domestic and international companies in the future.
