"The portfolio that stood out to me with the highest quality was the one from SF Film School."

A few years ago, when the ‘metaverse’ market was gaining significant attention, I first learned about the job of a ‘3D modeler’. As I researched it, I found it interesting and felt that the nature of the work would suit me well. While looking up various information, I came across the student portfolios on the SF Film School website. The more I looked at them, the more I felt that the CG field — especially hard surface modeling — aligned perfectly with the direction I wanted to pursue. The deeper I explored the field, the stronger my desire grew to work in this area, which ultimately led me to apply to this academy.
From my perspective, the portfolios that felt the highest in quality as actual video content were those from SF Film School.
Once I complete my training and am ready for employment, I plan to begin job hunting right away. My top desired field is the film industry.

"I saw this as a new beginning, and the only thought I had was, 'I have to work hard.'"

I first discovered this field when I accidentally came across a YouTube video of someone working with Houdini. As I watched the actual working process and read various reviews, my interest continued to grow. I realized that I would be much happier doing work I was genuinely interested in and passionate about, rather than continuing in my current job. After much thought, I decided to take the leap and pursue this path.
While viewing the portfolio works of students who had attended SF Film School, I became curious about the academy and began researching it more deeply.
Now that I’ve been accepted, I see this as a brand new beginning, and the only thought in my mind is, “I have to work hard.” When I chose this field, it wasn’t simply because I wanted to do the work — I want to leave my name and make a meaningful mark in this industry. I will give it my all.

"I will strive to bring what I imagine to life with my own hands."

While studying film as my major, I became more interested in special effects than in film editing. I felt it suited my aptitude better, which led me to choose this field.
I selected SF Film School after seeing a large number of highly professional-looking student works, which gave me strong confidence in the quality of the classes. During the consultation, I realized the academy was even more specialized and professional than I had initially expected.
Since I am still new to VFX, I plan to decide on my exact career path based on the experience I gain after learning. For now, I am considering a direction focused on character modeling and implementation.
I will work hard to turn the things I imagine into reality with my own hands.

"It felt more like a professional school where I could learn properly, rather than just an academy."

I have always enjoyed watching and analyzing movies. While researching careers related to film, I discovered this field. Although it may not seem directly related at first glance, I realized that Visual Graphics is the perfect convergence of my current major and my personal interests. That’s why I wanted to learn it.
I found out about SF Film School through internet searches and YouTube. After attending the consultation and touring the facility, I felt that it was closer to a professional school than a typical academy.

"I felt happy when I saw the word 'Accepted.'"

I developed an interest in film during middle school, and by high school, I started researching jobs in the Visual Graphics field. Since it has been a field I’ve consistently been interested in, I chose to pursue it.
The portfolios of SF Film School students looked particularly solid and impressive. When I saw the acceptance message, I felt genuinely happy.
Since I chose this path because it’s something I truly want to do, I will work hard and give it my best effort.

“I Will Become a Modeling Designer Recognized and Respected by Everyone”

I first became interested in visual graphics through the field of product modeling. During middle and high school, I participated in inventor activities, where I created blueprints to explain my inventions. Through this process, I became deeply interested in visualizing and developing my ideas into something concrete. Later, in university, I began using 3D software and discovered how exciting it was to move beyond drawings and bring products to life in three dimensions. This experience naturally led me into the world of visual graphics and 3D modeling.

I was especially inspired by games such as The Evil Within and Resident Evil, which introduced me to software like Autodesk Maya and ZBrush. I also became fascinated by projects that combine virtual technology and advanced graphics, which motivated me to pursue this field more seriously.

No matter how long I spent working through the night, modeling was always something I genuinely enjoyed and found exciting. When I think about my future, I cannot imagine myself not working in modeling or giving up the opportunity to continue learning and improving in this field.

Wanting to study visual graphics more deeply, I chose SF Film School after receiving recommendations from mentors around me and researching online. I was impressed by the school’s curriculum, which explained that even students without a related major could receive professional training from beginner to advanced levels. Looking through the students’ portfolios also convinced me that I could achieve outstanding results if I studied there.

When I finally visited the campus, I felt both excited and nervous. Seeing the large building I had only seen online made me realize that I was finally standing in the place I truly wanted to attend. Unlike other academies, SF Film School had specialized classrooms divided by 분야, seminar rooms, and especially a motion capture studio where students could gain hands-on experience. These facilities strengthened my desire to study there even more.

What impressed me the most during the consultation process was the sincerity of the instructors and staff. Even though I was not yet a student, they took the time to explain not only how to study effectively, but also the mindset needed for success and the different career paths available in the industry.

When I received the acceptance notice, I realized that I had taken one step closer toward achieving my dream. At the same time, it reminded me that I needed to work even harder from that point forward.

I will become a modeling designer whom everyone can recognize and respect. Now that I have been accepted with this goal in mind, I will do my best to put it into action. I will sincerely participate in every class and activity at SF Film School and continue striving harder than anyone else until the very end.

“Because It Has Been My Passion for a Long Time, I Wanted to Learn It Properly and in Depth”

Visual graphics is a field I discovered while narrowing down my career choices by finding something that both interested me and suited my strengths. Among the many aspects of filmmaking, I was especially fascinated by film art and production design, which are closely related to my major. This naturally led me to choose a field where I could learn the essential elements that shape the visual atmosphere and cinematic quality of a film.

When I visited SF Film School, I explored every floor from the first to the seventh, including the cinema hall, studios, and various professional facilities and equipment. The experience felt both new and familiar at the same time, as though I was seeing a compressed version of the environment I hope to work in someday. It made me feel excited about my future in the industry.

When choosing an educational institution, I place great importance on its vision and whether it meets both domestic and international standards. I was highly impressed by the students’ portfolios, and I also found the curriculum easy to understand because it emphasized the importance of building strong foundational theory while understanding the entire production process as a whole.

Considering all these aspects together, I concluded that SF Film School was the place where I could gain the most valuable experience and education. Because this field has been something I have cared deeply about for a long time, I decided to apply in order to study it properly and in greater depth.

In the future, I would like to create portfolio pieces that resemble scenes recreated from live-action films—videos that feel cinematic, as though they were actual moments taken directly from a movie. My current goal is to build a portfolio strong enough to work for overseas companies and to gain practical experience in the visual graphics industry afterward. As I continue studying VFX, I plan to develop a more concrete and specialized career path for myself.

“I Will Never Forget the Passion I Had When I First Began Learning, and I Will Continue to Strive Until the End.”

While attending university, I took classes that focused on Adobe Photoshop and Adobe After Effects. Through these courses, I discovered how fascinating it was to create something entirely new in a digital environment. As my interest continued to grow, my attention naturally expanded into the field of 3D graphics.

I also took classes within the Department of Cartoon and Animation, which was outside my main field of study. There, I became deeply interested in creating realistic three-dimensional objects that went beyond traditional 2D artwork. Although I experienced many trials and errors throughout the learning process, I overcame them by studying various tools and techniques. The sense of achievement I felt when I finally created the forms I envisioned is something I still cannot forget.

Through working on graphic projects, I also realized that spending long hours in front of a computer suited my personality and working style well, which further confirmed my decision to pursue the graphics field professionally.

At university, I gathered students who shared an interest in 3D software and created a study group together. Through one of the members, I learned about SF Film School. I was especially drawn to the academy’s professional facilities, which seemed ideal for producing high-quality portfolios.

Another aspect that appealed to me was the small class system. Because only a limited number of students are accepted each term, I believed communication and collaboration between classmates would be much stronger. I felt that these relationships could continue to support one another not only during portfolio production, but also after entering the industry.

When I visited the academy for counseling, I became even more convinced after seeing the facilities in person, watching students passionately working on their projects, and observing the instructors fully immersed in teaching. These experiences greatly strengthened my trust in SF Film School.

Being accepted into SF Film School, which selects only a small number of students, made me feel truly honored and special. As my first step after graduation, I am excited to begin learning graphics there.

After completing the program, I hope to create a strong portfolio and become a modeler specializing in realistic characters. Once I gain sufficient skills and industry experience, I would like to join the graphics team of a major company such as The Walt Disney Company.

Most importantly, I will never forget the passion and determination I had when I first decided to learn this field, and I will continue striving forward until the very end.

“I Want to Pour Everything I Have into Creating My Work.”

While thinking seriously about my future career path, I once visited an exhibition at Arte Museum. Until then, I had mainly been interested in the game industry and only dreamed of creating fantasy worlds and spectacular visuals. However, after experiencing the exhibition, I realized that what truly fascinated me was the ability to create immersive visual effects and dramatic experiences that emotionally impact people.

As I searched for more information about Arte Museum, I also learned about d'strict, which broadened my perspective and deepened my interest in motion graphics and visual media.

Wanting to discover what suited me best, I continued searching for videos related to VFX and eventually came across SF Film School. After seeing the high-quality portfolios created by graduates and learning about the school’s educational system, I became eager to receive counseling and learn more about the program.

During the first interview, the director’s explanations resonated with me deeply. I was genuinely grateful for how clearly and sincerely everything was explained, allowing me to understand so many important aspects within such a short amount of time. This left a very strong impression on me.

I also appreciated the structure of the second interview and the reflective writing process. It felt like an opportunity to look back on myself once again and reaffirm my passion and determination. Because of this, I found the experience incredibly meaningful and motivating.

I am truly happy to have been accepted. More than simply “working hard,” I want to devote everything I have into creating my work and growing as an artist.

The career plan I had envisioned for myself was to spend up to two years fully preparing for employment by creating a complete and polished portfolio. After that, I hope to first work at a company in Korea, where I can build professional experience and deepen my technical knowledge, before eventually pursuing opportunities overseas.

“I Want to Develop Professional-Level Skills and Build a Portfolio That Fully Represents Them.”

As a sculpture major, I have always paid close attention to the CG used in films, games, and advertisements. I was constantly amazed by the level of realism, creativity, and expressive detail used to recreate various forms and environments, and I often found myself wondering how such works were produced. However, I rarely had the opportunity to properly learn the necessary software and techniques, so my interest remained more of an admiration from afar.

After graduating from university, I spent a long time thinking about my future career path. During that process, I realized that I still had lingering passion and curiosity for this field. Even though I was starting later than others, I decided that I wanted to finally challenge myself and learn what I had truly wanted to pursue.

While searching for an academy, I came across SF Film School through its website and YouTube channel. I was able to see many student projects, and I was deeply impressed by the exceptionally high quality of the work. I was also attracted to the school’s detailed and diverse curriculum, as well as the opportunity for students to directly use professional equipment and tools that are actively used in the industry. These aspects convinced me that SF Film School was an institution genuinely focused on helping students grow, which led me to apply for counseling.

Through both the first and second interview processes, I felt reassured by the school’s small class system. I believed it would reduce concerns about large skill gaps between students and allow for a more focused learning environment. In particular, I have high expectations for the close interaction with instructors and the fast feedback made possible by the small cohort-based system.

Although beginning something completely new brings both anxiety and nervousness, I also feel a strong sense of excitement and determination to do my best.

While I still feel cautious about making overly ambitious statements, my goal is to develop practical, industry-level skills that would allow me to work in any field I choose, and to build a portfolio that fully reflects everything I am capable of achieving.

“I Strengthened My Determination and Realized That I Must Fully Commit Myself to the Program.”

While thinking about career aptitude and employment, I came to know the career path called VFX. When I go to the movie theater to see CG in the movie, the fact that I can make CG in the movie directly through VFX, and that I, who likes movies, can help make CG in the movie, was very interesting to me. While looking for VFX videos, I thought that the student's portfolio was too professional, so I applied for counseling. My first feeling after visiting was that it was a private institute that trained many professional fall students by looking at many history, awards, and numerous student photos on the wall. And while counseling, I thought that the standard system and the homeroom system of a small number of people were also advantages. I thought that the advantages are that I can receive various reference shares and a lot of feedback by being united with the same motives as the standard number of a small number of people, and that I can help them finish the curriculum through the homeroom system. In addition, I felt that SF Film School is a specialized academy where I can systematically learn programs that can be applied in practice compared to other academies. I thought I should work hard to fulfill my class by encouraging my will. I want to find a field that suits me and increase my ability, go to a domestic company (M83, Dexter, Madman Post, etc.) and gain a lot of experience to work abroad. I am very afraid, but I will try to grow up.

“I Am Extremely Excited Because I Will Finally Be Learning What I Truly Wanted to Do.”

Ever since middle school, whenever I watched movies filled with spectacular and visually impressive VFX, I always imagined myself participating in the creation of those films someday. At first, I was especially interested in superhero movies such as those from the Marvel Studios universe. However, after taking university classes related to film and graphics, I came to realize that VFX is not limited to flashy, eye-catching scenes. Many effects that audiences believe are completely real are actually carefully created with CG to make films feel more natural, immersive, and visually rich. Discovering this made me want to pursue this profession even more seriously.

When I first began searching for VFX academies, I watched many promotional videos and student portfolios from different institutions. Among them, I felt that the portfolio quality of students who graduated from SF Film School was by far the most impressive and professional.

As my interest grew, I researched the academy in greater detail and discovered through the SF Film School website that students could experience not only VFX production itself, but also filming processes using equipment such as green screens, motion capture systems, and professional filming setups. This aspect was extremely appealing to me because it offered opportunities to understand the entire production pipeline more deeply.

Since my long-term goal is to work overseas, I was also highly interested in the fact that students could receive feedback and confirmation from Hollywood industry professionals. That opportunity made the school stand out even more to me.

In the future, I hope to work overseas as part of a team specializing in modeling and VFX production. Although my plans are still somewhat broad at the moment, I believe it would be beneficial to experience various types of work at the academy, discover which 분야 suits me best, and then pursue employment in that direction.

I want to complete this program responsibly together with my cohort, and I am genuinely excited because I will finally be studying the field I have truly wanted to pursue for such a long time.

I will continue to work hard and give my best. Thank you.

"My desire to fully absorb and master what I learn has grown even stronger."

As I learned that the field of visual graphics is not simply grouped under the broad category of visual effects, but is divided into various specialized areas such as character modeling and environment compositing, my curiosity grew even more. Knowing how difficult it is to create something from nothing, I became interested in learning what the characters in movies looked like at the beginning of the production process. This led me to start watching behind-the-scenes videos.
Watching characters that initially existed only as green-screen figures gradually take shape through numerous stages of production and eventually become the heroes and villains I saw on screen made me want to be involved in creating those kinds of works myself.
After seeing the portfolios of SF Film School students, I became curious about the school's curriculum. As I watched the portfolio videos posted on the website, I found myself thinking, “I want to create something like that as well.”
At first, I was so nervous that I could not properly express myself, but everything was explained in a way that was easy to understand. Since the second interview was conducted through a written submission, I was able to complete and send it without feeling too much pressure.
I was nervous and worried about whether I would be able to do well, but at the same time, my desire to fully learn and master everything being taught became even stronger. By the end of the program, I will complete my portfolio to the highest standard and create a piece of work that will impress anyone who sees it.

"I developed a strong desire to learn graphics at SF Film School."

After playing the game Detroit: Become Human, I was deeply impressed and began wondering, “What tools, technologies, and processes are used to create graphics like these?” As I researched further and watched the making-of videos, I discovered that far more elements than I had expected—almost everything, in fact—were created using graphic technologies.
I became fascinated by the idea that a plain green screen could be transformed into a fantastic world of my own creation, and that ordinary actors could become a wide variety of characters through visual effects. Because of this, I decided that I wanted to learn the graphics techniques used in films.
Unlike other 3D graphics academies whose portfolios did not achieve a level of quality similar to live-action productions, I was impressed by the works created by SF Film School students. The fact that they personally filmed footage and produced videos that looked like actual movies made me think that I had to attend SF Film School.
Compared to other academies, I felt that the quality of the students’ portfolios was much higher, which made me strongly want to learn graphics at SF Film School as well.
I would like to create a spaceship that has landed on a planet inhabited by mysterious extraterrestrial creatures, similar to those seen in Alien. In the future, my long-term goal is to build a career in the graphics industry and secure employment in an English-speaking country.

“SF Film School’s Work Did Not Feel Like Student Projects, but Rather Like Watching High-Quality Films or Commercials.”

While searching for a career path that suited my aptitude, I came across various 3D portfolio videos from different academies on YouTube. For the first time, I strongly felt that I had found something I genuinely wanted to pursue as a profession.

I became especially interested in the visual graphics field because I realized that, if I learned these skills properly, I could also create personal creative videos similar to the impressive works made by overseas artists that I had previously only admired through short-form content online.

As I continued researching careers related to 3D video production, I naturally began learning more about CG and VFX. Among the many portfolios I viewed from different academies, the work from SF Film School stood out the most to me. Rather than feeling like student assignments, the projects looked more like professionally produced films or high-end commercial advertisements. Watching them made me think, “I want to create work like this as well.”

I was also impressed by the fact that the school consistently produces first-place winners in various competitions, which gave me greater confidence and trust in the academy.

After completing my portfolio, my immediate goal is to begin working in Korea. After gaining experience, I plan to improve my language skills, continue developing stronger portfolio projects, and eventually pursue employment opportunities overseas as well.

"I found what I could learn at SF Film School extremely fascinating."

My interest in the field of visual graphics began with my enjoyment of movies, games, and animations related to steampunk and dieselpunk. I became fascinated by the unique visual styles and special effects found in these works, which ultimately led me to choose this field.
In addition, I have a strong desire to provide a variety of visual experiences through creativity and original ideas in the field of visual graphics.
I first learned about SF Film School through a friend who attended the school. My friend spoke very highly of the skills and experience he gained there, and through him I was able to learn about the curriculum and atmosphere of SF Film School. As a result, I developed a strong desire to grow my creativity and creative abilities at this school as well.
After viewing the students' portfolios, I noticed that many high-quality works were being produced, which made what I could learn at SF Film School seem extremely interesting. I was also very attracted to the fact that the program allows students to challenge themselves creatively and experience the entire process of completing their own projects.
My first impression of the school was that it was a place filled with both a challenging and passionate atmosphere.

“I Was Amazed by the Professional Equipment and Facilities at SF Film School.”

Because of my parents’ profession, I was exposed to short 3D animated films from a young age, which naturally introduced me to this field early on. The direct motivation for choosing this path, however, came from watching my younger sibling learn Adobe Premiere Pro. Seeing the kinds of visually impressive videos that could be created inspired me to start learning Adobe After Effects myself.

At first, the videos I created were very simple, containing only text and music. Even so, after finishing them, I found myself replaying them over and over again because I was so fascinated by the process of creating something with my own hands. That experience motivated me to continue making various kinds of videos afterward.

My interest in the 3D field grew even further around two years ago, when I saw videos on YouTube where game objects with obviously stylized graphics were remodeled and composited to look almost photorealistic. I wanted to try creating something similar myself, so I attempted to follow tutorials from overseas creators. However, I quickly realized the limitations of learning entirely on my own, and from that point on, I began seriously thinking, “I really want to learn this properly.”

When I visited SF Film School, I was especially amazed by the variety of professional equipment and dedicated production spaces available to students. I was also very satisfied with the counseling process because I received answers to many questions I had about the future of this industry, career directions, and the curriculum itself—topics I had previously struggled to fully understand on my own.

My current goal is to find employment in this field. Before entering military service, I plan to complete the foundational version of my portfolio. After finishing my service, I hope to refine and expand it further by adapting to industry trends and developing a clearer understanding of my future career direction.

"It seemed to have a well-structured system."

After graduating with a master’s degree related to film production and working in the entertainment industry, I felt that my understanding of VFX was not sufficient. It seems that graduates of SF Film School are able to find jobs overseas as well, and the school appeared to have a well-structured system.
As a native of the United States with long experience working in the entertainment industry, I plan to work as a project manager (PM) at a VFX company.

"My ultimate goal is to create the animation I truly want to make."

While taking major-related classes, I decided to attend an academy in order to at least earn basic credits in 3D Maya as part of my elective studies. As I continued learning, I gradually became more interested in it, and during the rendering process, I was strongly drawn to seeing models become more realistic and lifelike.
At the same time, I began to wonder whether I could also create cinematic game videos that I had always thought were simply “cool.” This led me to shift my interest from wanting to create 2D animation to wanting to create 3D animation, and ultimately I decided to pursue this field.
The first academy I attended eventually closed down, so I began searching online for a better institution and came across SF Film School. I decided to choose it after learning that it has been operating for a long time and also because it was recommended by my previous instructor.
Through the first interview, I was able to understand what kind of school it is, what the atmosphere is like, and what facilities are available, which I found very helpful. The second interview also gave me an opportunity to think more concretely about what I want to do.
Until then, I had only vaguely thought that I wanted to go into 3D, but while researching academies, I began to seriously reflect on what exactly I wanted to do within the field of 3D. This became a strong motivation for me to reaffirm my goals and work even harder.
After visiting the school and hearing the explanations about the facilities and atmosphere, I really wanted to join. I am truly relieved and grateful to have been accepted, and I intend to learn everything I can here and leave with confidence.
I watched many accepted students’ portfolios on YouTube, and I hope that one day I will also be able to proudly upload my own work. I also want to create work that people can instantly recognize and remember, just like globally known CG films such as Avatar.
First of all, I aim to become a generalist artist who is not limited to modeling alone but can also handle rigging and animation. After gaining experience and building my career, I want to further improve my skills and eventually establish either a one-person studio or a team, and ultimately create the animation I truly want to make.

“I want to create a portfolio that is satisfying both visually and narratively.”

I have always admired well-made film graphics. I think I have loved animation and movies since elementary school. I never really thought deeply about what I liked to do, but as work became challenging, I wanted to find something I truly enjoy, and that led me to the field of Visual Graphics.
When I was in middle school, my dream was to work as a comic artist at Marvel. This is simply a chance to learn something I have always wanted to try at least once. While being introduced by acquaintances, a developer who is a graduate of SF Film School recommended it to me.
If I were to create a portfolio, I would like to make one similar to Love, Death & Robots, like Hibarro, that is satisfying both visually and in terms of storytelling.
