Hyun Wook
“I want to see it for myself. I will work hard.”
The thought came to me that “I no longer want to be a consumer, but someone who creates and supplies content.” There are many ways to create content, but I chose this field for two main reasons.
First, it is a comprehensive art form that allows the most concrete, realistic, and compelling realization of human imagination—no matter how absurd or extraordinary it may be.
Second, the world within 3D visuals is a paradoxical space where reality and unreality coexist—everything is fake, yet it feels real. Events in 3D visuals are things that would be difficult to experience in real life, but within the medium they are presented as “reality,” and therefore feel tangible, allowing them to move audiences emotionally. At times, due to the advancement of technology, it becomes difficult to distinguish whether something is 3D animation or reality itself. Although these two concepts are completely opposite, this paradoxical nature is what makes the field so attractive to me.
While browsing YouTube, I came across portfolios of current students from SF Film School through the algorithm, and I was deeply impressed by their quality. I also understand that this institution has a long history and tradition. If it has existed since 2001 until now, there must be value behind it—whether in reputation or skill—and I want to see that for myself directly.
Cho Jae Hun
“I Chose an Academy with a Strong Portfolio and Career System Because I Believed I Could Gain Much More There.”
Having majored in fine arts, I constantly worked on finding ways to present and establish myself as a creator in society. As the world rapidly changes, technologies and platforms such as AI, ZEPETO, NFTs, VR, CG, and 3D content have become increasingly connected to everyday life and popular culture. Especially after the pandemic, I noticed that many museums, galleries, and exhibition spaces began planning more exhibitions centered around VR, CG, and 3D-related experiences.
Because of these changes, I believe the future will continue evolving even faster, and it is important to adapt alongside the 시대. To me, computer programs are becoming the language of the modern world. I believe it is important to discover the language that best suits oneself, use it to concretize one’s identity, and ultimately establish oneself within society through it. Among many possibilities, the language that suited me best was the field of visual graphics.
I studied related knowledge and techniques independently through Google searches, online communities, and online lectures. However, the limitation of self-study was the lack of direct feedback and the difficulty of having to search for every answer entirely on my own.
Because of this, I wanted to find an academy with a well-structured learning system, strong portfolio guidance, and a clear career pathway—an environment where I believed I could gain much more than I could alone. I felt that SF Film School matched all of those qualities, which led me to visit and apply for counseling.
Since it was my first time visiting a specialized CG academy, I felt both awkward and extremely curious about many things. Even though I was not yet a student, I sincerely appreciated how thoughtfully the staff answered my questions and explained the curriculum, portfolio process, and even future career planning in detail during the consultation.
Going forward, I plan to participate sincerely in academy life and continue growing into a more mature and capable version of myself through steady effort and learning.
Moon Seo Hwi
“I Was Extremely Happy and Excited When I Received the Acceptance Notice.”
My favorite manga has always been One Piece, and when it comes to movies, I have always loved films from Marvel Studios. Among them, Spider-Man was my favorite character. While watching those movies, I often wondered whether the actor could actually perform those kinds of actions in real life. As I searched for answers, I learned that many of those scenes were only possible through CG and visual effects, which naturally sparked my interest in the field.
More recently, after watching the live-action adaptation of One Piece, my interest became even stronger, and that experience ultimately led me to choose the field of visual graphics seriously.
I felt that SF Film School was a place where students could learn in a highly systematic and professional environment while also receiving careful attention and support as individuals. I was especially impressed by the academy’s facilities, including the theater space, the chroma key studio, and the many high-quality student projects displayed throughout the academy. Seeing all of those things made me both surprised and inspired.
When I received the call informing me that I had been accepted, I felt incredibly happy and excited.
My ultimate goal is to become a CG professional. Although there are many different career paths within the CG industry, I am especially interested in the character field and hope to pursue a career related to character creation and production in the future.
Choi Jeong Hee
“I am confident that I can give it my all.”
My interest in the Visual Graphics field began when I came across a video on social media showing a blueberry pie being created with a 3D software program. I was fascinated by the process and became curious about how the graphics I had always seen in movies and on television were actually made.
As I continued researching and learning more about the field, I became captivated by the idea that artists could create almost anything they could imagine. That realization was what ultimately inspired me to pursue Visual Graphics as a career path.
I chose SF Film School because it seemed more professional and systematic than other institutions I had researched. I believed that, through its specialized training and industry-focused curriculum, I would be able to develop not only high-quality portfolio projects but also the practical skills needed for a professional career.
During my first consultation, one thing that stood out to me was the strong communication between instructors and students. It gave me the impression that students receive genuine guidance and support throughout their learning journey.
I have a strong interest not only in graphics itself but also in all the elements that contribute to great visual design, such as color theory, composition, environmental storytelling, and scene layout. Most importantly, I am confident that I can dedicate myself fully to learning and improving.
For my portfolio, I want to create projects that tell a story. Rather than producing a collection of unrelated pieces, I would like to build a portfolio with a unified theme and consistent narrative. For example, I would love to create a single house and explore how it changes throughout the seasons, how the personalities and interests of its residents influence the environment, and how the objects, atmosphere, and details within the home evolve over time. Through this approach, I hope to create meaningful and immersive visual stories.
Looking ahead, I would like to enter university as soon as possible, complete my studies, gain professional experience in Korea, and eventually pursue career opportunities overseas.

Kim Hyeon Jae
“After going abroad, I want to build my career in Canada or the United States and prove both my work and my skills.”
After watching the movie Avatar, I found it extremely interesting, and once I learned how it was made, I became interested in 3D character modeling and 3D animation production.
I learned about Avatar and developed a strong interest in how it was created, which led me into this field.
I first learned about SF Film School through a friend’s recommendation. After visiting the website, I chose it because it seemed highly responsible and confident in its teaching, and also appeared to have a strong educational system.
When I applied, I felt very nervous and careful. Starting in Korea, I plan to build my career, improve my English through consistent study, and then go abroad to Canada or the United States to gain experience and prove my work and skills through my own portfolio and results.
Kim Dal
“I want to grow together with my instructors and fellow students.”
I spent a great deal of time searching for a career that I could do both well and passionately, and this field is what I ultimately discovered. The SF Film School website was very well organized, allowing me to gain a general understanding of CG even though it was my first time learning about it. Because the website was managed so professionally, I also got the impression that the academy’s internal system would be highly organized and systematic.
The facilities felt fully equipped and professional, and the students’ skill levels appeared to be very high as well, which is what drew me to the school. My feelings when I applied and my feelings after being accepted are not very different. It feels as though a massive wave is coming straight toward me. It is overwhelming, but I do not want this to be a battle I face alone. I want to grow together with my instructors and fellow students.
Jung Hwa Kyoung
“I Will Approach My Studies with the Mindset of Starting Again from the Ground Up, Building My Skills Step by Step.”
I have always enjoyed watching movies, looking at artwork, and studying advertisements, which naturally led me to become interested in careers related to this field. Eventually, I realized that if I wanted to seriously pursue this path, I needed to stop delaying and begin searching for a professional academy before it became too late. That decision led me to visit SF Film School.
When I first explored the academy’s website, I was immediately impressed by the high quality of the student projects and portfolios. I also felt that the academy’s small class sizes and strong reputation as a leading institution gave it a sense of credibility and trustworthiness.
More than anything, the academy felt very solid and well-established. I appreciated that it did not seem like a place that simply teaches technical skills, but rather an institution that genuinely helps students turn their dreams into achievable goals.
After receiving counseling, I was even more impressed by how systematic and organized the educational structure was. I also appreciated the interview process because it felt like the academy was sincerely interested in understanding each student individually and carefully considering their mindset and potential.
When I was accepted, I felt both relieved and excited for the future. The interview process itself helped me organize my thoughts and clarify my mindset, which gave me a sense of comfort and reassurance. Most importantly, I felt relieved knowing that I would no longer be spending my time aimlessly, but instead moving toward a meaningful goal.
Going forward, I plan to approach my studies with the mindset of starting over from the very beginning and steadily building my abilities one step at a time. At SF Film School, I hope to slowly and thoroughly develop my foundational skills and knowledge from the ground up.
My goal is to first achieve employment in the industry and, in the long term, continue growing into a highly skilled professional equipped with strong technical expertise and practical abilities.
Cho Yoon Woo
"I want to keep practicing and learning so that I can reach the very top of this field."
I chose SF Film School because I felt that, given the high quality of its student portfolios and its position as one of the best institutions, it would be able to guide and support me all the way to the end. My first impression of the school was somewhat overwhelming, as if I were standing in front of something enormous.
I realized that the 3D work I had been doing until now was only the tip of the iceberg. However, through SF Film School, I hope not only to build a solid foundation and enter a CG company, but also to continue practicing and learning so that I can ultimately reach the very top of this field.
Hong Hee Chan
“I felt an even stronger sense of challenge and excitement.”
I first learned about Visual Graphics through internet research, and I chose it because I felt it would bring my imagination to life. I came across SF Film School through online searching and my father’s recommendation. As I walked through the hallway and saw the achievements of many people displayed there, I felt deeply inspired and overwhelmed.
Regarding the first and second interviews, I viewed them positively as they gave me an opportunity to reflect on myself once again. I want to create a fantasy-style portfolio based on the stories I have imagined in my mind. After being accepted, I felt an even stronger sense of challenge and excitement.
I do not know what I will experience at SF Film School in the future, but I want to learn how to break through my own limits and overcome the challenges that come my way.
Park Seung Woo
"I want to become a VFX designer and work in the industry."
I first became aware of the Visual Graphics field while watching films, and I was drawn to how it enhances the impact and power of 영상 (visual storytelling). This led me to want to learn the technology behind it. During filming, there are situations that cannot be captured directly, and I was fascinated by the techniques that can complement and complete those missing parts.
While watching the SF Film School YouTube channel, I saw high-quality portfolios, and after having a consultation with the academy, I started to strongly want to attend. My first impression was that it is a place where I can be well taught.
I want to become a VFX designer and work in the industry.
Ha Chae Eun
"I hope a good academic atmosphere is created."
Since my major is Digital Media Design, I naturally became aware of this field. I chose it because I believed that learning this area would broaden the range of opportunities available to me in the future. Among the Maya academies I researched, I chose this one because its website provided the most detailed and well-organized information.
I hope a good academic atmosphere is created. I want to create a portfolio that gives a cinematic feeling. I aim to maximize my skills and challenge myself to get a job in the industry.
Choi Yi Seol
"I am someone who never gives up when I have a clear goal"
Since I was young, watching movies and dramas has been one of my favorite hobbies. When I turned twenty and began thinking seriously about my future career and employment, I discovered the field of Visual Graphics.
I wanted to turn something I genuinely enjoyed into more than just a hobby and explore it as a profession. Of course, enjoying something does not automatically mean you will excel at it, but for someone like me who loves both computers and films, this is a career path I have always wanted to pursue.
I first learned about SF Film School through my parents' recommendation and by exploring the school's website. After seeing the work created by the students, I felt that this was a place where I could learn every aspect of the production process in depth and truly develop these skills into my own professional expertise.
What especially appealed to me was the small-class environment, where beginners like myself could learn with focused guidance and receive the attention needed to fully concentrate on our studies. This made me feel strongly that SF Film School was the right place for me. I also appreciated having access to dedicated practice spaces and the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with advanced equipment that is not easily available elsewhere.
I am very happy to have been accepted into the program. Moving forward, I hope to immerse myself in this field, continue learning, and develop a deep understanding of the industry.

Kim Do Ha
"I became determined not to miss this opportunity and to devote myself to it with sincerity and dedication."
While watching various advertisements, movies, and games, I became curious about how they were created rather than simply enjoying them as a viewer. As I attended an academy and learned about different programs and tools used in the industry, I was especially fascinated by 3D graphics after recently studying Cinema 4D. This experience led me to choose the field of visual graphics.
Furthermore, during the learning process, I discovered that I genuinely enjoyed overcoming difficult challenges instead of giving up when things became complicated. Realizing this about myself strengthened my decision to pursue a career in the visual graphics industry.
After receiving career counseling, I became convinced that I had to attend SF Film School. When I consulted with other academies, the counselors were not professionals in this field, so I was not even aware that the industry was divided into various specialties. At SF Film School, however, I received detailed explanations about each field, the software and programs required for them, and examples of portfolios from each area. This gave me a strong sense of professionalism and convinced me that it was the ideal institution to guide me toward my dream.
While preparing my application, I worried about what would happen if I was not accepted. Although I could study Maya and Nuke at other academies, I strongly felt that SF Film School was the right place for me, which made me feel especially desperate to succeed.
After being accepted, I realized that I had been given a valuable opportunity. I made a promise to myself that I would not let this opportunity pass by and that I would approach my studies with sincerity, diligence, and determination. I will continue to work hard so that, when I look back on this period in the future, I can remember it as one of the major turning points in my life.
Shin Min Yong
"I intend to see it through to the end, no matter how difficult or challenging it may be, now that I have been accepted."
I first became aware of the field of visual graphics while reading various articles about the CG work in the film Space Sweepers. As I looked further into the subject, I learned that visual graphics can be used to create a wide range of effects, characters, and environments that cannot be seen or experienced in reality. I found this very appealing, and it made me want to create such things myself.
When I first started looking for a CG academy, I researched many different schools. However, I chose SF Film School because the quality of the students’ portfolios was the highest among the schools I reviewed, and because its website, YouTube content, and overall presentation appeared the most professional.
My first impression of the school was that I was overwhelmed by the variety of works on display and the learning environment itself. At the same time, I felt a strong desire to become one of the people whose work would one day be showcased there.
I tend to think carefully before making decisions and do not make them easily. Because of that, I always try to take responsibility for the decisions I make and never give up on them. For this reason, I am determined to work hard and perform to the best of my ability.
Now that I have been accepted, I intend to see it through to the end, no matter how difficult or challenging the journey may be.
Since I am starting from zero, my biggest goal is to build a strong foundation from the basics and strive for the highest level of achievement rather than settling for mediocrity.
Yoo Do Yeon
"After completing my portfolio, I plan to get a job at a VFX company in Seoul."
I began thinking about what kind of work I truly wanted to do and what I was genuinely interested in. While creating a mind map, I realized that ever since I was young, I had always enjoyed drawing and watching videos, especially movies. As I was writing down my thoughts, I suddenly wondered, “What if I worked in a profession that creates visual content?”
From that point on, I started searching for topics related to video production, such as filmmaking techniques, CG, Marvel movies, and film-related majors. While searching, I came across advertisements for various academies, and the CG course in particular caught my attention. That was when I first began pursuing this field as a student.
I had previous experience studying CG at another academy during my senior year of high school. However, after entering university, I had to stop because the academy schedule no longer fit with my class timetable. As graduation approached, I started looking for an academy again. While researching, I felt that the portfolio quality of the students at my previous academy was different from what I had envisioned for myself, so I continued searching and eventually discovered SF Film School.
When I looked at portfolios from other academies, my reaction was often, “I think I could make something like that.” But when I saw the portfolios from SF Film School, my reaction was completely different: “I want to create work like this too!” That feeling left a strong impression on me.
I believe that while there is a great deal to learn from classes themselves, there is even more to gain through communication and collaboration with others. For that reason, I was particularly drawn to SF Film School’s approach, which feels more like a school community than a traditional academy. This learning environment was a major factor in my decision to enroll.
Rather than feeling afraid and wondering whether I would be capable of creating such work, I felt excited and eager to reach that level myself as soon as possible.
Using the design portfolio I developed during university, I plan to secure a position in the design field. While working, I will continue attending classes at SF Film School and complete my VFX portfolio. After finishing my portfolio, I intend to pursue employment at a VFX company in Seoul.
Answering these interview questions gave me an opportunity to revisit my dreams, organize my goals, and think carefully about the path I want to take. It was a valuable experience. Looking ahead, I am excited to continue learning, developing my skills, and growing my own unique abilities through dedication and hard work.
Lee Jin Young
“I often found myself wanting to show how much I was growing.”
While considering a different major, I remembered the 3D MAX program I had taken as a minor. Although I only learned the basics, I became interested in it, and seeing that interest in myself, I decided to take a gap year and began gathering information about the graphic design field and studying related programs. I started studying primarily After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop, and through this process I learned about the visual graphics field, which I chose as my future direction. As my career path gradually became clearer, my desire to learn more also grew, and I decided to pursue it not just as an interest but as my future profession. I re-enrolled in another school to continue my studies.
While studying Maya, I struggled with moving beyond the basics into more advanced applications. While searching for information, I came across the website of SF필름스쿨. I reviewed various materials such as instructors’ comments and students’ work, and I became convinced that it could help me solve the problems I was facing. From my first impression, I felt that SF Film School was “different.” I felt that it was a place that focuses deeply on students, allowing support beyond class hours and working in small groups with instructors and students to pursue shared goals, which felt different from typical academies.
Through the two-stage interview process, I was able to learn what it means to take learning seriously. I felt that it was not about studying casually, but about working together as a team, continuously moving forward, and not stopping at simply learning, but making it my own and growing myself. While answering various questions, I was also able to reflect on and strengthen my own determination.
When I received the acceptance email, I found myself strongly wanting to show how much I could grow over the next six months. I will do my best so that I do not negatively affect others in the same cohort, and I will not slack off. I will continue studying on my own beyond class hours, not limiting my learning to class time alone. I will also maintain an unselfish attitude—asking for help when needed, and helping others when asked—so that I can reach my goal of 3D animation.
Choi Eun Seo
“Being Accepted Motivated Me to Study Harder and Give My Absolute Best.”
These days, it is easy to find interviews and behind-the-scenes content on YouTube and in articles that explain the overall workflow of visual graphics and VFX production. Through watching these materials, my interest in the VFX field naturally grew stronger. I became especially fascinated by the process of expressing a story through visual effects and completing a piece of work collaboratively. Because of this, I developed a strong desire to study VFX seriously and become a professional in the field.
Once I decided to pursue VFX, I began researching various academies online in order to learn professional computer programs and receive help with creating a portfolio for employment. While comparing different institutions, I carefully looked into their curriculums, class environments, and educational systems.
When I first explored the website of SF Film School, I became curious because of its reputation as a leading institution in VFX education. I also thought it was a major advantage that the academy provided facilities such as editing rooms and motion capture studios, allowing students not only to learn software functions, but also to gain practical experience working with professional equipment.
In addition, I felt I could trust the education because the classes are taught by instructors with extensive industry experience. Most importantly, I believed that the seminars and feedback opportunities from overseas professionals were a unique strength of SF Film School that would be difficult to experience elsewhere.
After attending the first in-person consultation, I became even more certain that I truly wanted to study there. The academy’s teaching direction—covering all areas comprehensively while strengthening students’ fundamentals step by step—perfectly matched the kind of education I was looking for.
I was especially motivated after hearing that the impressive student portfolios displayed on the website had all been created by students who originally started from the basics. That explanation strengthened both my confidence in the program and my motivation to work hard.
The facilities I toured after the consultation were even better than I expected, and they gave me the impression that the academy genuinely provides one of the best educational environments possible. At that moment, I strongly felt that I wanted to study there.
Being accepted into the program made me extremely happy, and at the same time, it motivated me to work even harder and fully dedicate myself to studying.
While attending SF Film School, I want to continue learning consistently with responsibility and humility. Rather than rushing, I hope to build a strong foundation from the basics, steadily improve my abilities, and prepare myself thoroughly so that I can eventually pursue employment opportunities overseas as well.
Min Ji Hong
“Learning tools and studying to clarify my direction while working diligently.”
I tried self-studying Maya through YouTube for a certain period to first experience whether I could adapt well to 3D graphic tools and gradually develop interest in them. As I became more familiar, I found myself increasingly interested. This led me to explore portfolios in this field further, and I decided to pursue the graphic field.
I had only heard about attending 3D academies from friends, but when I decided to go myself, I researched several schools online. After consulting with SF Film School, I felt that I could steadily and properly learn here. When I first visited the school, I felt it was truly a space related to film. It had a specialized and professional atmosphere, yet also felt very enthusiastic and immersive.
In the future, I want to join a company in the 3D field and build my career. Since I have not yet decided exactly which company I want to work for or what kind of work I want to do, my plan is to learn the tools, study diligently, and clarify my direction along the way.
Goo Yeon Hyo
"I am interested in working in the field of developing virtual environment applications such as the metaverse and VR/AR."
After seeing the release of Apple Vision Pro, I began to think that technologies such as 3D modeling would become increasingly important, and this led me to become interested in the field of visual graphics as part of a career transition (or extension).
I learned about SF Film School through an internet search, and I chose it because it offers class schedules that working professionals can attend.
I want to work in the field of developing virtual environment applications such as the metaverse and VR/AR.
Jeong Seung Yeon
“I believe I need to work hard to establish a clear goal for my future.”
My interest in the Visual Graphics field began with my love for animation when I was young. As I continued my studies and learned 3D graphics at university, I naturally became more familiar with the industry and developed a deeper interest in it.
While attending university, I spent a lot of time trying to figure out my strengths and career direction. Looking back, I realized that I had never truly completed a project that represented my abilities to the fullest. Because of that, I wanted to build a strong portfolio through a more structured and professional learning environment, which led me to search for a specialized academy.
I chose SF Film School because it seemed like a place where I could learn hard-surface modeling and detailed production techniques in a thorough and systematic way. More importantly, I wanted to discover my own strengths as an artist while studying there.
I appreciated the interview process as well. During the first interview, I was able to learn about the overall structure of the program and how the classes are conducted. During the second interview, I had the opportunity to reflect on and share my personal thoughts, goals, and aspirations that I had not fully expressed during the first meeting. I found this process very helpful and meaningful.
My goal while studying at the academy is to strengthen the areas where I am lacking, build a solid foundation, and successfully prepare a professional portfolio. I am particularly interested in creating hard-surface assets such as armor and mechanical designs, as well as creatures like dragons and other fantasy-based characters.
I believe that working hard now is essential to establishing a clear vision for my future. I want to make the most of this opportunity, learn as much as possible, and continue growing both as an artist and as a professional.
I am committed to giving my best effort and making the most of everything I can learn throughout this journey.
