Each story reflects the determination, creativity, and global ambition that define the spirit of SF Film School students.
Kim Hye Ju
"I hope that attending this academy will help me grow into a better version of myself."
My current job is stable and likely to be secure in the future, but I felt that I was doing it not because I truly enjoyed it, but simply because it was the only thing I had learned so far. For that reason, I wanted to challenge myself in a new field.
I first became aware of this path while using ZEPETO. As I observed how products were sold and how content was created, I followed the algorithm and naturally became interested in the field of visual graphics.
While looking into several academies, I was first drawn to the cohort-based system, and the availability of night classes also influenced my decision.
I hope that attending this academy will help me grow into a better version of myself.
Cho Eun Bin
“I hope I can maintain this excitement until the end, and I will study hard, improve my skills, and build bigger dreams.”
Because I have always been interested in idols and films, I often watched music videos and movies. I would watch the same ones repeatedly, and sometimes look for new ones to watch. Over time, my curiosity gradually grew. I began to wonder, “What do I need to learn to create something like this? Do I need to be good at art for it to be possible?” and eventually, it developed into the thought, “I want to try it myself.” It took quite a long time to reach that point.
Then, I decided that I was wasting time just thinking and that I should try it if I really wanted to, so I started looking for an academy. That’s how I came across SF Film School. After looking at the work created by others on the academy’s website, I searched for other places as well, but none of them felt satisfying, so I ended up choosing SF Film School.
When I first went for a consultation, it felt like a place that was far beyond my level, and I even wondered, “Is it really okay for me to be here?” After the consultation, I received an email, honestly wrote my application, and waited—and then I received an acceptance email. Even now, it still doesn’t fully feel real, but as the opening day approaches, I feel both excited and a little nervous when I think about studying with new instructors and new classmates in a new environment.
I hope I can keep this excitement until the very end. I will study hard, improve my skills, and gradually build bigger dreams so that I can step into a wider world, do the work I truly want to do, and deliver the message I want to share with the world.
Cho Su Bin
“There Is Still Much More I Don’t Know Than What I Do Know, So I Will Continue Learning and Filling in Those Gaps.”
My younger sibling majored in the field of visual graphics, and I naturally became interested in the field while watching them work on various projects. At first, I would ask questions whenever I became curious about something, but I eventually realized there was a limit to how much information I could learn that way. Because of that, I began searching for tutorials and information on YouTube and gradually explored the field more seriously on my own.
Since this was the first field that genuinely made me think, “I really want to try this,” I decided that if I was going to pursue it, I wanted to learn it properly and challenge myself to change my career path through it.
I chose SF Film School because I was looking for a place where I could do more than simply watch online lectures. I wanted to study in an offline environment where I could attend in-person classes and learn under the direct guidance and management of experienced instructors.
Although I have only completed the consultation process so far, the academy explained many of the things I had always been curious about, including the future curriculum and educational process, in a very clear and detailed way. Because of that, I began to feel hopeful that if I studied sincerely and worked hard, I might eventually become capable of standing on my own professionally by the end of the program.
I also felt that the interview process itself was designed to help students make careful and thoughtful decisions about their future, which left a positive impression on me.
I am especially interested in VFX environments and background work. Although my goals are still somewhat broad, I hope to someday create a portfolio that inspires others in the same way I was inspired when I first saw someone else’s work and thought, “I want to create backgrounds like that too.”
At the moment, there are still far more things I do not know than things I do know, so rather than rushing to create a perfect plan immediately, I want to continue learning step by step and build my path as I grow.
I am grateful to have been accepted. Since I am not originally from this major, I know I may fall behind at times, but I will work hard to keep up and continue improving. Thank you, and I look forward to learning here.
Park Jun Sung
“I Am Determined to Keep Moving Forward Consistently Until the Day I Complete My Portfolio and Find Employment.”
Since I was young, I have always enjoyed photography and video production. While editing the footage I captured, I naturally began learning various programs starting with Adobe Photoshop, and through that process, I gradually found myself drawn toward the visual graphics field.
There were very few places where I could properly learn Houdini, and among them, SF Film School was the only academy in the country that I felt consistently demonstrated a high level of quality in FX portfolios. That was the biggest reason I chose to pursue my studies there.
Going forward, I plan to manage my energy and pace carefully so that I can continue moving steadily toward my goal without burning out. I am fully determined to keep working consistently until the day I complete my portfolio and successfully gain employment.
For my portfolio projects, I want to create works that feel bright, clean, and sophisticated. At the same time, I hope to realistically portray elements of nature and develop visuals that feel immersive and believable.
As I continue building my skills and experience, I also hope to eventually prepare for opportunities to work overseas in the future.
Jung Jae Han
“I Will Work Extremely Hard While Studying at the Academy and Also Try to Learn English.”
Last year, while visiting Jeju Island for vacation, I became deeply interested in media art exhibitions such as The Bunker and WAVE by d'strict. I have always enjoyed watching high-quality visual content, so I frequently searched for impressive videos online, and during that process I learned how important effects created with Houdini are within the VFX industry.
As I researched various websites, tutoring programs, and academies related to VFX and Houdini, I eventually discovered SF Film School. During the consultation, I felt that compared to other academies, SF Film School showed a much stronger sense of confidence and pride in its education system, which made the academy feel more trustworthy and responsible.
Going forward, I plan to put in tremendous effort while studying at the academy, and I also want to begin learning English so that I can continue expanding my opportunities and prepare myself more thoroughly for the future.
Hong Ju Won
“I Trusted SF Film School Because It Felt Like the Best Among All the Schools and Academies I Researched.”
My first dream began in high school, when I wanted to become a game concept artist. I attended an academy and later entered a Digital Contents department at university, where I was first introduced to 3D programs, VFX, and CG. Through those experiences, I eventually chose to focus on video animation as my field of study.
Before applying to any academy, I usually spend a lot of time reviewing student portfolios on their websites. Among all the schools and academies I researched, the quality of the student work at SF Film School stood out the most to me. Compared to other institutions, the projects felt exceptionally polished and professional, which gave me a strong sense of trust in the academy.
I was also impressed by the many awards and trophies displayed within the academy, which further reinforced the feeling that SF Film School was a highly respected and accomplished institution.
Although I have not yet decided on a specific specialization within the field, my current goal is to work for a game company in the future. More than anything, I am excited to someday meet a much more skilled and improved version of myself through this learning process.

“I want to learn about the software in detail from the very beginning.”
I usually play a lot of video games, and I learned about the Visual Graphics field through a recommendation from one of my parents’ acquaintances. I have tried art and various other things before, but I felt that this field suited my personality the best, so I decided to choose it.
SF Film School is a specialized academy, and my first impression was that it was a very trustworthy place.
I want to learn about the software in detail from the very beginning. I am interested in getting a job at a game company or on a film CG team.
Yeo Gi Seong
“I want to successfully complete the program and maximize my understanding of industry tools.”
I was first introduced to VFX while studying in the Department of Broadcasting and Video Production. Although I did not have the opportunity to work on VFX projects directly at the time, I became interested in the field through my studies.
Later, I worked as part of a lighting crew on several television drama productions over the course of nearly two years. Having participated in three to four productions, I became increasingly interested in the visual effects side of the industry. This curiosity led me to research VFX on my own, watch tutorials and behind-the-scenes content, and eventually develop a strong desire to create visual effects myself.
I learned about SF Film School through online searches and recommendations from people around me. After reading reviews and seeing the portfolios created by its students, I became even more convinced that it was the right place for me.
My first impression of SF Film School was that it offers much more than technical training. It felt like a place that helps students grow into industry professionals. The availability of multiple training rooms and the system of receiving guidance from specialized instructors were particularly appealing to me.
I am very excited to begin learning and developing my skills as soon as possible.
My primary goal is to successfully complete the program and gain the deepest possible understanding of the software and tools used in the industry. By doing so, I hope to build a strong portfolio that showcases my abilities and, if given the opportunity, pursue employment opportunities overseas in the future.
I look forward to challenging myself, continuing to grow, and taking the next step toward a professional career in VFX.
Choi Hye Ryeong
"Goal: To work at a Film/Drama VFX studio"
While working in the art department for dramas and music videos, I often overheard conversations between the CG Supervisor and the director regarding post-production. Listening to their discussions about how certain scenes would be realized sparked my curiosity and excitement. Every time I saw the final result enhanced through VFX, I developed a growing admiration for the role of a CG Supervisor.
Around the same time, I heard from industry professionals that Virtual Production would soon become more widely adopted within the film industry. As the entertainment industry continues to evolve rapidly alongside technological advancements, I felt it was important for me to embrace a new challenge as well. This led me to pursue the field of Visual Graphics.
I first learned about SF Film School through an acquaintance. Later, while researching online, I came across the school's student portfolios and was impressed by the quality of the work, which motivated me to schedule a consultation. During the initial consultation, I gained a much deeper understanding of the 3D visual graphics field, which had previously been unfamiliar to me. I also developed trust in SF Film School because of its selective admission process.
For my portfolio, I plan to focus on compositing work that highlights both environment modeling and compositing skills. Rather than creating fantasy-based scenes, I would like to emphasize realistic environments with a strong sense of authenticity and accurate visual detail.
Just as the high-quality portfolios of SF Film School graduates greatly influenced my decision to apply, I will do my best to produce work of a similarly high standard. My ultimate goal is to secure a position at a film or drama VFX studio. While studying in the Visual Graphics program, I hope to explore different specialties within the field and determine where I can develop the strongest expertise. If the opportunity arises, I would also like to pursue employment opportunities overseas.
Choi Jae Won
“I Felt That SF Film School Had an Excellent Learning Environment.”
I originally work in the field of 2D motion graphics, but as I continued working, I became increasingly interested in the broader world of video production and visual design. Over time, I realized that rather than focusing only on stylized design elements, I was more drawn to creating realistic and immersive visuals. Because of that, I naturally became interested in the VFX field.
As my interest grew, I also became increasingly curious about learning Houdini, which further strengthened my passion for this area of work.
When I visited SF Film School, I was especially impressed by the academy’s internal environment and overall atmosphere. The facilities and system gave me a strong sense of professionalism, which made me feel even more confident about learning there.
My goal is to learn Houdini thoroughly and eventually work in a field where I can actively use it as part of professional VFX production.
When I first applied, I mainly felt curiosity and excitement. Now, as an accepted student, I feel very relieved and grateful for the opportunity. At the same time, I strongly believe that from this point forward, I must continue working hard without giving up and fully commit myself to improving my skills and growing within the industry.
Lee Seung Ah
“I want to complete my 3D studies successfully and achieve employment.”
I have often encountered visual graphics, whether in Pixar films, digital advertisements in Gangnam Station, or Gentle Monster commercials, and I used to just think they looked cool. However, as the metaverse has become more important, I wanted to work in this field myself, which led me to choose the Visual Graphics field.
From last year until May of this year, I studied at another academy for over a year, but I realized that my skills were not yet sufficient for employment. I felt that after spending that time, I needed to attend an academy with a more structured curriculum. This is why I chose SF Film School, which is the most renowned for 3D, CG, and VFX.
When I first visited the school, I was impressed by the large building and the separated spaces on each floor, which gave it a clearly professional atmosphere compared to other academies. The director who provided the consultation also explained everything in detail, which gave me confidence. I want to complete my 3D studies successfully and achieve employment.
Lee Su Min
"I will continue to maintain a learning mindset and strive to become a better version of myself."
I first became aware of the Visual Graphics field through various films, dramas, and games I enjoyed in my childhood, where I learned that the field of graphics exists. I became seriously interested in it during high school, when I began researching various graphics and the production process behind them. From that point on, I started to think, “I wish I could be part of this process and see my name in the ending credits.”
I began searching more casually online and discovered SF Film School. I also decided to apply after watching portfolio videos on YouTube. After consulting with SF Film School and other academies and carefully considering my options, I chose SF Film School because it seemed more professional than the others.
First, it has dedicated practice rooms, which I found very appealing because it allows students to gain hands-on experience after learning. Second, it offers small-class education. I believe that when classes are too large, it becomes more difficult to develop true expertise.
My first impression of the school was full of interesting visual elements. From the mannequins visible on the first floor to the information displayed along the walls, everything gave me a strong sense of trust. During the consultation, the staff explained my questions clearly and in an easy-to-understand way, which made me feel very comfortable and reassured.
While writing the second interview, I had the opportunity to reflect on myself and reconsider whether this is something I truly want to pursue and what my mindset should be. Through both the first and second interviews, I came to realize that I genuinely want to do this work, which led me to develop a strong and positive determination to achieve it.
When I received the acceptance email, I felt very happy. It felt like taking my first step forward. I will continue to maintain a learning mindset and strive to become a better version of myself.
Jung Hwa Gyeong
"I will approach my studies with the mindset of starting from the ground up, building my skills step by step."
I have always enjoyed watching movies, appreciating artwork, and observing advertisements. Because of these interests, I became curious about careers in the creative industry and began researching them more seriously. As I thought about my future, I realized that I should start learning and preparing as soon as possible rather than waiting any longer. This led me to visit SF Film School.
My first impression of SF Film School came through its website. I was immediately impressed by the high quality of the students' work and projects. The small class sizes and the school's reputation as a world-leading institution made me feel that it was a place I could trust. The school appeared well-established, professional, and committed to helping students succeed. What impressed me most was the idea that SF Film School is not simply a place to learn technical skills, but a place where students can turn their dreams into reality.
After attending a consultation, I was even more impressed by the school's structured curriculum and systematic approach to education. I also appreciated how the interview process demonstrated genuine interest in each student. It made me feel that the school truly cares about the growth and potential of its students.
When I received my acceptance, I felt both relieved and excited. The interview process helped me organize my thoughts and strengthen my determination for the future. It gave me a sense of direction and reassurance that I would not simply spend my time aimlessly, but instead work toward meaningful goals.
As I begin my studies, I will approach every class with the mindset of starting from the ground up and steadily building my skills and knowledge step by step. My goal is to develop a strong foundation in both technical skills and industry knowledge at SF Film School, secure employment in the field, and eventually become a highly skilled professional with advanced expertise and experience in my chosen discipline.

I became interested in video editing in middle school, and after discovering that it suited my aptitude, I decided to pursue the field of Visual Graphics. I chose SF Film School because its curriculum was well-organized and clearly presented, and because the students’ portfolios were far superior to those of other academies. When I visited the school in person, I also felt that the facilities were excellent.
At first, I was unsure if I would be accepted, but I am glad that I was. I will seek out and learn even what is not formally taught.

It gave me confidence that if I work hard throughout the program, I could become a capable professional by the time I graduate.
I also appreciated the interview process, as it seemed designed to help applicants make thoughtful and well-informed decisions about their future.
I am particularly interested in VFX, especially environment and background creation. While my goals are still taking shape, I hope to create a portfolio that inspires others the same way I was inspired when I first saw other artists’ work and thought, “I would love to create backgrounds like that someday.”
At this stage, there is still much more that I do not know than what I do know. Rather than rushing to define every detail of my future plans, I want to continue learning, gaining experience, and filling those gaps along the way.
I am grateful to have been accepted into the program. Since I do not come from a related academic background, I know I may have a lot of catching up to do. Nevertheless, I am committed to working hard, keeping pace with my classmates, and making the most of this opportunity.

Kim Ho Jin
“It Seemed Like the Perfect Place Not Only for Learning, but Also for Preparing for Future Employment.”
I first became interested in the field of VFX through the recommendation of my older sister, who majored in film studies. As I learned more about the industry, I felt that it suited both my interests and aptitude very well, which naturally led me to choose this field as my future career path.
Among the academies I researched, SF Film School stood out because its education was strongly focused on learning professional 3D software such as Autodesk Maya. More importantly, it did not feel like a place meant only for casual hobbies or short-term learning. Instead, it appeared to be an institution specifically designed to help students build practical skills and prepare seriously for future employment in the industry.
Because I can speak both French and English, I am currently considering pursuing overseas employment opportunities in Canada in the future. My goal is to build a strong portfolio through the academy’s training and use it as a foundation to challenge myself internationally and grow further within the VFX industry.
Lim Seong Hun
“I am to study abroad and expand my career overseas.”
Every time I watched CG videos with unique and imaginative character movements or ones that looked close to live-action, I felt immersed and wondered how such videos were created. While browsing YouTube, I learned that various programs were used, which made me want to study these programs myself. I want to create natural movements for the original characters that appear in fantasy works.
I chose SF Film School because it allows students to learn systematically from the basics to professional-level work and to complete a high-quality portfolio. Additionally, after seeing the works of graduates on the SF Film School website and YouTube, I felt inspired and wanted to create works like theirs.
After the consultation, I was very impressed by the facilities introduced by the director of the school. My first impression upon visiting SF Film School in person matched the expectations I had from the website and YouTube. I will dedicate myself to completing the SF Film School program. In the future, I aim to study abroad and expand my career overseas, and I also plan to study the necessary languages to prepare for life abroad.
Jeong Da Hye
“I want to study hard and get a job at a company where I can grow.”
While considering a career change, I wanted to try work that would give me a sense of accomplishment. Since I have always liked animation, I wondered if there was a way to work in this field and gathered information through internet and YouTube searches. I was attracted to the Visual Graphics field because it produces tangible results when you work. That is why I want to take on the challenge.
There were no CG-focused academies in Daegu, but SF Film School opened a branch there, and my first impression was that it felt very professional. I want to study hard and get a job at a company where I can grow.
Park Sun Mi
“My Goal Is to Build a Portfolio, Successfully Find Employment in the Industry, and Continue Growing Professionally.”
I became interested in 3D modeling through watching animations and films in my daily life. In addition, I know someone who found employment at a game company as an environment designer using Unreal Engine. Seeing that person’s journey showed me that even someone without a related major could learn these programs and connect those skills to a professional career, which inspired me to challenge myself as well.
I chose SF Film School after seeing the highly polished portfolios created by graduates and the many success stories of overseas employment. These experiences gave me the impression that the academy genuinely teaches students practical, industry-level skills that can lead directly to employment opportunities.
I was also impressed by the academy’s small class system, where instructors closely guide around ten students at a time. That environment felt supportive and structured, almost like a close-knit school community where students and instructors can actively communicate and grow together.
My goal is to learn how to use professional tools alongside my classmates and instructors, create a strong portfolio through the program, and ultimately succeed in finding employment within a related industry.
In particular, I hope to work at a game company in the future and continue developing my skills within the field.
Lim Ji Soo
“I want to create videos where realistically produced game characters move.”
Before and after the consultation, I had a chance to look around the academy. Most students were working on computers, so the overall atmosphere of the academy was very quiet. In the portfolio room, students were gathered together discussing and working collaboratively.
I already knew from my research that the academy provides high-quality education, but the facilities were much better than I had expected. I came to believe that if I study hard and keep up with the classes, it would be very helpful for my employment prospects.
I want to create videos where game characters that are produced in a very realistic way are able to move. I would also like to learn motion capture technology in detail.
