“I will pour my passion into it, as I need to dedicate my time and effort going forward.”

I became interested in virtual idols, and my interest grew into a desire to actually create them. Usually, my curiosity would stop at simply finding something fun, but this time I wanted to be directly involved. I wondered whether this feeling was because I am not fully satisfied with my current work or because I genuinely enjoy it, and eventually, I made up my mind that I had to pursue it.
Knowing that the entire building is dedicated to the academy made me feel a bit overwhelmed by the professional atmosphere, but I thought that this tension might help me stay focused and prevent me from becoming too relaxed. The first and second interview formats were unfamiliar at first, but they helped me gather my thoughts and stay determined. I am excited to learn something new, and I will pour my passion into it, as I need to dedicate my time and effort going forward.

“If I Am Going to Learn Something for the First Time, I Believe I Should Learn It Properly — Not Just for Employment, but to Truly Master the Skills.”

I previously worked using SketchUp for comic and illustration backgrounds, and during that time I happened to experiment with 3D modeling as well. While working on those projects, I discovered that I genuinely enjoyed carefully building models and making them look as realistic as possible.

I also realized that spending long hours concentrating on 3D software suited my personality and working style very well. Because of this, I began researching career paths related to 3D graphics and eventually learned about academies that specialize in teaching VFX and visual graphics.

Among the many institutions I looked into, the portfolio quality of SF Film School stood out significantly. In addition, during the counseling process, I felt that the school’s curriculum was not focused solely on helping students find employment, but also on helping them continuously grow and strengthen their skills even after entering the industry. That aspect left a particularly strong impression on me and became one of the biggest reasons I chose SF Film School.

Because I believe that if I am going to learn something for the first time, I should learn it properly and thoroughly, I intend to approach this opportunity not simply with the goal of getting a job, but with the mindset of truly mastering the skills and techniques of the field.

“I Started Later Than Others, So I Will Work Even Harder to Catch Up.”

While watching animated films such as Frozen and other The Walt Disney Company productions, I often wondered how such incredible visuals were created. After watching behind-the-scenes documentaries, I became introduced to the field of visual graphics and VFX. At first, it was only a vague dream that I might want to try this field someday, but when the opportunity finally came, I decided that I wanted to learn it seriously and properly.

“I Wanted to Study at SF Film School Because the Quality of the Portfolios Felt Completely Different.”

While thinking seriously about my future career path, I became interested in computer graphics through movies, advertisements, and games. Through various forms of media, I gradually developed a strong fascination with visual design and realized that I genuinely enjoy creating new things. Because of this, I decided to pursue the field of visual graphics.

While searching for academies where I could learn Autodesk Maya, I consulted with several different institutions. Among them, SF Film School stood out the most to me because it felt the most professional, systematic, and unique in terms of its curriculum and educational direction.

When I visited the academy in person, I found that the working environment and facilities were even better than I had expected. Unlike some other places, it did not feel overly commercial, and the atmosphere felt much more focused on genuine education and growth.

Most importantly, the quality of the student portfolios at SF Film School felt completely different from what I had seen elsewhere. The projects looked highly polished and professional, which made me strongly feel that this was the place where I truly wanted to study.

My goal is to learn both Autodesk Maya and Nuke thoroughly, create a strong portfolio, and pursue employment in the VFX and CG industry.

If I am given the opportunity, I will dedicate myself fully to learning with passion and determination so that I can continue growing into a professional specializing in Maya and Nuke in the future.

“I will approach this new challenge with passion.”

When watching films, I was always captivated by their stunning visual beauty. Over time, I began to wonder how such realistic and spectacular visuals were created, which naturally led me to become interested in the field of Visual Graphics.
When I visited the SF Film School website, I felt that it was a professional and well-structured academy. While writing the interview responses, I had the opportunity to organize my thoughts about my future career goals, and I found this to be a very beneficial process from a student’s perspective. I will approach this new challenge with passion.

"The first step toward employment and becoming a professional"

During my job-search period, I found myself reconsidering the kind of work I truly wanted to pursue, which led me to revisit my interest in post-production and CG. If I am going to build a career in the film and media industry, particularly in post-production, I want to work in a field where I can be recognized for my expertise and, at the same time, learn the professional skills necessary to bring my imagination to life—something I have always wanted to do.
I chose SF Film School because I saw great potential in the high-quality portfolios created by its students. In addition, the school appeared to offer more than simply software training; it seemed to have a structured educational system that truly embodies the concept of a school.
While studying at SF Film School, I expect to focus heavily on learning and mastering technical skills. Once I reach a level where I can confidently create and develop my own work, I would like to build a near-future environment that combines elements of an apocalypse with modern society. Whether that environment involves robots, plants, or other concepts, I would like to explore those details as I continue learning and developing my skills.
At present, I am particularly interested in environmental design, which involves creating and shaping spaces, and I am also very interested in rendering and lighting. Through consistent study and dedication over the coming years, I hope this journey will become the first step not only toward employment but also toward becoming a true professional in the field. I look forward to the day when I can proudly say that my professional journey began at SF Film School.
If I am able to secure employment in Korea, I plan to gain practical experience and further develop my language skills before eventually pursuing career opportunities overseas.

“I want to invest more time and effort to gain expertise in this field.”

I have always been interested in careers related to directing. While exploring different professions from my previous interests, I came across the field of Visual Graphics through internet research. While looking for academies specializing in VFX, I discovered SF Film School online. After seeing the portfolios of other students on the website, I was impressed by their professionalism and decided to choose SF Film School.
Hearing explanations that made it easy for someone like me, with no prior knowledge or experience, to understand increased my trust in the academy. It also sparked a desire in me to improve further. Since this is a field I am learning for the first time, I want to invest more time and effort to gain expertise. I hope to direct videos that express and portray characters.

“I Will Continue Learning with Strong Passion and Dedication.”

While studying in my major, I gradually realized that the field was not the right fit for my aptitude. As graduation approached, I began seriously thinking about pursuing a different direction and studying 3D graphics instead.

While researching and exploring various options, I discovered SF Film School. After watching the students’ portfolio videos, I was genuinely shocked by the exceptionally high quality of the work, which immediately drew my attention and interest. As I looked into the academy more deeply, I became increasingly convinced that it was a place where I truly wanted to study.

After reviewing the curriculum, facilities, and various information provided on the website, I ultimately decided to choose SF Film School.

I also believe that the academy’s first and second interview process is very effective. Through the counseling sessions, instead of feeling anxious about changing directions, I began to feel excited about the opportunity to learn something entirely new. It felt like I had been given a meaningful chance to challenge myself and grow.

Because this is both a field I genuinely enjoy and one that I have always been curious about, I feel extremely excited to continue discovering and learning more about it. When I first started preparing for university entrance exams, going to an art academy felt almost like entering Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and stepping into a place like Hogwarts. Now, I feel a similar sense of excitement and anticipation once again.

Going forward, I will study with very strong passion and dedication.

For my portfolio, I want to create work that immediately captures the attention of viewers and leaves a strong and memorable impression the moment they see it.

“I May Still Have a Lot to Learn, but I Will Continue Working Hard and Do My Best to Keep Improving.”

When I was in middle school, I spent a lot of time playing and enjoying games. As I became more interested in them, I started wondering what it would be like to personally create and work on the artistic elements within games, such as animation, effects, and modeling. Among those areas, animation especially captured my interest, which eventually led me to pursue the field of visual graphics.

I first learned about SF Film School through a recommendation from someone around me. After visiting the website and viewing the students’ portfolios, I felt that the academy genuinely cared about its students and their growth, which made me want to apply for a consultation.

After the consultation, my first impression was that the academy suited me very well. Rather than simply explaining things verbally, they showed actual examples and demonstrated the educational process directly, which made me trust the academy even more.

Although I still feel that I have many shortcomings and much more to learn, I will continue working hard, improving step by step, and doing my best to keep up and grow within this field.

“I Plan to Participate in Graphic Design Awards to Gain Experience and Aim for Recognition.”

I first became interested in the graphics field after visiting the Craft Trend Fair, where I encountered a booth introducing exhibitions through the metaverse. The experience gave me a completely new perspective and left a strong impression on me.

As I continued researching the field afterward, I discovered that the cinematic videos created by Blizzard Entertainment—which I had always admired—were produced using graphic design and software such as Autodesk Maya. Realizing that I could one day create and tell my own stories through graphics made me even more fascinated by the field. I was especially drawn to the idea that imagination could become reality through visual graphics and digital creation.

While searching through YouTube and Naver, I eventually found SF Film School. Among all the portfolios I reviewed, the quality of the students’ work stood out the most to me. From the homepage itself, I could feel the school’s confidence and pride in its education system, and the student reviews and employment success stories gave me a strong sense of trust, which led me to apply for counseling and visit the academy in person.

At the time I applied, I thought that attending the academy would help motivate me and push me to work harder. After being accepted, I became even more curious about how various programs and rendering techniques were actually used, which naturally made me visit the school’s website more frequently to learn more.

My current goal is to keep up with the classes as best as I can and steadily improve my skills. In the future, I also hope to participate in graphic design awards and competitions in order to gain valuable experience and challenge myself toward earning recognition and awards.

“I Want to Build Strong Fundamentals at SF Film School and Continue Developing My Skills There.”

While working on video projects in my department, I became interested in 3D motion graphics around 2022. At the same time, I began to feel frustrated with the uncertainty and abstract nature of fine art, where the direction of the work often felt vague. Because of that, I started wanting to become an artist with practical skills that could be applied directly in real production environments.

From the moment I became interested in 3D graphics, I admired the portfolios created by the students of SF Film School because the results looked incredibly polished and professional. Those projects became something I truly looked up to.

More than anything, I felt that SF Film School would allow me to build strong overall fundamentals in 3D graphics from the ground up, which is why I strongly want to continue developing my skills there.

Going forward, I will work hard to keep up with the classes, steadily improve my abilities, and do my best to create strong portfolios and high-quality final projects through consistent effort and dedication.

“I felt that SF Film School was the right place for the career path I want to pursue.”

I was first introduced to the Visual Graphics field through an acquaintance who works in the industry. By observing their work and listening to their experiences, I became interested in the field and gradually learned more about what professionals in the industry do.
As time passed, I realized that this was the path I wanted to pursue, and I eventually made the decision to leave my original career plans behind and focus on building a future in the 3D graphics industry.
While researching programs to prepare for a career in 3D-related fields, I came across SF Film School. What stood out to me was its professional approach to education and its strong alignment with the career direction I hope to pursue. I also felt confident that the instructors would be able to provide the guidance and training needed to help students develop their skills effectively.
Although my long-term career path is not yet completely defined, I am interested in gaining professional experience in either the VFX or game industry. After building a solid foundation and developing sufficient industry experience, I would eventually like to start and operate my own business.
For now, my focus is on learning as much as possible, developing my technical skills, and making the most of every opportunity provided through the program. I am committed to working hard throughout the course and continuing to grow both professionally and personally.
Thank you, and I look forward to learning from everyone at SF Film School.

"Because this is a precious opportunity, I will devote myself wholeheartedly to learning, mastering my skills, and ultimately achieving employment overseas."

This is a field that has interested me personally since childhood, and it is also closely related to my current work. I am currently leading a platform development business at a company that develops apparel production software based on 3D graphics and simulation technology. With 12 years of relevant professional experience, I have a clear vision for the future of this industry.

“I Want to Fill in My Weaknesses and Build My Career Direction While Studying at SF Film School.”

Because I have always enjoyed movies, I naturally became interested in CG effects and eventually decided to major in film and video production at university. During my first year, I had a conversation with one of my professors, and through that discussion, I was introduced to the field of VFX. That experience helped me begin establishing a clearer direction for my future career path.

I first learned about SF Film School through a friend who is currently attending the academy. As I looked into the program, I felt that the curriculum was highly systematic and well organized. I was also especially impressed by the quality of the student portfolios displayed on the website, which seemed far more advanced and polished compared to those from other academies.

During my leave of absence from university, I hope to study at SF Film School to strengthen the areas where I am lacking, continue learning new skills, and develop a clearer and more concrete plan for my future career.

In the long term, I want to develop my own unique artistic and production style and achieve meaningful success in the VFX industry within the next ten years. I also hope to continuously learn new technologies and follow evolving trends so that I can contribute to the growth of Korea’s film and visual media culture while helping share it with audiences around the world.

“Competitiveness was an important factor for me, and in that regard, I felt this was an excellent choice.”

After seeing the works of SF Film School students on YouTube and researching the school, I was impressed by several aspects: their strong encouragement for overseas employment, exposure to various competitions, the close relationships between students and instructors, and the highly detailed explanations about motion graphics available on their website. These gave me the impression that the school teaches in a very professional manner.
I felt that even if I continued at the academy I had been attending, there was little to look forward to, so I decided to move to a place better suited to me and start fresh with the same mindset I had at the beginning.
Since I was preparing to move overseas, competitiveness in the international market was a crucial factor for me. In that regard, I felt SF Film School was an excellent choice, which led me to decide on my career path. I want to use the portfolio I create in Korea to seek employment in the United States.

“Writing the interview questionnaire gave me an opportunity to reflect on and better define myself.”

I majored in Video Design. However, after graduating, I was not sure which field I wanted to work in, so I joined a general company where I could get a job in video editing right away.
While working there, I often came across media art projects as editing references. Seeing those works made me want to create something like that myself. That is why I chose to study Visual Graphics. I wanted to learn more about the field and feel that I had grown technically and professionally.
I found this VFX academy in Busan through an internet search. After looking through the website and portfolios, I felt that it was not a place that simply teaches software tools, but a place that could help each student achieve the quality level they personally want. That was one of the reasons I decided to apply.
During the consultation, I asked many questions about various things, and they kindly explained everything, which made me feel comfortable and confident. I also liked the fact that classes are conducted with a small number of students in each intake. I felt that this would allow instructors to pay more attention to each student. In addition, the quality of the portfolios was better than those from other academies, which made me excited to see how the classes would be conducted.
While going through the first and second interviews, I felt that the school was not simply trying to recruit students, but was genuinely looking for people who have the willingness and determination to learn.
The consultation and the process of writing the interview questionnaire gave me an opportunity to think about myself once again and better define who I am, which I appreciated.
Rather than doing something that anyone can do, I want to find something that I can do exceptionally well. My goal is to create a strong portfolio, complete the Maya and Nuke program by next year, and find employment at a company in Seoul during the second half of next year or the beginning of the following year.

"The greatest appeal is that it is run with a small number of students, allowing for careful attention to each individual."

I enjoy imagining things and am really fond of fantasy and science fiction genres. Naturally, while watching videos, I was exposed to countless graphics. The idea of bringing the worlds and situations that exist only in my mind to life—not just explaining them with words, but actually being able to see them—felt extremely appealing to me. That’s how I decided to pursue this field.
By chance, I came across a blog post about SF Film School and discovered that the school is well-equipped with a chroma key studio, filming props, and various filming equipment. I looked up videos made by students using these resources and was amazed at how professional and well-produced the videos were, just like actual movie scenes. Learning that such high-quality videos could be created at a school was astonishing to me.
After that, I started exploring SF Film School in more detail. Above all, the fact that it is run with a small number of students, allowing for careful attention to each individual, was the most appealing aspect. After reviewing the curriculum and watching students’ videos, I concluded that “this level of production could not be achieved at other schools,” which led me to choose SF Film School.
If I have the opportunity to attend, I want to seriously study computer graphics, improve my skills, create a portfolio, and eventually pursue a career in a field related to computer graphics.

“I became convinced that it would be practically helpful for portfolio production.”

I came to learn about the Visual Graphics field through my university major, and I found 3D graphics production more interesting than I had expected, which led me to develop a strong sense of attraction toward it. Among its aspects, I am especially fascinated by environment and background creation, as they play a major role in shaping the atmosphere of a work.
I first learned about SF Film School through a friend’s recommendation, and I was very satisfied with the consultation, as it was both kind and detailed. The structured curriculum gave me confidence that it would be practically helpful for portfolio production.
While looking at well-made portfolios, I felt motivated to study hard, create excellent works, and eventually join a good company where I can contribute to high-quality content creation. I hope to work in fields such as advertising, game companies, or 3D environment production teams in the metaverse industry.

"After finding the field that best suits my strengths, I plan to focus on studying it, graduate from university, and secure a job immediately."

While watching videos, I became curious about the technologies used to create them and how much effort goes into producing just a four-minute piece of content. As I searched for behind-the-scenes articles and production breakdowns, I learned about VFX.
Through these production reviews, I discovered that creators used software and technologies such as Blender, motion capture, and Unity. This reminded me of a project I participated in at university about a year ago, where we used ZBrush, Substance Painter, and 3ds Max to create a metaverse version of our campus. Having previously experienced working with 3D tools similar to Blender, I began to wonder, “If I learn these tools and become skilled at using them, could I create videos like those as well?”
The reason I ultimately became determined to pursue this field may seem simple, but it was when I saw the names of all the people involved listed in the ending credits of movies and animated films. At that moment, I thought, “What if my name appeared there one day?” That thought stayed with me and became a strong source of motivation.
Afterward, I began researching different academies. I chose this path because I wanted to learn visual graphics from the ground up, gradually discover which specialization suited me best, and eventually build a career in the industry.
I looked into several academies, but the portfolios produced by SF Film School stood out to me as the most impressive. In addition, because the classes are conducted with a small number of students, I felt that I would be able to receive feedback quickly whenever I encountered difficulties. These factors played a significant role in my decision.
I also had a very positive impression during my first consultation. There were many aspects of the field that I did not fully understand, but everything was explained clearly and in detail. The consultation gave me a strong sense of professionalism and confidence in the program.
Now that I have successfully passed both the first and second interview stages, my goal is to attend the program, identify the area that best matches my aptitude and interests, focus on developing my skills in that field, graduate from university, and move directly into employment.

"The conviction that I can achieve what I want to learn and accomplish at SF Film School"

By chance, while watching YouTube, I came across a video by a creator named Russell who transformed a 2D game into 3D using Unreal Engine, which sparked my interest. Recently, I saw the same YouTuber working on a project called Project Ryu, where he recreated Seoul in incredible detail using graphics. Witnessing this made me realize the endless possibilities of this field, and I felt a strong desire to build another world with such detail that it becomes almost indistinguishable from reality.
Because of its limitless applications and my wish to bring ideas to life, I decided to pursue the field of Visual Graphics. While exploring SF Film School’s website and looking at portfolios from previous students, I noticed a significant difference in the quality of their work, which gave me the confidence that I could achieve what I want to learn and create at SF Film School.
Furthermore, when I first visited, I immediately felt that the atmosphere was different from other educational institutions. At SF Film School, the instructors not only teach the fundamentals but also cover current technologies and trends. I believe it is essential to continue learning about new trends and emerging technologies, and I plan to form a small team to work on various projects, build a portfolio, and gain experience. Ultimately, my goal is to start a small company and continue creating a variety of works and projects.
