Kim Jae Hwan
"I want to learn properly and grow into a skilled artist.
I have set my ultimate goal as becoming an animator. I put aside all my previous concerns and reflected on what first inspired me to pursue this path. No matter how practical or promising a choice may be, it holds no meaning if it is not something I truly enjoy. The most important question for me was whether I could emotionally connect with a character.
Even when drawing as a hobby, I always focused on whether a single image could vividly convey a character’s emotions. To achieve this, I used dynamic compositions, expressive facial features, and dramatic situations. Once I clearly understood what I genuinely wanted to pursue, I became certain that animation was the field I should dedicate myself to.
Before choosing SF Film School, I visited and researched many academies. Through my experience working as a developer, I learned how critical the starting point is—early skills and foundational experiences have a lasting impact on long-term growth. That is why I believed it was essential to find an environment where I could build a strong foundation.
After careful consideration and advice from others, I visited SF Film School and ultimately decided to enroll. I believe this institution provides an environment closely aligned with real-world practice and offers an exceptionally high level of education.
As an accepted student, I want to fully commit to learning here and grow into a well-trained, capable artist.
Kim Chae Yeon
"I want to grow into a competitive artist both domestically and internationally."
I have always enjoyed films that make strong use of CG, such as John Wick, Avatar, and The Avengers. While watching them, I often wondered, “How are these visual effects created?” What started as simple curiosity gradually deepened, and I came to realize that these effects are not just visually impressive, but also essential elements that enhance immersion and storytelling.
As I watched scenes created with CG, I began to want to create them myself, which led me to decide to learn the necessary skills. While researching, I discovered the field of Visual Graphics. The combination of technology and creativity made it even more appealing, and the idea that I could move beyond simply watching to actually creating was especially exciting. Most importantly, the thought that I could make others feel the same emotions I experienced through visual effects left a strong impression on me and solidified my decision to pursue this field.
When I explored the SF Film School website and saw the students’ work, I was impressed by the high quality of the projects. It gave me confidence that I, too, could create work at that level if I studied there. The facilities and curriculum introduced on the website were also very appealing. In addition, seeing successful cases of students who went on to work overseas after training at SF Film School became a strong source of motivation.
During my in-person consultation, I was able to see the facilities firsthand, and I was impressed by the high-quality equipment and well-structured learning environment. I am someone who truly enjoys visual media and has a strong passion for this field. I am persistent in pursuing my goals and committed to seeing things through to the end. Although I am a beginner, I have a strong willingness to learn.
Through structured training at SF Film School, I want to build my skills and grow into an artist who is competitive on both a domestic and global level.
Park Eun Young
"I felt that SF Film School’s curriculum is more structured compared to other academies."
I have always aimed to become an animator. Although I originally planned to major in 2D animation, I naturally became interested in related fields, as working in animation ultimately involves understanding the entire visual production process.
Drawing is something anyone can do, and I do not consider myself exceptionally skilled at it. I realized that I may not become the best in that area, which led me to search for a different strength. I came to the conclusion that visual production is a field where I can work more comfortably and effectively, and that is why I chose this path.
Compared to other academies, SF Film School’s curriculum felt more structured. I believe that by studying here, I will be able to clearly identify my weaknesses and improve upon them.
I enjoy games, and recently I have developed an interest in game artwork and animation. I particularly like The Witcher series and the Persona series. I am especially drawn to design and modeling.
Although I tend to be introverted and may not express myself easily, I will do my best and continue to work hard.
Baek Sung Hyun
"I will work hard to learn and improve."
I came to realize that visual design has many different fields, and I found myself more drawn to motion-based visual design, where movement and space can be used more freely, rather than designing within a fixed space. That is why I chose video design within the Visual Graphics field. I was especially interested in learning 3D graphics focused on film.
While exploring other academies, I felt that many of them focused primarily on teaching tools rather than fostering creativity or guiding students toward their desired direction. As I was 고민 about this, I happened to discover SF Film School through a search, and I felt that it was the right place for me.
My first impression was that the school has strong international connections and a high number of skilled students. Being accepted made me feel relieved and happy, but at the same time, I also feel some चिंता about the future.
Moving forward, I will study English alongside my training at the academy and continue to work hard to improve my skills. I look forward to learning and growing here.
Kim Chan Seo
"I will work hard to make this a meaningful year."
I hadn’t given much thought to my career until I had to choose a path before graduating high school. As I started thinking about what I truly enjoy, I realized how much I had always loved watching movies with my family and friends. I especially remembered rewatching Marvel films multiple times, which led me to search for careers related to film. That’s when I discovered the field of VFX and decided to pursue it.
Around the same time, I had the opportunity to learn more about this field through a VFX designer working at my father’s company. Hearing about their work and career path made a strong impression on me and reinforced my decision.
After deciding to study at an academy, I explored several options and ultimately chose SF Film School because it seemed the most specialized and aligned with the film industry I want to enter. My first impression was that it felt like a real film studio, and during the consultation, I even felt a bit overwhelmed by the environment.
Since I am taking a leave of absence from school to focus on my studies this year, I applied with a strong determination to fully commit. I will work hard to clearly shape my career path and move forward with purpose, making this a meaningful and productive year.
Kim Hye Ri
“I will challenge myself without fear and give it my all.”
Rather than playing games myself, I have always enjoyed watching them, and one day I began to wonder what it would be like if other people could also experience the worlds I imagine. That thought became the reason I chose this path.
I wanted to pursue a new field of study, but instead of focusing only on employment, I wanted to start by building a strong foundation from the basics, which is why I searched for a place like this. It felt like a place that not just anyone could enter, and I liked the idea of learning through a cohort system where people with similar characteristics and interests study together rather than individually.
Although I can be a little shy, I also have an active side, so I tend to adapt well to new environments. Once I become focused on something, I usually see it through to the end even if my skills are still lacking. Taking on something new naturally comes with fear, but I want to overcome it with persistence.
I used to worry and ask myself, “Can I really do this?” or “Will I be able to succeed?” But after being accepted, those fears gradually turned into confidence, making me think, “Let’s give it a try,” and “I can do this.” Just as I was not afraid to change my major, I will continue to face challenges without fear and do my very best.
Park Ha Neul
“I will work hard so that my strengths stand out more than my weaknesses.”
The colors, movements, and visual storytelling shown in animation deeply fascinated me. This experience naturally led to an interest in design, especially in advertising, where I became curious about how people react to visual content. Watching powerful images and characters in advertisements capture people’s attention and deliver messages in memorable ways made me think, “How exciting would it be if I could influence people through visual expression like this?”
My desire to create and produce animations myself continued to grow, which eventually led me to attend a specialized high school. Although I studied the Blender program on my own, I often felt lost and unsure about where or how to begin. While searching for an academy, I came across SF Film School and decided to choose it for several reasons.
The biggest reason was the quality of SF Film School’s portfolio work. In addition, the academy’s equipment and overall system were very impressive. The environment was equipped with advanced technology and practical training facilities, making it possible to gain real hands-on experience rather than only learning theory. All of these aspects gave me great confidence and convinced me that SF Film School was the ideal place to study 3D graphics in a structured and professional way. Even from my first impression, I strongly felt that this was the place where I wanted to learn.
Although I still have many areas where I need improvement, I will do my best and work hard so that people notice my strengths more than my weaknesses. I also know that I lack experience with 3D programs, but I will participate actively in every class and seek guidance whenever there is something I do not understand. During my time here, I will continue to work hard, learn continuously, and show my growth through dedication and effort.
Lee Dong Hwang
“I will become a student who never disappoints myself.”
I have always enjoyed working with programs of any kind. While other people were studying with pencils in their hands, I was holding a mouse and teaching myself video editing. Later, when my parents told me that I could pursue what I truly wanted after graduating from university, I realized I had no clear idea of what I wanted to do.
One day, while talking with a friend who often discussed games and different ideas about the world with me, he mentioned that he was majoring in game planning. He told me, “You really enjoy working with programs, and whenever I talk to you, I can tell how much you genuinely like games. I think studying something related to games would suit you well.” After hearing that, I slowly started looking into the field.
The reason I became interested in graphics was also because of that friend’s recommendation. I briefly studied through another platform, and it felt like a much better fit for me than I had expected. To be honest, the only things I had made at that point were very basic effects like simple fire or rain, but I became deeply absorbed in the thought that maybe I could finally create the kinds of things I had always wanted to make.
Because I wanted to seriously study what I was interested in, I considered whether I should take private lessons or attend an academy, and eventually decided on an academy. While searching online, I came across many comments saying that graduates from SF Film School were especially skilled at their work, so I applied right away.
At the time I applied, I honestly felt both excitement and anxiety, wondering, “Is this really the kind of academy I’m imagining?” However, after receiving counseling and being accepted, I gained confidence that I could truly succeed here, even before officially starting the program.
From now on, if my instructors guide me well, I will follow with dedication and work as hard as I can. I will become a student who never disappoints myself.
Lee Seok Ho
“I was able to come this far by starting, persevering, and continuing to put in effort.”
While working, I became interested in 3D graphics and animation as video content began to be used more frequently in performances. In the future, I also plan to expand into video-related industries as part of my business and professionally develop stage backgrounds and transition visuals used in performances.
As I continued producing performances, I noticed that more productions were being combined with visual media, which made me realize the need for more professional and systematic training. After researching many different places, I searched for an institution that offered both structured, specialized knowledge and practical, hands-on education. Through that process, I came to believe that SF Film School was one of the best places in this field, which is why I chose it.
During the interview process, after seeing and hearing about many different places, I once again felt that the educational curriculum and practical training environment here were truly excellent.
Since I was young, I have worked in fields that people often describe as difficult and demanding. Even when others said it was too late, I never once believed that learning had an age limit. By starting, persevering, and continuing to work hard, I was able to come this far. I have experienced failure, but I have also overcome it. I have never neglected learning in the field I wanted to pursue, and I have always been the type of person who does not give up and continues until the end.
I am positive-minded and proactive, and I know how to overcome the stress that comes from work. Although this is a professional field I have not experienced before, I have a strong determination to succeed. I firmly believe that there is nothing impossible with enough effort, and because I have lived by that belief until now, I will continue to learn diligently and work hard to demonstrate my abilities.
Lee Ji Hyun
“My goal is to become a professional who creates creative and impactful visual effects.”
Because my mother loved movies, I was naturally exposed to films from a young age, which led me to develop a strong interest in cinema. Through these experiences, I began to dream of working in the film industry, and while researching related careers, I discovered the field of VFX.
Among the five human senses, I have always been especially fascinated by visual stimulation, which made me even more interested in becoming a VFX artist among the many professions in the film industry. Since VFX is a field that requires specialized technical skills, I believed that studying entirely on my own would be extremely difficult, which led me to search for a professional VFX academy.
Before choosing an academy, I considered several important factors, including the quality of education, the structure of the curriculum, and the effectiveness of career support programs for graduates. After comparing several institutions based on these standards, I became convinced that SF Film School was the place that best matched my goals.
I believe that SF Film School is not simply a place to learn technical skills, but a partner that can help students grow together toward their dreams. Through VFX, I want to visually express imaginary worlds and allow others to experience the same sense of visual wonder and excitement that I have felt myself.
I plan to continuously challenge myself by participating in various projects, gaining experience, and improving my expertise. Ultimately, my goal is to grow as a VFX artist and become a professional who creates creative and memorable visual effects across a wide range of content.
Lim Chae Hyun
“I will approach every class sincerely and with dedication.”
I have always enjoyed movies, dramas, and animation, which led me to become interested in learning more about the production process and technical fields behind them. As I continued watching impressive visuals created through backgrounds, effects, and other digital techniques, I naturally came to admire this kind of work and began thinking that I also wanted to create projects like these myself.
I first learned about SF Film School through an acquaintance’s recommendation and later received counseling after researching it online. At first, I think I approached it without too much pressure. However, during the consultation, I was very impressed by the academy’s small-group teaching system, interior design, and facilities. It made me feel that this was an environment where I could study hard and grow effectively.
At that moment, I also became convinced that if I were to learn CG, SF Film School was the right place to do it. Although I felt nervous during both the consultation and the application process, I feel much more at ease now that I have been accepted.
From now on, I will participate in every class sincerely and with dedication, always doing my best to learn and improve.
Cho Young Min
“I will never give up and will always do my very best.”
I once dreamed of creating animation and wanted to pursue a career through drawing, but I gave up due to strong opposition from my parents. At the time, I was also aware of the field of 3D animation, but because I had not yet seen truly high-quality work, I convinced myself that it was not the right path for me and spent years setting the idea aside.
However, after becoming an adult and watching countless Hollywood films and CG animations, my perspective completely changed. I realized that this field could allow me to bring to life the scenes and characters I had imagined in my mind for such a long time, which ultimately led me to choose this path.
I trusted SF Film School because it focuses on beginners and has overwhelmingly strong results that clearly demonstrate its quality. It gave me the feeling that this was the place where I could develop the ability to bring the world inside my imagination into reality.
Since I am still a complete beginner, I initially applied for counseling without much confidence, simply thinking that I should at least give it a try. Deep down, I worried that I might not be accepted, so I felt a great sense of relief after being admitted.
Now, I know that everything depends on how much effort I put in from this point forward, and because of that, I will never give up and will always do my very best. I will not hesitate to strengthen my weak points through additional practice and self-study, and I will fully dedicate myself to participating actively throughout the entire educational process.
Kim Se Young
“I have decided to take on the major challenge of 3D.”
What I currently need most is 3D modeling. That is why I wanted to learn Autodesk Maya, and through the consultation process, I realized that by learning Maya, I would be able to work on modeling and animation to a certain extent. It was not that I had no interest in video production either. I had always thought it would be interesting to bring my own characters to life through video, which became another reason I decided to start learning.
I wanted to study Maya modeling in order to expand my professional skills, so I looked into several Maya academies. However, I was hesitant to enroll because neither the portfolio quality nor the consultations felt convincing enough. Around that time, a colleague shared the SF Film School website with me.
After looking through the portfolio section and seeing the students’ work, I felt that the quality was at a level that would be difficult to find even in Korea, which led me to visit the academy in person. During the consultation, I could tell that the counselor genuinely took both my concerns and my colleague’s concerns seriously. What especially built my trust was their honest comment that it would be okay even if I chose a different academy. That made me realize they were not simply trying to recruit students, but were sincerely thinking about what would be best for us.
Through this experience, I decided to take on the major challenge of 3D. I look forward to learning and growing through this opportunity.
Kim Seung Hyun
“I will devote myself to creation with passionate dedication.”
I chose this path because I was fascinated by the diverse forms of expression that can be created within virtual spaces and wanted to turn that passion into a profession. Through various experiences, I have developed practical skills in the fields of 3DCG and the metaverse, and I have also improved my communication abilities through interpretation experiences in many different situations. Based on these experiences, I hope to continue growing even further in the future.
The reason I discovered SF Film School was through recommendations from acquaintances and the inspiration I received after watching students’ work on YouTube. Seeing those projects made me think that I also wanted to create work of that level and quality myself.
I was very satisfied with how kind and supportive the academy was, especially because they explained in detail why each learning method was important, which helped me quickly understand and accept the process. While applying to SF Film School, I felt both excitement about improving my weaknesses and a strong determination to learn with even greater passion.
Without losing the mindset I had when I first started, I will continue dedicating myself to creation with passionate enthusiasm and commitment.
Choi Jung Won
“Let’s step into a new place. Let’s challenge ourselves.”
I have always enjoyed watching animation and movies, and because of that, I had always wanted to learn the techniques behind them. A few months ago, while watching a movie by chance, I suddenly found myself wondering, “How do they create work like this?” and I felt a strong desire to learn it myself. From that moment, I began searching for academies in Busan, and SF Film School seemed to be the most suitable and professional place, which led me to book a consultation.
After the consultation, I felt that I understood the academy in much greater detail, and it also helped build more trust and confidence in the school. When I was accepted into SF Film School, I felt truly happy and kept thinking, “Let’s step into a new place. Let’s challenge ourselves.”
Even now, I still feel nervous and worried about whether I will do well or struggle to keep up, but more than anything else, I simply want to work as hard as I can. Since this is a field I have always wanted to learn, I will do my absolute best with dedication and effort. I hope to be guided well throughout this journey.
Ahn Ji Eun
“I want to create visual content that can bring warmth and comfort to people.”
Personally, I loved drawing characters when I was young, and I always dreamed of seeing those characters move with motion and life. I believed that I would truly enjoy the long process of bringing soul and personality into them.
Since I first discovered SF Film School through its website, the student interviews and various awards immediately caught my attention. What especially influenced me, however, were the interviews with overseas industry professionals. Hearing them speak highly of the quality of the portfolios and consistently mention the high standard of the work made me want to receive a proper consultation and learn more about the academy.
After the consultation, I felt that I shared similar values with the instructor. The teacher emphasized the importance of students’ effort, which is something I strongly agree with as well. I also appreciated how kindly everything was explained. Whenever I asked questions, they thoughtfully considered my concerns together with me and continued giving sincere answers, which left a strong impression on me.
I felt that the academy had many advantages, such as being close to home, producing excellent visual content using robots and machinery, and allowing students to continue using the classroom environment for practice. After being accepted, the thoughts that came to my mind were: “How can I best express the individuality I already have?” “How can I fully understand and absorb the techniques taught by the academy?” and “How can I manage my time effectively to produce high-quality work in a short period of time?”
My greatest ambition, in a broad sense, is to create visual content that gives warmth and comfort to people. More specifically, I hope to one day upload my work to YouTube and achieve one million views.
Over the next year, I expect to learn everything from the fundamentals of motion to the process of creating completed works, and I believe it will become a journey where we can laugh, struggle, and grow together.
Yu Min Sang
“I want to become one small gear in the process of creating works that allow people to feel emotional change.”
I first learned about CG while attending university. I originally started with drawing, and while many of my classmates were skeptical about CG and did not want to learn it, I was able to transition into it without much resistance. To me, both drawing and CG were simply tools for communicating with other people.
I want to become one small gear in the process of creating works that allow audiences to feel emotional change through visual storytelling.
As I continued learning CG, I constantly felt that there were areas where I was lacking, which led me to search for a place where I could fill those gaps. Since I have not officially attended yet, I cannot fully describe my first impression. However, after watching the graduates’ showreels, I was able to recognize the high level that students here can achieve, and that gave me a strong sense of trust.
I chose this place because I truly believe it will help me grow once again. Through this opportunity, I will continue improving myself and work hard to become a better 3D artist.
Lee Sol Yi
“I want to continue working hard for my growth while imagining the best version of my future self.”
Since high school, I have been fascinated by science fiction films and watched many Marvel movies, which naturally led me to become curious about the field of CG. When I first encountered this field last year, however, I thought it was unrealistic because learning it required a great deal of money and I was not even majoring in a related subject. Because of those concerns, I ended up giving up on the idea at the time.
But now that this opportunity has come back to me once again, I truly want to seize it this time.
When I first discovered this academy, I felt that it was a place with real expertise in the field I wanted to pursue. After the consultation, the sincerity of the instructor’s words gave me confidence that if I completed the curriculum, I would be able to use the tools professionally and create creative works of my own.
Last year, after leaving my previous job at the end of my contract, I spent a lot of time thinking deeply about the direction of my life, and during that process, I became interested in the CG field. As someone who loves science fiction films, this interest went beyond simple curiosity and became something genuinely exciting to me. However, due to opposition from my family, the dream that had briefly grown in my heart was set aside.
Still, there must be a reason why, one year later, I have once again become interested in this path. Even now, when I imagine myself working in the CG industry, my heart still races with excitement.
This time, I do not want to give up before even trying. I believe that my life is something I must build for myself, and while imagining a future version of myself that I can be proud of, I want to continue striving steadily for growth and improvement.
Kim Kyu Min
“I am willing to study consistently through both the short and long journey ahead.”
While watching Pixar Animation Studios animations, I became interested in the field of visual graphics after seeing videos that showed how character designs are created using 3D technology. In particular, I was deeply impressed by the process of designing the character Sullivan from Monsters, Inc., especially the way each strand of fur was carefully created and animated.
More recently, after seeing the works of Kim Onyu, I began to sincerely feel that I wanted to learn visual graphics professionally.
I first learned about SF Film School through a recommendation from my professor. After looking through the curriculum and class atmosphere on the website, I personally liked the environment that encouraged independent learning. I also felt that studying alongside students with similar career goals and skill levels would become a strong source of motivation for one another.
I am mainly interested in abstract artwork and hope to create projects that pursue the beauty of visually constructing realistic environments. Although I am still a beginner and have many things to learn, I am fully willing to continue studying consistently throughout both the short and long journey ahead.
Kim Min Ji
“I will continue striving to become a more positive and passionate person.”
After completing my third year of university, I realized before beginning my senior graduation project that I did not want to continue forward without a clear direction. Rather than simply aiming to graduate, I wanted to establish a definite career path and develop real professional skills. I wanted to create work that was not only meaningful but could also serve as a strong portfolio piece.
During that process, I discovered SF Film School and became convinced that it was a place where I could efficiently build professional skills even within the relatively short period of one year.
While attending university classes, I realized that although individual effort is extremely important in this field, seeing the work of other students during class also gave me a great deal of motivation and inspiration. That is one of the reasons I wanted to study at SF Film School, where I could learn alongside students with similar goals under the detailed guidance of a homeroom instructor.
I believe that what I learn at SF Film School will become an important turning point in both my career and personal growth. Through the skills and knowledge I gain here, I plan to continue developing myself into a capable generalist and make sure that what I learn can be practically applied even after graduation.
I truly love the Kirby character from Nintendo. Kirby has the ability to absorb the powers of others and freely make them his own, while also maintaining a bright and cheerful personality. What I admire most about Kirby is the positive and passionate attitude shown even in difficult situations through the use of those abilities.
I believe that this side of Kirby resembles me in many ways, and I will continue learning, improving, and striving to become a more positive and passionate person in the future. If you notice areas where I am lacking, I would sincerely appreciate honest feedback, and I will continue growing through consistent guidance and self-improvement.
