Kim Sa Eon
“I will continue learning diligently with a humble attitude.”
I once had the opportunity to briefly learn Cinema 4D through one of my major courses, and I became fascinated by it. Because of that interest, I even attended visual design classes outside of my main coursework.
When producing live-action films, creators inevitably encounter many limitations such as budget constraints and social or practical restrictions. However, in the world of CG, I felt there were endless possibilities because, as long as I had the skills, I could express anything I imagined without those realistic limitations.
With the single goal of creating animation, I have continued moving forward until now. I do not know whether every step I took before this was the right one, but I am truly grateful that SF Film School has given me another opportunity to learn. I want to approach this opportunity sincerely, as if it were the most important chance in my life.
I want to create animations in my own unique style—works that even large studios such as Pixar Animation Studios or The Walt Disney Company could not replicate. In order to achieve goals like these, I hope to learn not only the technical skills I need, but also the mindset and attitude required through SF Film School.
I will continue learning diligently with humility and dedication.
Son Da Ye
“I am someone who loves and enjoys watching, creating, and learning about visual content.”
The first time I became curious about graphics in films was when I watched Avatar. I was very young at the time, so my dream was still vague—I only thought that I wanted to work in a field related to movies, without imagining such a specific career path.
After entering university and taking classes related to video production, I became even more certain that I wanted to pursue a career connected to visual media. Although I was interested in 3D, I hesitated because I had heard that the industry has poor work-life balance and requires highly technical skills. Because of that, I initially focused only on studying 2D motion graphics. However, over time, I realized that I would probably be happier working in the 3D industry, which ultimately led me to begin pursuing it seriously.
When I decided to prepare for a career in 3D, I was told that unlike 2D, attending an academy would be much more efficient than studying entirely on my own. At the same time, I also heard that it was important to choose a place with a proper curriculum, because otherwise the time and money invested would not lead to meaningful results.
While researching different academies online, I frequently came across mentions of SF Film School. After seeing the students’ portfolio work and award-winning projects from competitions such as the Rookie Awards, I was impressed by the high quality and creativity of the work. I felt that learning in an environment like this could help me grow tremendously, which is why I decided to visit.
My first consultation experience was very positive. The academy felt systematic and seemed to have extensive information and experience regarding overseas employment opportunities, which made me feel that I could trust the guidance I was receiving. Having previously gone through the art entrance exam process, I personally believe that the size of an academy and the quality of its industry information are extremely important. In that sense, SF Film School felt like a place with strong resources and credibility.
Although my knowledge and skills in 3D are still at an amateur level, I am someone who genuinely loves and enjoys watching, creating, and learning about visual content. I tend to feel even greater joy when learning something related to a field I am passionate about, and I always approach my work with dedication and enthusiasm. I look forward to learning and growing here.
Yu Se Eun
“I will give it my all with passion and dedication.”
Watching works such as Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone and Marvel Studios productions sparked my interest and curiosity in the field of CG. Wanting to learn more, I began searching through YouTube without really knowing where to start. While watching a video by the YouTuber CGman titled “You Want to Learn CG but Don’t Know Where to Start?”, I realized that the content perfectly reflected the questions I was personally struggling with at the time. That experience eventually led me to start searching for academies.
After deciding that I wanted to attend a visual design academy, I compared several options, and SF Film School stood out the most because of the outstanding quality of its students’ work and award achievements. Those results left a strong impression on me, which became one of the main reasons I chose this academy.
I also became even more interested after seeing realistic photos and videos of the academy’s facilities. It felt like an environment that was fully equipped for serious learning and growth.
Since this is the first time I have personally explored and chosen to study a completely new field outside of my original major, I currently feel both nervousness and excitement. Because this is an opportunity I genuinely wanted for myself, I am approaching it with the mindset of constantly challenging myself and continuing to learn new things.
I have a determined personality, and once I set a goal, I tend to pursue it with persistence and dedication. I will give this opportunity everything I have with passion and commitment.
Lee Ji Yeon
“I will put forth my passion and effort to achieve great results.”
The reason I decided to challenge myself in the field of 3D is because I became convinced that I could express my creative ideas in a much richer and more vivid way through 3D. While searching for information related to the 3D industry, I came across student portfolios on YouTube. The quality of the work was extremely impressive, and seeing those projects made me think, “I want to create something like this as well,” which ultimately led me to apply to SF Film School.
Since I am not originally from a related major, I spent a lot of time 고민ing about which 3D tools would suit me best. During the first and second interviews, however, I was able to organize my thoughts and better understand both the strengths I already possess and the concerns I had about my future direction. That experience was very meaningful to me.
When I was accepted, I felt as though I had finally taken my first step into the world of 3D. At the same time, I reminded myself that I should not become satisfied with simply being accepted. Instead, I realized that I needed to continue working hard until I could create a truly strong portfolio.
I am also aware that, because I am older than some of the other students, I may need to work even harder than they do. Although my start may seem somewhat late, I will make up for it with even greater passion, dedication, and effort in order to achieve meaningful results.
Choi Jae Hyuck
“As someone who has been accepted, I will approach my education responsibly, sincerely, and with my absolute best effort.”
As someone who genuinely enjoys playing games, I have experienced a wide variety of titles and became fascinated by the unique and immersive virtual worlds created through each game’s distinct setting and storytelling. Through trailers and cinematic videos produced from those worlds, I naturally developed a strong interest in the field of visual graphics.
When I saw the work of SF Film School graduates online, I was impressed by the exceptionally high quality of their projects. After exploring the academy’s website, I was also deeply impressed by its structured curriculum and outstanding instructors. Based on these factors, I came to believe that SF Film School would be the right place for someone like me who dreams of becoming a 3D modeler.
Although I originally dreamed of entering the film industry, my perspective has changed recently. Rather than limiting myself to only one direction, I want to build deeper knowledge and technical skills in visual graphics through the academy’s curriculum, then carefully explore which field best suits me before making a final career decision.
Now that I have been accepted, I plan to approach every part of the educational process with responsibility, sincerity, and my fullest effort.
Choi Ju Young
“If I create visual content myself, I want to make work like the projects created at SF Film School.”
At school, I learned illustration and Adobe Photoshop, and through that experience, I discovered that I genuinely enjoyed working with digital programs. Because of that interest, I began wanting to go beyond flat design and learn programs that could create more three-dimensional and immersive work, such as 3D graphics.
Since I have always been interested in animation and games like League of Legends, I naturally started thinking about creating my own 3D animations connected to the things I enjoy. From that point on, I began seriously researching the field of visual graphics for myself.
Last winter, I happened to come across an SF Film School student portfolio video on YouTube Shorts. The title was something like “An Animation That Won a Global Competition,” and I was honestly shocked by the quality of the work. After that, I started looking more deeply into SF Film School and learned about programs such as Autodesk Maya. Over the following year, I spent a great deal of time thinking seriously about my future career path.
Although I had always loved animation and dreamed of learning how to create visual content myself, I hesitated because it was a completely unfamiliar field to me, and I was afraid of taking the first step. However, even after that, I kept thinking about wanting to learn and create these kinds of projects. Eventually, I realized that if I were to make visual content myself, I wanted it to look like the work created by SF Film School students.
My overall goal is to learn programs such as Maya and ZBrush, build a strong portfolio, and eventually work at an animation or game company.
Kwon Hyug Jung
“Even if I may not be good at something at first, I believe in challenging myself and trying anyway.”
I first learned about the field of visual graphics after it was recommended to me by an entrance exam academy. As I later entered university and studied in this field, I became increasingly curious and interested while learning various processes related to it.
Among the places that teach 3D, SF Film School appeared to have the highest level of skill and professionalism. I had also previously seen several works from the school through university special lectures and social media, which became another reason I chose SF Film School. Overall, I was left with a strong impression of how impressive everything was.
Before being accepted, I kept wondering, “Will I really make it?” and worried that unexpected circumstances might prevent me from getting in, so I simply felt very happy and relieved after being accepted.
While attending SF Film School, my first goal is to improve my modeling skills and eventually find employment within Korea. After gaining enough experience and skill, if I have the opportunity to expand overseas, I would also like to pursue an international career.
More than anything, I have the mindset of trying things even if I may not be good at them at first. I believe that if you only think about doing something without actually trying, then you have not even taken the first step. Because of that, even when situations become difficult or discouraging, I try to treat every experience as something meaningful to learn from. I always aim to challenge myself, think positively, and maintain a bright and optimistic mindset.
Park Je Jung
“I will not give up, and I will work hard until these skills truly become my own.”
At first, I vaguely wanted to find a job in video editing. However, over time, I began to feel that nowadays almost anyone can learn basic video editing relatively easily. Because of that, I started thinking that if I could not only edit videos but also develop specialized visual skills, it would help me both when finding a job and after entering the industry.
As I wondered what kind of visual technology I should pursue, I remembered how impressed I had been during college by the effects used in music videos. Back then, I often thought, “I want to create videos like that someday.” That memory eventually led me toward the 3D field, and while researching it, I discovered Autodesk Maya.
I initially started academy consultations simply thinking, “Let’s try learning Maya.” But the more consultations I attended, the more I realized that this was actually the exact kind of visual technology I had always wanted to create. As a result, my interest grew even stronger.
After the consultation, I had a very strong feeling that this was the academy I truly wanted to attend. Even on my way home, I kept thinking that if I learned somewhere other than SF Film School, I would probably regret it. I felt that if I was going to invest my time into learning, then I should learn at the place I genuinely wanted to be, so that I could study without regrets and fully dedicate myself.
I was very happy to be accepted into the academy I truly wanted to attend, and it made me determined to work even harder. Since I will begin classes in January, I have promised myself that I will not give up just because things become difficult. Instead, I will continue learning with persistence until these skills completely become my own, and I will create a high-quality portfolio to achieve employment in the industry.
Ahn So Young
“I will do my very best so that I have no regrets.”
While thinking seriously about my future career path, I wanted to choose a profession that could connect with my major in sculpture because I felt that doing so would allow me to work with greater passion and enjoyment. During that process, I discovered the field of VFX.
After deciding that this was the field I wanted to pursue, I found SF Film School, and it seemed like a place where I could gain experiences similar to real industry work. SF Film School gave me a strong sense of professionalism. I think that feeling came from a combination of many factors, such as the curriculum, learning environment, and the achievements of its students.
I developed confidence that I would be able to learn skills that could be applied directly in professional work, and the phrase about “the process of creating a complete project” became the deciding factor that made me choose SF Film School.
Because this is a completely new field for me, I spent a lot of time worrying about whether I would truly be able to do well. However, I ultimately realized that this is the kind of work I can genuinely enjoy, and because of that, I believe I will be able to continue doing it with passion and dedication.
Now that I have been accepted into SF Film School, I want to use what I learn here to create the kinds of projects I have always wanted to make. I will do my very best so that I have no regrets.
I believe my strengths are responsibility and consistency. My current goal is to continue working hard and produce results that I can truly be satisfied with.
Lee Young Hye
“I want to create a portfolio that reflects my own style and storytelling.”
I first became interested in the field of visual graphics after watching my private tutor work on projects. From that moment on, I naturally became curious about related creative work, and later, while watching creations uploaded by others on YouTube, I began to think, “I want to try making something like this myself.”
One of the most impressive works I have ever seen was Frozen II. Every scene was expressed with such natural movement and incredible attention to detail that the characters truly felt alive while I was watching. I still remember being deeply amazed by how realistic and emotionally engaging it felt.
As my interest in 3D animation continued to grow, I searched for more information related to the field and eventually discovered SF Film School. When applying, I felt both excitement and anticipation about challenging myself in a completely new field, while also feeling worried about whether I would be able to do well.
When I received the acceptance notice, I was happy because it meant I had been given the opportunity to truly learn and grow in this field. At the same time, I also felt a strong sense of responsibility to approach the entire process sincerely and seriously.
Moving forward, I want to learn step by step from the very basics and eventually create a portfolio that reflects my own unique style, personality, and storytelling.
Jang Yu Jin
“I will approach every class with determination and work hard to carry out all the responsibilities given to me.”
While researching universities and different majors, I first learned about the field of graphics. After entering university, I was able to explore it in greater depth, and through that process, I realized that the 3D field suited my interests and abilities much more than I had expected.
While searching for academies that teach Autodesk Maya, I received a recommendation from an acquaintance. After visiting the SF Film School website and seeing the wide variety of student projects, I became interested and decided to apply for a consultation.
Although I chose to join the academy a little later than others, I am determined to work even harder because of that. I have often lacked confidence when trying to accomplish things entirely on my own, and because I am not always very organized, I sometimes struggle with taking action. However, when I have good guidance and support beside me, I am the kind of person who works sincerely and completes the tasks given to me with dedication.
Since I will need to balance both university studies and academy classes at the same time, there may be moments when academic responsibilities affect my schedule. Still, because I made the decision to pursue both together, I intend to work even harder and approach every responsibility with commitment and determination.
Even if I sometimes hesitate or struggle along the way, I would be truly grateful for guidance, encouragement, and constructive feedback that can help me continue improving and create even better work in the future.
Yoon Seo Ah
“I hope this becomes a time to discover how far I can grow.”
For a long time, I had wanted to learn how to create work using realistic live-action style visuals. While studying Cinema 4D, I became curious about the field that creates even more realistic visual content, which eventually led me to discover the field of visual graphics.
As I searched for a place where I could study CG more professionally, I came across SF Film School. I found it easy to understand because they clearly explained the overall work and structure of the CG industry. I also felt that they would genuinely support me throughout the six-month program because they took the time to ask thoughtful and detailed questions about me personally.
When applying, I definitely felt anxiety about the uncertainty of my future. However, after being accepted, I realized that the right thing to do was to fully commit myself until the end before making any judgments. I hope these six months become a period where I can pour all of my passion into learning and truly discover how far I am capable of growing.
Right now, I still think of myself as someone who lacks confidence and knows very little about CG. Through this education, I hope to develop even greater passion and become someone who genuinely enjoys learning and creating in the CG field.
Although I tend to worry a lot, I also have a strong desire to learn and improve. Since I am preparing for a future career that could shape and support my life, I naturally have many concerns and responsibilities on my mind. Even so, I truly want to follow the classes diligently, build my own portfolio, and achieve meaningful results, which is why I plan to devote myself fully to the process.
Lee Da Eun
“I want to prove myself through my work.”
Because I prepared for art school admissions in the United States, I already had some familiarity with graphics. However, I did not truly begin learning about the field of visual graphics in depth until I entered university. At school, I studied various elements required for game production, such as planning, coding, and design. Through 3D modeling classes in particular, I became much more interested in the field and realized how much enjoyment 3D modeling gives me.
When I personally researched different 3D modeling academies, most of them seemed to freely accept students who simply wanted to learn the software. In contrast, what attracted me most about SF Film School was the fact that students are organized into classes based on career direction through first and second interviews. That system felt much more specialized and meaningful to me.
After visiting the academy myself and looking around the facilities, SF Film School genuinely felt like a major opportunity in my life. At other academies, consultations mostly focused on explaining the curriculum, tuition, and student portfolios. However, during my conversation here, even within a short amount of time, I received advice about areas I had never considered before and guidance on what direction might suit me best.
After that conversation, I strongly felt that the instructors at SF Film School would sincerely care about educating their students. Through both the consultation and my visit to the academy, I came to believe that this school could become a very important opportunity for me.
I truly want to become skilled at 3D modeling, and I am confident that I can work intensely and passionately toward that goal. I am not the type of person who puts effort into things I am not interested in, but when I become interested in something, I am the kind of student who can spend an entire day fully focused on improving.
Because of that, I believe the environment and instructors at this academy would suit me extremely well. If I am given the opportunity to study here, I want to create work at the same level as the student projects I saw on YouTube, so that one day other people can look at my work, recognize my abilities, and allow me to prove myself through what I create.
Lee Min Ju
“I want to create anything I imagine without being limited by my current level of skill.”
I originally majored in an art-related field, and because I had always loved animation and films, I decided to explore this path after receiving a recommendation from a friend. Later, while studying abroad, I attended school in a related field as well.
At first, everything felt difficult, and I struggled even with memorizing the program shortcuts and controls. To be honest, the software still feels challenging at times. However, whenever I look at a completed model, I feel both pride and a sense of wanting to improve further, and those feelings made me realize that I truly want to continue down this path.
After failing to find employment in Canada, I felt lost about what I should do back in Korea. My skills still felt insufficient, there were few job opportunities, and while worrying about my future, I came across the Rookie Awards on Instagram and learned about SF Film School.
Sometimes I run into problems that I cannot solve on my own. Even when I watch tutorials on YouTube and find solutions, I often do not fully understand why those methods work, which leaves me feeling frustrated. SF Film School felt like a place that could help me overcome that frustration and build a deeper understanding of the work itself.
I also feel that my current skill level is still far behind where I want it to be, so I believe that learning here would make it much easier for me to create the characters and people I truly want to make.
The very first impression I had when coming here was amazement. There were many figures and models of devices from films on display, and I thought they would be incredibly inspiring references for practicing detailed modeling work.
I honestly wondered whether anyone would even want to teach someone like me, who still lacks skills and experience. That is why being accepted made me incredibly happy, because it felt like being given one final opportunity.
At this academy, I want to study as hard as I can so that I no longer feel limited by my current abilities and can freely create anything I imagine. While building my portfolio, I also hope to eventually work overseas. Even if the chances may feel impossibly small at times, I will not give up and will continue doing my best.
Jung Sung Mook
"I always approach learning with sincerity and dedication."
While studying 3D as my major, I gradually discovered how enjoyable the process of learning could be. Although it can be challenging, I found it rewarding to create something on my own and see immediate, visible results from my work. I have watched the portfolio videos uploaded on YouTube many times, and I feel excited about the possibility of creating work with that level of quality myself. At SF Film School, I want to build a strong foundation and make technical skills truly my own under the guidance of the instructors. My goal is to create a high-quality portfolio that reflects my own style and eventually work in the VFX industry.
Whenever I learn something new, I always approach it with sincerity and dedication. I may take time to fully absorb new tools and there will likely be many moments where I get stuck, but I will continue learning without giving up. I will trust my instructors, maintain a hardworking attitude, and give my best until the day my portfolio is complete.
Cho Sun Young
"I want to give my absolute best for my future and my dreams."
I have loved animation since I was young, which led me to prepare for art entrance exams during high school. I was accepted into a film and animation program, but I felt that the program was mainly focused on 2D work, and I realized it was not the direction I truly wanted. I have always wanted to work with 3D animation.
While searching online for rigging and modeling schools to prepare for employment opportunities in Canada, I came across SF Film School. At first, I chose it because I thought it would be helpful since it also has a campus in Vancouver, which is where I ultimately hope to work. Hearing that many students had successfully found jobs overseas also gave me confidence in my decision.
Since elementary school, my dream has been to contribute to creating animation and films. However, what I learned after entering university turned out to be quite different from what I truly wanted to pursue. After taking a longer path and spending a lot of time thinking about my future, I finally found what I genuinely want to do.
I no longer feel like I have unlimited time ahead of me, so I want to treat this as my final opportunity and dedicate myself fully to studying and improving. I spent a long time questioning what I truly wanted to do, but now that I have finally found the answer, I want to give my absolute best over the next year and work as hard as I can for my future and my dreams.
Choi Yu Jin
"I want to continue learning, improving my weaknesses, and growing together with others."
Watching various science fiction films inspired me to create large-scale CG work myself and produce meaningful results through my own efforts. I chose to major in a film-related field at university, and during my four years of study, I was exposed to many science fiction films and a wide range of CG projects, which allowed me to dream even bigger about my future.
While researching different CG academies, I came across SF Film School through online research and recommendations from friends, and I felt it offered the program that suited me best. One of the reasons I chose it was its long history of 24 years, which made me feel that it could help me move closer to my goals more effectively compared to other schools. Through in-depth consultations, I learned more about the school’s curriculum, values, and various programs and equipment. I felt that if I became a student there, I would be motivated to work harder and achieve strong results through dedication and persistence.
At first, I applied with both excitement and nervousness because I felt I was taking another important step toward my future goals, and I knew the small-class environment meant a long-term commitment to learning. However, because I enjoy meeting different people and would have the opportunity to learn the programs I have always wanted to study, I also felt a great sense of excitement about being accepted.
I enjoy learning from my weaknesses and improving areas where I still have room to grow. I want to meet many different people, share thoughts and experiences while working toward future goals, and continue learning and improving together through effort and growth.
Choi Ju Eun
"I will be a student who never gives up, even when I have shortcomings."
was first introduced to the field of visual graphics through my university classes, and I especially found Maya both challenging and enjoyable. At first, it felt difficult, but as I became more familiar with the software and gradually completed my projects, I began to experience both interest and a sense of accomplishment.
After graduation, I tried to continue learning on my own, but I encountered many limitations. That experience became an important reason why I decided to pursue this field more seriously.
When I received counseling at SF Film School, I felt that its level of professionalism stood out compared to other academies. Hearing realistic insights that I had not previously known, along with the curriculum designed around those realities, made me feel that this school had its own unique strengths. I chose this school because I felt that I would be able to make significant progress here and move closer toward employment opportunities.
When I heard the news that I had been accepted, I remember feeling a mixture of excitement, nervousness, and the feeling that this was the beginning of something important. Since I made a major decision in applying, I will give it my all. Even if I have shortcomings, I will continue moving forward and become a student who never gives up.
Han Hye Rang
"I want to create the 3D animation I have always admired and succeed in finding a job overseas."
Growing up watching Disney and Pixar animations, I naturally developed an interest in 3D animation. Through that interest, I learned that Maya was one of the key programs used in the field. However, after graduating from high school, I kept putting off learning it because I felt that it might already be too late to start something completely new.
Recently, while struggling with decisions about my future career path, I was reminded of the interests I had when I was younger. That experience eventually led me to develop a goal of becoming a 3D animator and ultimately pursuing employment opportunities overseas.
As I searched for academies where I could learn 3D animation in order to achieve that goal, I discovered SF Film School through a search online. After viewing the student portfolios on the school’s website, I felt that I would be able to learn the kind of 3D animation I had always wanted to create, which led me to decide to apply. I also felt a strong sense of trust in the school because of its focus on overseas employment opportunities.
Over the past few years, including my time at university, I spent a great deal of time thinking about my future and career path. I was disappointed to realize that the major I once believed would suit me well ultimately did not match my interests and goals. I spent nearly two years feeling uncertain and searching for what I truly wanted to do and what I wanted to learn professionally.
Personally, I believe that one of the most important factors when choosing a career path is genuine interest. For me, the greatest interest has always been the 3D animation that I have loved since childhood. One of my strengths is that I complete the responsibilities given to me with sincerity and dedication. By learning Maya from skilled instructors here, I hope that one day I can create the kind of 3D animation I have always admired and ultimately achieve my dream of working overseas.
Kang Ga Young
"For the first time, planning my future career path felt exciting and something I truly looked forward to."
I have always approached learning with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. Up until now, I had lived without any particular hobbies or strong interests and simply thought that because I had studied art, I should naturally pursue a design major. However, earlier this year, I began seriously thinking about what I truly wanted to do and spent time searching for an answer. While reflecting on the moments when I felt the most enjoyment, I finally discovered a field that I genuinely wanted to pursue for the first time.
After that realization, planning my future career path for the first time became exciting and something I truly looked forward to.
While looking through various student projects in the VFX field, the work created by SF Film School stood out to me the most and immediately caught my attention, which made me want to learn more about the school. During the interview process, I personally felt a clear difference compared to other academies. Many places seemed focused on quickly attracting students and moving directly toward enrollment, but SF Film School instead focused on discussing my future goals and the direction I wanted to pursue without pressuring me into making a decision. That experience gave me a much stronger sense of trust and confidence.
It was an interview that made me feel certain I could genuinely trust and learn from the school.
I felt excited at the thought of being accepted and having the opportunity to study this field in a professional environment. I will continue with the same mindset I had when I first applied and remain dedicated throughout the program until graduation. Whenever there is something I do not fully understand, I will not hesitate to ask questions and will actively participate in class with sincerity and effort.
