Kim Ye Jin
"I became confident that this would be the place where I could grow my abilities the most."
I have consistently been interested in the field of video and visual media, and because I wanted to become someone who contributes to one part of the production process, I chose to major in a field related to media and film at university. Until then, visual graphics had always seemed fascinating to me, but also distant and difficult to approach. I believed that creating work in that field with my own hands was something beyond my abilities.
However, about six months ago, I watched the music video for ** by aespa. Seeing the way live-action footage and 3D art blended together to create a grand and fantasy-like atmosphere made me realize that this was exactly the type of visual work I had always wanted to create. At that moment, I became determined to create work like that myself one day.
I researched and compared not only this school but also many other VFX academies. However, I personally felt that many of the others lacked a sense of depth and seriousness. I understand that personal effort is the most important factor in growth, but I felt that some places would not be able to fully support that effort or provide a strong sense of responsibility toward their students.
Then I came across SF Film School’s website, and I was immediately overwhelmed—in a positive way—by the amount of information and resources available. Looking through the many student reviews and achievements, I strongly felt that this was not simply an academy, but a place that genuinely cared about each student and worked hard to help them reach their full potential. Because of that, I became confident that SF Film School would be the place where I could grow my abilities the most.
When I first applied, my mindset was simply, “Let me try and see where this takes me.” However, after going through the first and second interviews and eventually becoming a final accepted student, I now feel a much stronger sense of responsibility and determination. Moving forward, I want to give my best in every class, continue working hard until the end, and do everything I can to achieve the best possible results.
Kim Yun Ji
"I felt that the school respects each student's individuality and unique style."
I have loved games and movies since I was young because I was deeply moved by the stories, characters, and environments within them. Because of that passion, I decided to pursue art and entered an art-related field of study.
When I was in high school, I became interested in the unique atmosphere and simplicity often found in Japanese art and culture, which led me to begin preparing for Japanese art school entrance exams later than most people. Since I had limited time, I had to learn Japanese while also preparing for art examinations at the same time. Looking back, I think that period was one of the times in my life when I worked harder than ever before in order to achieve everything within a short amount of time.
However, once I entered university, I realized that the experience was more relaxed than I had expected, and I was not able to learn many of the technical skills I had hoped for. Since I am still only in my first year of university, I am not yet completely sure whether I am more interested in games or in film and visual media. However, I felt that I could not properly decide on my future path without first experiencing and learning 3D work. Rather than spending more time worrying, I thought it would be better to put effort into learning first.
That is why I decided to apply to SF Film School. I felt that the curriculum and facilities were well organized and structured, and after looking at the portfolios, I felt that the school was not simply teaching technical skills but also respected each student’s individuality and artistic style. The facilities also seemed to provide everything needed to fully focus on learning, which became another reason for my decision.
Since I have been given this opportunity, I want to work even harder and learn as much as I can. Since I have never experienced 3D modeling before, I am a little worried that I may fall behind. I would truly appreciate patient and thoughtful guidance as I continue learning.
Kim Ji Young
"I will work hard, learn as much as I can, and create great animations."
I have always loved the fantasy genre, but while working with live-action film, I felt there were many limitations when trying to bring imaginative ideas to life. In contrast, I became fascinated by 3D animation because it offers the freedom to create almost anything without those limitations. I found that the process of directing and creating animation itself felt more enjoyable and exciting to me.
Because of that, I wanted to study this field in greater depth. While researching different academies, I discovered SF Film School.
One of the most important factors for me when choosing a school was the quality of the portfolios. I looked through the student projects created at SF Film School, and compared to other academies, I felt the quality was noticeably stronger, which became a major reason for my decision. I also liked the fact that the school selects a small number of students who fit the program well, because I believed that would allow for more personalized guidance and closer learning opportunities with instructors.
When I applied to the school, I experienced a feeling that I had not felt in a long time—the excitement and nervous anticipation that comes when beginning something I truly enjoy and want to learn. I felt my passion and motivation return strongly.
And when I received the acceptance news, that excitement did not fade at all. Instead, it felt even stronger than before.
From now on, I will continue learning with dedication at SF Film School and work hard to create animations that I can be proud of.
No Won Jung
"I want to work hard and create opportunities for myself through challenges."
I studied abroad during middle school and later attended university in Korea, but I still do not feel completely accustomed to life here yet. However, just as I chose to study abroad because I wanted to experience different perspectives and learn new things, I also want to continue gaining diverse knowledge and experiences in Korea. Because of that mindset, I believe I can approach this educational program with enthusiasm and participate more actively than anyone else.
I feel that being given the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience through this program could become an important turning point in my life.
I chose SF Film School because it felt more like a school than a typical academy. Since I have experienced studying abroad, I felt that SF Film School would give me the opportunity to experience a different educational environment and learning process in Korea, which made it especially appealing to me.
At the time of applying, I felt honored to have the opportunity to take classes that I had wanted for a long time. Although I have not yet started the program, I hope that after going through the interview process and joining the January course, I will be able to grow and improve significantly.
Moving forward, if I am given challenges or assignments, I want to approach every opportunity with effort and determination. I will continue doing my best to challenge myself and work hard to achieve greater growth and meaningful results.
Park Su Ah
"I want to establish myself as a content creator with a creative vision."
I have had a strong interest in animation and films since I was young. In particular, I came to realize how important visual elements are in the animation production process, which naturally led me toward the field of visual graphics. While majoring in Computer Science at university, I gained a deeper understanding of the possibilities and applications of graphic technologies. I was especially drawn to the fact that this field allows both creativity and technical skills to be expressed at the same time, which ultimately led me to pursue it.
I believe this field is an ideal choice for me because it constantly presents new challenges while satisfying my passion and curiosity. I want to grow into a visual graphics professional and stand out within the animation and film industries. In the long term, my goal is to work at a global company such as Disney and create meaningful works that can inspire and move people. I also want to contribute to developing new methods of content creation through the combination of technology and art. Furthermore, I hope that one day I can become a mentor who inspires future generations and establish myself as a content creator with a creative vision.
My strong interest in 3D modeling led me to discover SF Film School. I was particularly impressed by the school’s various achievements and its structured educational system, which naturally encouraged me to apply. Compared to other academies, I found it especially appealing that the school not only focuses on classes but also provides personalized support for each student’s growth and development.
At the time of applying, I felt both excitement and anticipation. I had some doubts about whether I would be accepted, but my desire to seize the opportunity was even stronger. When I heard the news of my acceptance, I felt an indescribable sense of pride and gratitude. Now, I am filled with excitement for this new beginning and a strong determination to move forward toward my goals.
Employment is my ultimate objective, and I especially hope to join a company like Pearl Abyss and turn my dreams into reality. I will continue learning and growing through SF Film School and work hard until the very end so that I can confidently achieve my goal of joining the company I aspire to work for.
Sin Hee Rin
"My goal is to grow by developing the skills needed in the professional industry."
Since my mother works in the design field, I had always thought about pursuing design from a young age. Compared to 2D animation, I was more drawn to 3D animation because of its realistic expression and visual depth. I also became increasingly interested after seeing how 3D elements were used in idol music videos and various artworks.
While searching online for Maya and 3D-related academies, I discovered SF Film School. I also discussed different options with my parents because I wanted to find a place that felt more structured and professional. After looking through the school’s website, I was impressed by its small class sizes and detailed curriculum, which ultimately became the reasons why I chose it.
During the consultation, I received a detailed explanation of the curriculum, and it made me realize how much there still was for me to learn about 3D software and production processes. Looking at the work created by students at SF Film School also made me think, “I want to create work like that myself someday.”
Because I had never properly worked with 3D programs before, I had many concerns and worries. However, hearing that the classes begin from the fundamentals and are taught step by step in small groups with other beginners made me feel that I should focus on working hard rather than feeling intimidated.
Since I have decided to seriously pursue this path, I made a commitment to myself that I will not give up and will continue working hard until I complete the curriculum and achieve my goal of employment.
Although I have been interested in this field for a long time, this is my first time learning it in a serious and structured way, so I feel both excited and nervous. My goal is to steadily build a strong foundation, create projects using the skills I learn, and continue growing by developing the abilities needed in a professional environment.
I will do my best in every class and dedicate myself fully to learning.
Jung Chae Won
"My personal value is: 'Even if I move slowly, I want to move with certainty.'"
While I was on a working holiday in Australia, I met someone who was working in the VFX industry. Listening to the way they spoke with pride and passion about their work naturally sparked my interest in the field, which led me to research it further on my own.
I had always wanted to work in the film and media industry, but I realized that roles requiring leadership and directing entire teams did not align with my personality or interests. As I explored different career paths, I felt that the graphics field suited me much better. After spending a long time thinking about whether I should pursue this field, I finally made the decision to move forward with it.
I expected that SF Film School would provide practical skills that could be applied directly in the industry. After visiting the school and receiving consultations along with an introduction to the facilities, I became confident that it could fulfill the expectations I had. The school’s detailed consultation and interview process further strengthened my confidence in this decision.
Since this was a decision I made after a long period of consideration, I want to do my best through every stage of the process and ultimately achieve the employment results I hope for.
One of the values that guides the way I live is: “Even if I move slowly, I want to move with certainty.” Because of this, I sometimes take longer than others when making decisions and beginning something new. However, once I make a decision, I tend to approach it with commitment and persistence rather than looking for shortcuts or easy solutions. I prefer to build a strong foundation and see things through to the end.
I also recognize that when the outcome of something feels uncertain, I sometimes become anxious and my motivation can weaken, especially when studying one subject over a long period of time. I would sincerely appreciate support and guidance to help me continue moving forward without giving up. In return, I will dedicate myself fully and do my very best throughout the learning process ahead.
Ha Ji Hyun
"I will work hard and learn so that I can pursue a career that truly excites me."
After watching movies, I often found myself still thinking about them and searching for related videos. While watching behind-the-scenes content that showed the difference between scenes before and after CG was applied, I became fascinated by the process of creating something from nothing. That experience naturally sparked my interest in the field.
I was also drawn to the idea of taking an imaginary world that exists only in someone's mind and turning it into something people can actually see. I wanted to create something that could provide visual enjoyment and leave an impression on others.
While searching for places where I could learn CG, I came across SF Film School and chose it because it seemed structured and professional. As I explored the website and looked through student projects, I thought to myself that it would be incredible if I could create work like that one day.
When I applied, I felt a sense of excitement because I thought that perhaps I, too, could someday pursue a career that genuinely makes my heart race with passion and excitement. As an accepted student, I felt happy that I would finally be able to study a field that I had always been interested in, and it felt like I had taken an important step forward from where I currently stood.
I enjoy games and often watch cinematic videos related to games as well. While thinking about what kind of work I could continue doing even during difficult moments, I eventually found myself standing here today. Although this field is completely new to me and I still have a lot to learn, I believe that if I build my skills properly from the beginning and learn step by step in a structured way, I too can eventually pursue work that genuinely excites and inspires me.
I will continue learning with dedication so that I can achieve that goal.
Han Min Ji
"I am always ready to give and receive feedback on projects with everyone."
I had the opportunity to take a hand-drawn animation class at school, and I realized that I enjoyed it much more than I had expected and that it suited me well. Since I already enjoy animation, webtoons, and games in my daily life, I naturally have many ideas for characters and stories in my mind, as well as a wide range of works that I can use as references and inspiration.
Through that experience, I decided to pursue a career in animation and the game industry. As I learned more about how the field is divided into different specialties through academy consultations and online research, I came to believe that modeling would suit me best because one of my strengths is paying close attention to detail and creating detailed visual expressions. That led me to choose the field of 3D modeling.
The hand-drawn animation class was especially meaningful to me because it became the starting point that led me to decide on this career path. During the class, I found it fascinating to learn about animation techniques, movement principles, and the use of frames. I particularly enjoyed creating animation while thinking carefully about a character’s movement frame by frame, and I felt confident in that process.
I have received consultations from five different academies, including SF Film School. When I first visited SF Film School, my immediate impression was that it was a place truly specialized in this field. As I continued through the consultation and explored the building, that first impression became even stronger. The various figures displayed throughout the building, the dual-monitor setups on each floor, the spacious environment, areas where students could rest, vending machines, and the professional facilities designed to support focused learning all stood out to me.
What impressed me most was the fact that students could ask questions to all instructors, the open communication between students and teachers, and the availability of various free special lectures. Those aspects felt particularly attractive and became major reasons why I decided to choose this school.
I am always ready to share ideas and exchange feedback on projects with others. If there are areas where my work can improve, I would truly appreciate honest feedback at any time.
Nam Seung Oh
"I will continue giving my best until the very end."
After deciding to stop pursuing cooking as my career path, I began searching for a new direction for my future. During that process, I started paying more attention to fields connected to the things I have always enjoyed, such as movies, dramas, and games. As I looked into careers involved in all three areas, I discovered the field of visual graphics.
I felt that with the growth of OTT platforms and the expanding media industry, the demand for visual graphics work would continue increasing and create many opportunities. More importantly, I wanted to work in a field connected to something I genuinely enjoy, which became the reason I chose visual graphics.
After deciding to pursue this path, I researched and compared several academies. Looking through different portfolios, I felt that the work created at SF Film School stood out clearly, even from the perspective of someone without prior experience in the field. I also noticed that the range of genres was very diverse. Seeing portfolios covering areas such as characters, effects, and game cinematics made me feel that this would be a good place for me to learn and grow.
Since I am coming from a cooking background, I understand that this field may feel unfamiliar and challenging at times. However, I consider perseverance and persistence to be among my strengths, and I am not someone who gives up easily. Because of that, I will continue working hard and do everything I can to successfully build a career in this field.
I feel that I can fully focus on this new path, and because of that, I am determined to continue giving my best until the very end.
Ahn Hae Soo
"I will go beyond my limits and create new possibilities."
While studying the field of visual graphics at university, I naturally came to understand that Visual Graphic includes many different specialized areas. I have always enjoyed watching movies, especially science fiction films, and I have always been fascinated by their visual effects. Over time, I began to want to create those kinds of effects myself.
I chose SF Film School because of its student portfolios and its 24-year history, which made me feel that I could create stronger results here compared to other academies. During my visit and consultation, my first thought was that I would truly need to prepare myself mentally and work very hard. Seeing the professional equipment and the wide range of references available made me realize how serious and dedicated I would need to be.
When I applied, I also heard many discouraging comments from people around me, such as, “The film industry wears people out. You will not last long,” or “I worked in the film industry for twenty years—rather than pursuing this, you should take over your family business instead.” Even after hearing those things, I still decided to apply.
Before attending the consultation and interview, I even thought to myself that if things did not go well, I might have to give up on chasing my dreams and instead choose a more practical path focused only on financial stability and the family business. I wondered whether I would stop being the person who challenges dreams and become someone who simply follows reality.
However, becoming an accepted student and being given the opportunity to pursue my dream has made me incredibly happy. I know that challenging myself in a completely new field will not be easy, but I do not want to fail because of fear or regret.
I believe that challenges are the starting point of growth. I will continue pushing beyond my limits and create new possibilities for myself.
Shin Min Kyu
"My goal is to create work that can inspire others and have a positive impact on them."
I have always wanted to pursue a career in 3D overseas. Since I have spent a significant amount of time living abroad and feel comfortable communicating with people from different backgrounds, I became very interested in SF Film School because of its strong focus on supporting international employment opportunities.
I also looked into other academies, such as CGni and EnjoyCG, which also offered employment-focused curricula. However, after seeing SF Film School’s strong track record and achievements, I ultimately decided that it was the right choice for me.
My first impression of the school was very strong. Rather than feeling like a typical local academy, seeing an entire building dedicated to the school immediately gave me the impression that it had a high level of competitiveness and expertise. I was also impressed by the details inside the school, such as the RoboCop figure displayed at the entrance and the Iron Man figure in the consultation room. Those details gave me the feeling that the school genuinely respects students’ dreams and passion.
The most memorable feature for me was the motion capture equipment installed on the basement floor. Simply knowing that SF Film School had access to motion capture equipment immediately sparked a great deal of excitement and interest for me.
Because SF Film School aligns closely with my goal of working overseas, has a strong reputation and proven results, and provides access to advanced resources such as motion capture equipment, I decided that this was the right place for me.
I believe this school will give me the opportunity not only to strengthen my understanding of the production pipeline but also to build and develop my own professional identity while preparing for employment opportunities.
I am confident in my ability to approach 3D work with efficiency and dedication, and I want to achieve that goal through my experience at SF Film School.
Woo Doe Hwi
"I will become a student you can be proud of and feel rewarded teaching."
I have worked in photo retouching using Photoshop, making one-on-one adjustments and edits for clients. While doing this work, there were many situations where I needed to engage in small talk, and at times I felt that it interrupted my concentration. Through that experience, I realized that I achieve greater satisfaction and produce better results when I can fully focus on a task rather than constantly communicating while working.
For that reason, I began thinking about changing my career path, and during that process I became interested in 3D modeling. That eventually led me to discover SF Film School.
As I explored the school’s website and carefully read through the organized information, I could feel a strong sense of professionalism. In particular, when I looked at the students’ work, I could clearly see the tremendous effort and dedication put in by both the students and instructors. Seeing that made me feel confident that I also wanted to become a student here and challenge myself in this field.
I am truly grateful to have been accepted, and I was happy to know that I could continue moving toward the goals and plans I had originally set for myself. Before starting classes, I plan to prepare myself steadily by continuing to study English and improve my artistic skills. I also hope to obtain internationally recognized certifications that may support my future career opportunities and help me become even more dedicated in my studies.
At this point, I am entering this field with very little technical knowledge and mainly with passion and determination. I understand that there may be moments when I take longer to understand concepts during class, which could sometimes feel frustrating. However, I will not lose confidence or become discouraged. I will continue working hard, show constant improvement, and put forth my best effort.
I will do everything I can to become a student you can be proud of and someone who makes teaching feel rewarding.
Jeon In Seo
"I hope the day comes when I can overcome my own limits."
I still vividly remember watching Avengers: Age of Ultron and Avatar when I was nine years old. Even though the characters and worlds in those films did not exist in reality, they felt so real that, for the time I was watching, I felt completely immersed—as if I had become one of the characters within the story itself.
As someone who had a vivid imagination from a young age, visual graphics felt almost like magic to me. As I continued watching and discovering more films like these, I began to think about creating experiences for audiences myself someday. I wanted to create films so realistic and immersive that people watching in theaters would become fully absorbed in them and forget the line between reality and imagination. That desire became the reason I dreamed of becoming a VFX designer.
I had actually known about SF Film School since my first year of high school through online searches and YouTube recommendations, and I had kept it in the back of my mind ever since. Through this opportunity, I found myself searching for it again.
When I first discovered SF Film School in high school, it honestly felt like an ideal place for me. The environment offered everything I wanted to learn, and I was amazed by the quality of student portfolios, the employment results both in Korea and internationally, and the achievements in competitions and awards. I remember being surprised that a school in Korea could provide such strong instructors and facilities.
Now, after looking into it again, I feel that the school has grown even further while still maintaining the same strengths that impressed me years ago. Because of that, I strongly felt that if I were given the opportunity to study here, I would truly be able to pursue my dream. I also gained confidence that learning in this environment could help me achieve the goals I have for myself.
When I first applied, I felt a mixture of excitement and nervousness. But after becoming an accepted student, I now feel mostly excitement as I imagine the journey ahead and everything I will have the chance to learn.
Moving forward, I want to do my best while studying at SF Film School and enjoy learning together with my instructors and fellow students. I sincerely hope that through this experience, the day will come when I can go beyond my own limits.
Oh Tae Kyoung
"I will become someone who keeps moving forward."
I believe that people learn and grow greatly through what they see and experience visually. To me, movies and animation have always been more than entertainment—they have provided lessons, inspiration, and a foundation for personal growth.
When I was younger, I did not even realize that there were careers connected to creating these kinds of visual experiences. As I grew older, I began wondering what kinds of professions could communicate ideas and emotions visually, and that was when I discovered the field of visual design.
I originally considered studying in this field at university, but before even giving myself the chance to try, I became overwhelmed by thoughts such as, “Will it be too difficult?” or “Will I be good enough?” Those doubts caused me to give up before taking the first step. Instead, I chose another path and tried studying a different field, but eventually realized that it was not the right fit for me either. Looking back, I think I spent a long time feeling uncertain and lost.
Recently, however, those interests and thoughts that had been buried for a long time came back to me. This time, I wanted to approach things differently and seriously focus on studying visual design with the goal of building a future and finding employment in a field that genuinely interests me.
Just as visual media has given me inspiration and support throughout my life, I also want to create work that can visually communicate something meaningful and perhaps give others even a small amount of inspiration or help. That became one of the reasons I chose this path.
When I applied, I felt both excitement and anxiety. I wondered whether attending this school would truly help me achieve meaningful results, while at the same time worrying about what would happen if I was not accepted.
After being accepted, I felt some fear and uncertainty about whether I would be able to keep up. However, I also felt hope because I now had the opportunity to study at a school that I genuinely wanted to attend. I thought to myself that if I had been given this opportunity, I should give it everything I have.
I believe that meaningful results can only be achieved when every step forward is taken with effort and commitment. By studying at SF Film School, I want to learn practical skills, make them truly my own, and use them to build a successful career and future for myself.
I know there will be difficult moments along the way, and there may even be times when I question whether I should continue. However, just as each step of a staircase is necessary to reach the next level, I will continue moving forward without giving up.
Through constant effort and persistence, I will become someone who continues moving toward a brighter future.
Jeon Hyung Gi
"Stay hungry. Stay foolish"
One of the major visions I have for my life is to visually express the identity and personality that exist within me in the most meaningful way possible. I want people to see my work, think about it, connect with it, and experience enjoyment through it.
While searching online for an academy that could teach 3D tools at a high level, I discovered SF Film School. I felt that SF Film School was one of the strongest institutions both domestically and internationally, and since my hometown is Busan, I decided to choose the Busan campus of SF Film School.
My first impression of the school was that it had achieved many accomplishments and had a strong history of developing talented artists and professionals. Looking through the impressive videos and projects created by students, I remember thinking, “I want to become part of that group of talented people someday.”
One phrase that has had a meaningful impact on me is “Stay hungry. Stay foolish,” a well-known message from Steve Jobs’s graduation speech. To me, that message means continuing to seek knowledge, remaining passionate, and moving forward with persistence.
I always strive to maintain a desire to learn something new and continue growing into a better version of myself than I was yesterday. That mindset is something I want to carry with me as I continue learning and moving toward my goals.
Jung Su Jin
"I want to become a recognized and respected professional in this field."
I have always admired high-quality visual effects and graphics in films. Ever since elementary school, I have loved animation and movies. However, I never truly spent time thinking deeply about what I genuinely wanted to do. As I continued working through difficult jobs and experiences, I eventually realized that I wanted to find something I truly enjoyed, even if it meant starting later than expected. That journey led me to discover the field of visual graphics.
When I was in middle school, I even dreamed of becoming a comic artist at Marvel. Looking back now, I feel that I have finally chosen to pursue something that I had always wanted to learn at least once in my life.
Since I am beginning this journey at the age of 27, which personally feels late to me, I wanted to be thoughtful about where I invested my time and effort. I did not want to spend my time and resources without confidence in the path I was choosing. Through recommendations from people I knew, I was introduced to SF Film School by a developer who had graduated from the program.
My first feeling after deciding to pursue this path was not excitement alone, but also a vague sense of fear and uncertainty. I wondered whether I would truly be able to do well in this field. Even with those concerns, I want to learn Maya as thoroughly and efficiently as possible and absorb as much knowledge as I can.
My immediate goal is to develop my skills to the point where I can confidently enter a company and begin my career. Beyond that, now that I have chosen to learn and commit myself to this field, I personally want to grow further and become a recognized and respected professional someday.
Hong Dae Hee
"I will work hard to build the skills needed to create projects on my own."
I have loved games since I was young and spent a lot of time playing many different kinds of games. While I knew that movies and animated works go through a production process before being released, I suddenly became curious about how games are created. As I researched more, I came across videos showing the development process behind characters and environments in League of Legends by Riot Games.
Watching that process left a strong impression on me. I learned how developers first discuss ideas together, create stories and personalities for characters, decide on their appearance, clothing, weapons, and the world they live in, and carefully establish every detail before beginning the design process. After that, concept art is created, and different developers contribute in their respective roles by modeling characters in 3D, creating materials, animating them, and ultimately bringing them to life. Seeing something emerge from nothing through the collaboration of creativity and technical skills felt incredibly fascinating and inspiring to me.
Because of that experience, I started wanting to create my own characters and environments someday. I also felt that relying only on drawing skills might be difficult in the long term, which eventually led me to discover SF Film School.
I felt that the school matched my goals because it offered the opportunity to learn the strengths and uses of various 3D tools such as Maya and ZBrush while also allowing me to create the kinds of projects I personally want to make. I felt that if I missed this opportunity, I would regret it greatly.
Thankfully, I was accepted, and now my thoughts are focused on following the instructors’ curriculum sincerely and doing my best toward creating the work I truly want to make.
Even if I cannot create my ideal project within six months using only my current abilities, I want to continue building my skills and learning as much as possible during that time. I will work hard to build a strong foundation so that in the future I can not only complete my own projects but also have the ability and confidence to create work independently.
Kang Sung Yeon
"I will learn with passion and make the most of every moment without wasting time."
I first became interested in 3D modeling after seeing work created with ZBrush. That experience made me curious about other programs used in the industry, and while researching further, I learned that Maya is widely used in the field. After that, I began looking into various academies.
Among them, SF Film School left the strongest impression on me because of its facilities and overall scale compared to other places I researched. I was also impressed by the high quality of the graduates’ portfolios, and I felt that I would be able to receive a great deal of support and guidance there, which ultimately became the reason I chose the school.
I hope to participate in various competitions and gain as much experience as possible. While learning, my interests and preferred areas may evolve over time, but at the moment my goal is to work at a company related to the film industry.
At first, I was worried about whether I would be able to do well, but I want to challenge myself and work hard to achieve this new goal. I understand that beginning something new can be difficult, but I want to continue moving forward with determination.
I will learn with passion, make full use of my time, and dedicate myself fully to improving and growing.

"I hope to successfully complete the program and achieve meaningful results."
By watching movies, I gradually developed a growing curiosity about the continuous advancement of CG technology. In addition, because sculpting with clay has been one of my hobbies, I naturally became interested in 3D modeling as well. I believe this decision came from more than simply admiring movies and animation—it came from the thought, “I want to try creating something like this myself.”
I decided to choose SF Film School after looking through student projects and paying attention to the upload dates of videos on YouTube. I believed that the quality of students’ work reflects the quality of education itself. I was also encouraged by the fact that content was still being updated consistently, which gave me the impression that the school had active operations and a strong community environment.
During the first consultation, I was especially impressed that the discussion focused less on simply explaining the curriculum and more on understanding my personal goals and circumstances. I also appreciated that my questions were welcomed and answered throughout the conversation.
Since I had previously only attended regular academies rather than a school that selects applicants through an interview process, I found that aspect particularly interesting. It gave me the feeling that the school genuinely cares about the quality of education and the people entering the program.
I also feel that the other applicants likely share similar interests, motivations, and goals. Because of that, I hope we can all encourage and support one another, successfully complete the educational process together, and achieve meaningful results in the end.
