SFFS CANADA CAMPUS

SFFSLAB, Canada branch, is located in Vancouver. Vancouver is the rising heart of the CG & VFX industry. There are a lot of respetable international VFX studios, such as Industrial Light & Magtic, Sony Pictures Imageworks, MPC, Scanline VFX, Digital Domain, Method Studios, Zion Studios in Vancouver. The city is full of Hollywood movie filming sites and 3D animation studios. Because of this abundance of film studios, Vancouver is known as the second Hollywood in North America.

PRODUCTION

Students in SFFSLAB work with international industry professionals to plan and produce their own film project.
At the end of the production, they have an opportunity to submit their work to international film festivals all across North America. Through the process of self-production within the academy, SFFSLAB teaches students the constantly evolving Hollywood CG & VFX technology in real-time. Likewise, the academy is putting a lot of efforts to make our students not just be recognized in local companies, but also in global ones.

ACTIVITIES

SFFSLAB supports students in every step of the job recruitment in North America. Our academy regularly participates in globally recognized international industry job fairs to directly link our graduates job placement by showcasing and sending their portfolios and demo-reels to companies. We also participate in annual Siggraph conference to link our students to Hollywood job recruiters.

SF Film School achieved 1st place in the global school evaluation for 3 consecutive years in the 2021, 2022, and 2023 world competitions, and achieved 3rd place in the global school evaluation in 2024, and 1st place in Asia, including Korea, for 4 consecutive years.
While this is a great achievement in itself, our Academy will continue to work hard with our students to continue to be number one in the world.. Multiple international awards under the name of the SF Film School have proved that the quality of our work and public confidence of our academy is not only recognized in Korea, but in the whole world. One of our students recently won first place in the Chaosgroup rendering challenge, but our academy will always look forward and work hard to achieve higher accomplishment.

A lot of local companies in South Korea also offer frequent scouting to our students because they recognize high-quality professional portfolios that our students create in our programme. We recognize a rising demand of international job employment within our students. Therefore, we annually select excellent students and connect them to the Vancouver branch in Canada so that they can connect to job fairs and job recruiters in North America.
