Student's Message

Although I had already been working with 3D software before joining the course, I would like to thank the instructors for helping me further develop my skills and become a more capable and professional artist.

I also greatly appreciated the instructors’ passion and dedication. Their attention to detail and commitment to guiding students carefully throughout the learning process made the experience even more valuable and rewarding.

Thank you for all the support and guidance.

Instructor's Message

It's actually quite common for professionals who already work with other 3D software to enroll because they want to learn Maya as well. Of course, even experienced artists sometimes find Maya unfamiliar and challenging at first! 😄

So there's no need to worry. As long as you continue reviewing and practicing consistently, your skills will improve dramatically over time.

Now that you've moved on to the portfolio program, it's time to keep that momentum going. Stay focused, work hard, and let's get that portfolio completed as quickly and successfully as possible!

You worked hard throughout the course—great job, and best of luck with everything ahead! 😊💪

Park Sin-hyeong

Student's Message

At first, my goal was simply to understand how to use the software and its tools. However, as the classes progressed, I found myself learning much more than just technical skills. I began to think more broadly about the creative process itself—from important considerations to keep in mind while working to how to make decisions when faced with multiple possible approaches.

The course taught me not only how to use Maya, but also many practical tips, workflows, and artistic instincts that are valuable in real production environments. Being able to learn those insights made studying the software much more engaging and enjoyable.

As I finish the course, one thing I’ve realized is just how much there is still left to learn. Even so, just as I did throughout this Maya class, I plan to keep moving forward step by step without giving up, no matter how challenging things become.

Instructor's Message

Sinhyeong, great job completing the course! 😊

I know it hasn't been easy balancing your studies at school while also making time to learn and practice Maya. Finding enough time to invest in both can be challenging.

Fortunately, you'll continue working with Maya at school, which is a huge advantage. With software like this, consistency is important—sometimes even a month or two without using it can make you forget a lot of what you've learned!

I hope you successfully complete your graduation project and, if possible, use it as a stepping stone toward achieving employment opportunities after graduation. You have a solid foundation to build on, so keep developing your skills and making the most of every opportunity.

For now, focus on finishing your remaining classes successfully, and hopefully our paths will cross again in the future.

You worked hard throughout the course, and I wish you the very best moving forward! 😊✨

Student's Message

I wanted to learn CG tools, and while I had tried studying on my own through YouTube videos and online tutorials, I personally found that learning directly from an instructor was far more effective and rewarding.

The classes helped me understand concepts much more clearly, and I was able to learn far more than I could through self-study alone. Most importantly, the course changed the way I viewed CG software. What once seemed overwhelmingly difficult became much more approachable and enjoyable to learn.

I’m grateful for the experience and everything I was able to gain throughout the course.

Instructor's Message

Wonsik, thank you for all your hard work throughout the course!

Hearing that you learned so much from the classes makes me very proud as an instructor. 😊

One thing that stood out about you was your curiosity and willingness to understand the reasoning behind things. You were always interested in asking "why" rather than simply memorizing steps, and that inquisitive attitude helped you make excellent use of the concepts once you understood them.

I also still remember the unique storyboard concept you presented during the storyboard presentation. It was creative and distinctive enough that I think it will stay in my memory for a long time.

I hope you continue approaching your studies with the same curiosity and passion. Finish the remaining courses successfully, keep developing your skills, and create an outstanding project that you can be proud of.

You worked very hard throughout the program, and I wish you the very best moving forward. Great job, and good luck! 😊✨

Student's Message

Before joining the academy, I had already used Maya, but I often found myself wondering where to begin and what I should study first. There were so many different areas to learn that it was difficult to figure out a clear path on my own.

However, once I started attending classes and followed the structured curriculum step by step, learning became much more manageable and efficient. Being able to progress through each topic in a logical order helped me understand the software more clearly and build my skills with confidence.

I’m truly grateful for the guidance and support throughout the course. Thank you very much!

Instructor's Message

Gimin, thank you for all your hard work throughout the course!

You always approached class with enthusiasm, listened attentively, and consistently put effort into your assignments. One thing that stood out most was your curiosity—you were always eager to understand more, ask questions, and explore concepts in greater depth. It was wonderful to see that kind of passion for learning.

I genuinely believe that if you continue working with the same level of dedication and curiosity, you have all the potential to become an outstanding CG artist.

You still have the ZBrush course ahead of you, so I hope you continue studying with the same energy and create some amazing work along the way.

I’ll always be cheering you on and wishing you success in everything you do. Keep up the great work! 😊✨

Min Kyoung-hwan

Student's Message

Before enrolling in the course, I had spent a lot of time researching 3D on my own. However, with so many unfamiliar terms, technical concepts, and countless features, it was extremely difficult to know where to begin or how to properly use Maya.

Through the Maya course, I was able to learn the essential tools and functions step by step while also gaining an understanding of Maya’s overall workflow. Beyond Maya itself, I was introduced to various industry-standard programs such as ZBrush and Substance 3D, and learned how they fit into the production pipeline. I also had the opportunity to learn about topics ranging from creating HDR images to understanding how motion capture works. Looking back, it’s honestly hard to believe how much knowledge and experience I was able to gain throughout the course.

One of the most rewarding aspects of the program was completing assignments and receiving detailed feedback from the instructor. Through that process, I could clearly see my own growth, which gave me a great sense of accomplishment and motivation.

In fact, there is so much valuable information packed into the curriculum that simply reviewing everything I have learned already feels like a major task. Because of that, I truly believe this course offers a learning experience that is difficult to compare with others.

I would also like to thank the instructor for bringing energy and enthusiasm to the classroom and creating an encouraging atmosphere that motivated everyone to keep moving forward together.

Using everything I have learned here as a foundation, I will continue working hard in the portfolio program and do my best to achieve great results. Thank you again for all your guidance and support! 😊

Instructor's Message

Gyeonghwan, you worked incredibly hard throughout the course!

One thing I’ll always remember is your dedication—whether it was maintaining excellent attendance or continuing to put in effort even during late hours. Your commitment and work ethic really stood out.

As important as this course has been, I want you to remember that this is only the beginning. From this point forward, think of it as the real start of your journey. Hold on to the same mindset and determination that brought you this far, and continue giving your best effort no matter what challenges come your way.

Most importantly, don’t lose the passion and motivation that you started with. Continue pushing yourself to improve, not only while building your portfolio but also after you begin your professional career.

I hope you continue striving toward your goals with the same dedication and perseverance you've shown throughout this course. Keep working hard, keep growing, and make your dreams a reality.

You’ve done a fantastic job so far—keep it up, and fighting! 💪😊✨

Although I already had some experience with modeling before taking the Maya course, the more classes I attended, the more convinced I became that enrolling was the right decision.

The course helped me build a solid foundation from the ground up and taught me many important concepts that I likely would have overlooked if I had continued studying on my own. Before taking the course, I was simply able to create models, but now I have a much deeper understanding of how to construct and organize an entire scene, allowing me to approach my work with greater confidence and purpose.

Thank you for all the guidance and support throughout the course. I look forward to continuing my journey and seeing you again soon in the portfolio class!

Instructor's Message

Hajeong, congratulations on completing the course, and thank you for all your hard work!

If you continue nurturing the same passion and curiosity for CG that you've shown so far, I have no doubt that you'll become an excellent artist. I'll continue doing my best to support and guide you along the way.

Before joining the portfolio class, I encourage you to revisit and review what you've learned during the Maya course. Strengthening that foundation will help you develop your skills even further and turn them into an outstanding portfolio piece.

I'll always be cheering you on. Thank you, and I look forward to seeing your future work! 😊✨

Student's Message

When I first started learning Maya, even becoming familiar with a single tool felt difficult and overwhelming. Everything was new to me, and I had absolutely no background knowledge in 3D graphics. I began this journey with little more than curiosity and a vague interest in the field.

Looking back now, I am happy to see how much my skills have improved. Whenever I encountered obstacles or became confused, my instructor was always willing to answer my questions with patience and kindness. The supportive and comfortable learning environment made it much easier to stay motivated and continue learning.

At the beginning, I often wondered whether I would ever be able to create impressive projects like the ones I saw from other students. As I continued practicing and gaining experience, however, I gradually reached a point where I could create projects on my own, and that has been an incredibly rewarding feeling.

I would also like to thank the senior students who always approached me first, made me feel welcome, and treated me with kindness. Their encouragement helped make the experience even more enjoyable.

Using everything I have learned throughout this course, I hope to continue improving, growing, and developing into a better artist in the future.

I hope that after graduation, you'll be able to take the personal projects you've created here and use them to achieve your goal of joining the company you want. It would be wonderful to see you succeed and proudly show your accomplishments to your friends.

Keep working hard, continue building your skills, and make the most of the remaining classes. I'm confident that your dedication will continue to pay off as you move forward.

Good luck with the rest of your studies, and let's keep pushing forward together. Fighting! 😊💪

Sunbin, I still vividly remember seeing you sitting in an empty classroom studying on your own from the very first day you came to learn Maya. It’s hard to believe that the course has already come to an end—it feels like time passed so quickly, and honestly, it’s a little bittersweet.

You consistently kept up with the lessons and submitted your assignments diligently, which always left a positive impression on me. I really appreciated your dedication and effort throughout the course.

One thing I do regret is that you were usually seated quite far away, so I wasn't able to check in with you as often as I would have liked! 😊

That said, you’ll soon be moving on to the portfolio program after completing the remaining classes, and I’ll have more opportunities to support and guide you there. So don’t worry—we’re not quite done yet!

Most importantly, I hope your journey continues smoothly from here, all the way through building your portfolio and ultimately achieving your goal of employment in the field.

The Maya course at SF Film School provided a comprehensive understanding of the software through a detailed and well-structured curriculum. One of the most valuable aspects of the program was being able to immediately practice what we learned in class, which made it much easier to understand and become comfortable with the software.

Whenever there was something I didn’t understand, the instructor always took the time to explain it thoroughly. The assignments were also designed to encourage us to apply and expand upon what we learned in class, which helped improve our skills significantly.

I also enjoyed experiences beyond the regular curriculum, such as the motion capture classes. In addition, I believe the academy’s excellent facilities are one of the things that set it apart from other schools.

I would especially like to thank the instructor for consistently providing recordings of every class. Being able to review the lessons at home helped me catch anything I may have missed during class and allowed me to keep up with the course successfully. Reviewing the recordings before class also helped me prepare questions in advance.

Beyond the course material itself, I’m grateful that the instructor was always willing to answer questions about career paths and other concerns as well. Thank you for all the support, guidance, and encouragement throughout this journey!

Instructor's Message

Sooyoung, great job and congratulations on completing the course! 😊

You always worried so much that sometimes I felt like I was worrying on your behalf! 😆 But despite all those concerns, you worked hard and made it all the way to the finish line, and I’m really proud of you for that.

The good news is that you still have plenty of time ahead of you. Try not to spend too much energy worrying about the future. In many cases, those worries come from feeling unprepared or thinking that you're lacking something. And if that’s the case, the solution is simple—keep learning, keep improving, and continue filling those gaps little by little.

The more effort you put into developing your skills and preparing yourself, the smaller those worries will become. Confidence comes from preparation, and you've already taken an important step by building a strong foundation.

So keep working hard, continue giving your best effort, and stay focused on your goals. I believe that if you do, you'll achieve the results you're hoping for.

Keep pushing forward until the very end, create an outstanding portfolio, and let's make your dream of landing a great job a reality. Fighting! 💪😊✨

I enrolled in the academy because I had a general interest in 3D and wanted to learn more about the field. As I progressed through the program, I was able to gain a clearer understanding of which area of CG might suit me best, which was one of the most valuable aspects of the experience.

The lessons were taught at a comfortable pace, with concepts explained step by step. I especially appreciated that the classes never felt rushed. If the material had moved too quickly, I would have spent a lot of time trying to catch up, but the instructors maintained a pace that made it easy to follow and fully understand each topic.

One of the most rewarding parts of the journey has been seeing myself gradually become capable of creating the kinds of images and projects I once only imagined making. The creative process itself has become incredibly enjoyable. Even when I stay up late working on projects and feel tired, seeing the final result come together gives me a great sense of accomplishment and satisfaction.

Overall, it has been a meaningful and inspiring experience that has strengthened my passion for CG and 3D art.
