Gatien Becker

My name is Gatien Becker.I am from France, and I studied film for five years at Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris.My previous studies were mostly theoretical, and I decided to come to SF Film School to learn 3D production on a technical level.A Korean friend introduced me to SF Film School, and after researching and doing an interview, I decided to join.The videos I saw on their Vimeo and YouTube channels inspired me and strengthened my motivation and passion to study there.

I am currently taking the Special Effects program at SF Film School, and I have completed an exciting After Effects course.Along with learning After Effects, I am also studying Maya.Now, six months into the program, I feel that Maya suits me the best.In the future, I would like to become a teacher myself and guide other students.

What I like most about the classes is that there are always teachers nearby who can answer any questions I have.During my five years at university, that was something I always missed — but at SF Film School, the instructors not only give us individual attention but also allow time for independent learning.The teachers not only teach during class but also assign many research-based projects and exercises.

The study method and vision of SF Film School are very innovative.Even if students don’t fully understand something, the school provides ways to follow along and improve.While showing editing and VFX-related videos, they encourage us to think about the worlds we want to create.I believe 3D gives us endless creative possibilities.
