Meet Our Accepted Students
“Looking at the portfolio, I realized that I could learn what I wanted at this academy…”
Woo Hee Jin

The reason I chose SF Film School is because I thought it was the only VFX school in Korea. Most other schools focus on teaching tools and have students follow the book. I also attended MAX School for two months last summer, and learned tools by following examples. The original plan was to learn about character mapping and animation in the curriculum, but I couldn’t learn modeling properly. That school advertised itself as MAX School, but I couldn’t learn what I wanted there. Then I found out about SF Film School. I had heard the name of the school a lot, but I found out about it through a blog. While I was viewing works at CGland, I was amazed by a work I saw, and when I went to that person’s blog, I found out that he was a student at SF Film School. I also went to a blog where students from the school signed up to receive advice, and I saw the students’ works. It was a blog where students who were still learning received advice from their teachers, and to me, it seemed like a video made by experts. So I went to the website and looked at the portfolios of the students and thought that I could learn what I wanted at this school. My first impression of SF Film School was that it felt professional. If other schools felt light, SF Film School felt solid and professional. When I read the writings of the students, I could feel their passion for doing this work, and I also felt that they had the same thoughts as me when I read the writings. I want to learn all the various fields of VFX. My hope is that you will share a lot of know-how and help me build my skills. I plan to use SF Film School as a stepping stone to achieve my dream. Please take good care of me.
