When I first started learning Maya, I heard a lot that it was difficult, so I was really worried. But I felt that it was a more fun program than I thought. It's complicated, but once you make something, you feel a sense of accomplishment, so I'm also looking forward to what I'll be making once I get better at it. I feel like it gives me more of a challenging spirit compared to when I do other 3D programs. So I think I really did well by learning it. I think I made the right choice in choosing this field for now. I don't know how it will be later though haha. And I think the teacher explaining it comfortably and well also played a big part. I was really grateful for the way you tried to make me understand. Even if I move up to the portfolio class, you said I can comfortably ask you anything, so just hearing that makes me feel very reassured! Thank you so much for teaching me well!
Instructor's Message
Seojin, you've worked really hard!! It's nice that there's voice support in the course review haha. Thank you for always bringing bright energy during the last classes and raising the mood of the class! Thanks to you, I think I was also able to teach comfortably!! I hope you can make good use of what you've studied so far in your personal works moving forward, and I hope you become a cool artist who continues to improve your skills!! Fighting with the remaining classes, and see you in the portfolio class~!

This was my very first experience learning 3D, and I was introduced to it through this academy. At the beginning, I was worried that it would be difficult to keep up with the classes and that the assignments might be too challenging. However, thanks to the instructors’ clear explanations and their willingness to answer questions patiently, I was able to overcome those concerns and learn a great deal throughout the course.
The seminars held throughout the program also complemented the regular classes well, creating a valuable learning experience and helping me gain a broader understanding of the industry. In addition, the cohort-based learning environment allowed classmates to support one another and fill in each other's gaps in knowledge, which made the experience even more rewarding.
Overall, it was a meaningful and enjoyable journey, and I am grateful for everything I learned along the way.

Starting out in 3D can be challenging since it’s a field with a fairly steep learning curve, so I’m sure the beginning wasn’t easy for you. However, what stood out most was the passion and enthusiasm you brought to every class.
Because of that dedication, you were able to successfully complete the curriculum and continue growing throughout the program. As long as you keep asking questions, stay curious, and never stop trying to solve problems on your own, I truly believe you can become an excellent artist.
Thank you for all of your hard work and perseverance. Keep learning, keep creating, and keep moving forward with the same passion you've shown so far. I’ll be cheering you on as you continue your journey in the CG industry!
Great job, and best of luck in the future! 😊🚀✨

Rather than simply learning technical skills, I felt that I was gaining knowledge on how to live and work in the CG industry as a whole. Through this course, I had the opportunity to explore various aspects of the CG field in depth.
In addition to regular classes, the seminars provided valuable insights into industry trends and different career paths I could pursue. The graduate interviews also helped me better understand the kinds of challenges I may face in the future and offered useful advice and perspectives.
I also appreciated that the course followed a structured curriculum, and the fundamental concepts and tools were explained in a clear and approachable way.
Through the foundation and experience I gained at SF Film School, I feel I have developed the motivation to continue studying CG on my own moving forward.
Instructor's Message
Sinyul, thank you for your hard work throughout the course!
I’m glad to hear that you were able to learn so much through both the classes and the special lectures. However, what you’ve learned so far is still the foundation needed to create a portfolio. I hope you continue to grow step by step from here.
Keep building your knowledge steadily, and don’t forget the passion you have right now. Please make good use of everything you’ve learned so far and work toward creating an impressive final piece.

My university major is completely unrelated to this field, and the only computer programs I had ever really used were things like Word and Excel. Because of that, I was very worried about whether I would be able to keep up. However, the course did a great job of building a strong foundation from the very beginning, which helped me gain confidence as I learned.
What impressed me the most was the dedication of the instructors. Whenever I got stuck while practicing on my own and asked a question, they would respond quickly and thoughtfully, whether it was late in the evening or even on weekends. Their passion and commitment to helping students truly inspired me.
Although my portfolio journey is only just beginning, I feel confident about the road ahead. Between the industry seminars led by overseas professionals, the tutorials for various software tools, the extensive learning resources provided by the academy, and the constant support from the instructors, I believe that anyone who puts in the effort can achieve great results.
I’m incredibly grateful for everything I’ve learned so far, and I look forward to continuing to grow and develop my skills through the portfolio program.

Yugyeong, our student full of passion and enthusiasm! 😊
You’re the type of person who learns ten things from being taught just one. Honestly, when I first saw how hard you were working, I was actually a little worried! I kept thinking, “What if she burns herself out later?” 😂
As it turns out, that concern was completely unnecessary.
Throughout the entire course, you maintained the same level of enthusiasm, dedication, and commitment from beginning to end. Watching you consistently approach every lesson with such energy and determination was incredibly reassuring and impressive.
You still have a long journey ahead of you, but if you continue with the same mindset and work ethic you've shown so far, I'm confident you'll achieve excellent results. Keep giving your best effort, continue learning, and create an amazing portfolio that truly reflects your potential.
I’m looking forward to seeing what you accomplish next.
Keep up the great work, and let’s make something incredible together. Fighting! 😊💪

When I first saw works made with Maya, I honestly felt overwhelmed and wondered how something like that could even be created. However, as I gradually learned Maya step by step, I started to understand how those works were likely made, which made me feel very proud.
While working on modeling, I was able to exchange ideas with classmates and the instructor, and I learned that there are often easier or different approaches to the same task, which was very helpful.
I do regret not reviewing more thoroughly, but I want to work harder on Maya and other subjects I will learn in the future so that I can create better works.
Instructor's Message
Da-young, you did well! It’s already time for the course to end and for you to be writing your review~
I think your strength is that you are very careful and thoughtful. I’ve often seen you think deeply before starting anything, which is a very good trait. It helps prevent mistakes and having to redo work later.
However, one concern is that because of this, you sometimes take too long to start or move forward, which can slow you down. That’s something you’ll need to improve over time. Still, if you continue step by step like you are now, you will eventually be able to work both accurately and much faster.
You did a great job, and let’s keep doing our best until the end!

The curriculum was very well structured, allowing me to learn everything from the fundamentals to more advanced techniques in a clear and organized way. The instructors were always kind, supportive, and thorough in their explanations, which made the learning process much easier and more enjoyable.
Another aspect I really appreciated was the regular seminars held two or three times each month. Through these sessions, I was able to explore a variety of tools and topics beyond Maya, such as Unreal Engine and ZBrush, which greatly broadened my understanding of the CG industry and helped me develop a more well-rounded skill set.
In addition, the instructors frequently shared useful tips, tutorials, and reference materials outside of class. Thanks to their recommendations, I was able to access a wide range of valuable resources without having to spend hours searching for them on my own.
Overall, the program provided not only excellent instruction but also countless opportunities to continue learning and growing as an artist.
Instructor's Message
Thank you for your dedication and for consistently keeping up with the course throughout the program.
I’m glad to hear that the special lectures and seminars were helpful to you. The knowledge and insights gained from those sessions will undoubtedly be valuable as you continue developing your skills and creating future projects. Exposure to a variety of tools, workflows, and industry perspectives can make a significant difference in your growth as an artist.
As you move forward, I encourage you to continue learning, exploring new ideas, and studying the work of others. The more you observe, practice, and challenge yourself, the more your skills will improve.
I’ll be cheering you on as you continue your journey and work toward creating outstanding portfolio pieces and projects. Keep up the great work, stay passionate, and never stop learning.
Wishing you all the best in your future endeavors—fighting! 😊🚀✨

When I first started learning Maya, I had only used Photoshop and Illustrator before, so this complex program felt very unfamiliar and intimidating. I kept wondering if I would really be able to do it, but I decided to start with the mindset of “I chose this path, so I’ll see it through to the end.”
Once the classes began, I realized that what I initially thought was “just one program—why does it take so long to learn?” actually made sense, and I even felt like there wasn’t enough time.
During the course, there were moments when I couldn’t keep up and felt overwhelmed, but there were also parts that I found interesting and felt confident in. What was surprising is that time passed very quickly, and by the final month, I found myself studying and looking things up much more actively than at the beginning.
I do regret that my interest came a bit late during the course, but because of that, I think I’ll be able to enjoy working on my portfolio more.
I’m truly grateful to the instructor for always keeping the classes enjoyable so that we wouldn’t lose interest, and also to my classmates for helping each other throughout the course.
Instructor's Message
Wow, Maya is already over!! You did well throughout the course~
It must have been hard for everyone in the evening class, especially being tired after the day, so I’m really glad you were able to finish it until the end. Focusing during late-night classes is not easy at all.
But you all worked hard for your dream and invested your time into studying, so make sure to keep pushing until the very end!
Of course, the portfolio stage will be even harder than class—you’ll need personal study, review, and you’ll face many new challenges. Don’t overthink things alone; getting help from people around you is also a good option.
Now portfolio work is the real field test. It will require even more effort than before. You’ve done well so far, but there are still many things to improve, so don’t give up—just keep doing your best until the end. Fighting!

Starting from the very basics of Maya, this program has been an incredibly meaningful and valuable experience for me. Throughout the curriculum, I gained a deeper understanding of many different aspects of the CG industry, which helped me identify the field I want to pursue, the skills I need to improve, and the direction I should take with my projects and storyboards.
One of the most helpful experiences was the storyboard presentation and feedback sessions. Whenever there were concepts or comments that I didn’t fully understand, the instructor took the time to explain them in greater detail and in a way that was much easier to grasp. That guidance helped me better understand both my work and the creative process as a whole.
I also benefited greatly from the information shared through the academy’s online community and the various seminars offered throughout the program. The practical tips, workflow advice, industry knowledge, and problem-solving techniques provided valuable insights into how to improve my work and overcome challenges more effectively.
I’m truly grateful for all of the support, guidance, and resources that helped me grow throughout this journey.
Instructor's Message
Haeni,
Most people start their CG journey without knowing exactly which specialization suits them best or which area they want to pursue—and that’s completely normal! 😊
That’s why I’m especially happy to hear that, after completing the program, you’ve gained a clearer sense of direction and decided on the path you want to follow. Discovering that direction is an important achievement in itself.
You already have a strong artistic sense and a solid foundation of skills. If you continue refining your abilities, practicing consistently, and building on what you've learned, I truly believe you have the potential to achieve great success in the industry.
I hope you continue growing your portfolio and developing your talents, and I’d love to see you one day join a major VFX studio and achieve the goals you’ve set for yourself.
Thank you for all of your hard work throughout the program. Keep believing in yourself, keep creating, and keep moving forward. I’ll be cheering you on every step of the way! 🚀✨😊

Studying Maya was a valuable experience that allowed me to learn a wide variety of skills and concepts throughout the course. One thing I especially appreciated was the way the classes were structured. Just as I started to feel challenged by one topic, we would move on to something new, which kept the lessons engaging and prevented them from becoming repetitive.
The instructor provided excellent guidance throughout the program, making even difficult concepts easier to understand. Thanks to their support and teaching style, I was able to enjoy the learning process without feeling overwhelmed, and the entire experience was both productive and enjoyable.
I’m grateful for everything I learned during the course and for the encouragement I received along the way.

Subin,
There were times when personal circumstances made it difficult for you to attend every class, but what impressed me most was your determination to make up for anything you missed through your own effort and dedication.
That kind of responsibility and commitment is an important quality for any artist, and it showed in the way you approached your studies throughout the program. You already have strong fundamental skills, so I’m confident that you have great potential moving forward.
I hope you’re able to wrap up your current responsibilities smoothly, focus on the remaining classes, and continue building your skills. Most importantly, I hope you create some outstanding portfolio pieces that truly showcase your talent and hard work.
Thank you for all your effort throughout the course. Keep moving forward, stay motivated, and I’ll be cheering you on every step of the way.
Best of luck, and keep up the great work! 🚀✨😊

I started with a vague idea that I should learn 3D tools and jumped in blindly like heading straight into a wall. As expected, nothing was easy at first and I wasn’t familiar with the tools. However, even when my progress was slow and I asked the same questions multiple times, the teacher kindly taught me, so I think I was able to learn well. Also, all the extra advice you gave me beyond the curriculum, trying to teach me one more thing, was truly touching. I’m very disappointed that I couldn’t attend the offline classes toward the end of the regular course, but someday I want to complete a great portfolio too. Thank you so much for everything.
Instructor's Message
Since Maya isn’t an easy tool, it must have been really difficult at the beginning! Other students also find it hard, so you don’t need to worry too much! Still, I could see that you worked hard and followed along well~ Since review is important, keep doing well and create a wonderful portfolio exactly as Jihye wants, and get that job! Fighting!!

I can’t believe the course has already ended…
It was quite hectic as I was attending school at the same time during the COVID period, but I was still able to enjoy learning.
Because many of the classes were taken online, I didn’t get many chances to meet my 438th cohort classmates in person, which was a bit disappointing.
After deciding to pursue a career in CG, I had many questions and concerns while studying Maya, but I am very grateful that the instructor kindly guided me through them.
Based on what I learned, I will continue studying and create many good scenes in the future.
Although it may be difficult for everyone to meet often after the course due to different schedules, I hope we can still gather sometimes to talk about CG and enjoy our time together. 438th cohort, fighting!
Instructor's Message
Yeyun, thank you so much for keeping up with the course!
You followed along very well and were a great example to your classmates, so I truly appreciate it.
I’m really looking forward to what you will create if you continue learning and producing work at this pace.
It would be great if you continue developing your artistic vision and try many different projects.
If you ever have questions or need feedback, feel free to reach out anytime. Let’s keep fighting—congratulations on completing the course!

It was an honor to learn my first 3D software under your guidance. The course structure, centered around a robot project while also covering modeling through animation, helped maintain a high level of focus and interest throughout the class.
I truly appreciate how you always responded kindly to questions and taught with great passion. I will continue to review and practice everything I’ve learned from you and prepare for my portfolio. Thank you so much.

Ha-eun, I’m glad to hear that you enjoyed the class and stayed engaged throughout the course. Thank you for keeping up well and participating actively in every session.
I hope you continue to maintain the curiosity and passion you showed during class, and keep developing a mindset of exploration. Please carry everything you’ve learned into your own work and turn it into a complete project.
I’ll continue to support you as much as I can until you get there. Take care of your health, and thank you again!

As I finish the Maya class, I still remember the first day when I launched Maya and started learning shortcuts—it feels like it was just yesterday, but now the course is already over, and time has passed so quickly.
At first, while doing modeling, it felt amazing and exciting to see that I was actually creating something like this. Later, while learning lighting and animation, I realized there are so many small details that need attention. Instead of feeling overwhelmed, it made me think more about how to make things look more natural and made me want to study even more.
I also really enjoyed the moments when I followed the instructor’s guidance and saw my work turn out the way I intended—it felt very rewarding.
I did attend more online classes than in-person ones, which I feel a bit sorry about, but thanks to the instructor’s excellent teaching, I was able to truly understand and enjoy Maya. Thank you.
Instructor's Message
Yujin, you attended in person well at the beginning, but due to personal circumstances you had to switch to online classes in the middle, which was a bit disappointing.
Still, contrary to my concerns, you did your best even in online classes, so I’m relieved.
However, as expected, in-person classes do make a big difference in focus and learning efficiency.
For your next courses, please try to attend consistently, and from there go straight through the portfolio process without long breaks.
You’ve been consistent throughout the curriculum, so if you keep making small but steady progress with discipline and commitment, you’ll look back later and see a huge improvement.
I’m really looking forward to seeing your portfolio. Thank you for your hard work!

I had always been interested in CG, but I started with almost no fundamental knowledge and only a vague idea of what the field involved. Because of that, the beginning was quite challenging, and there were many moments when I felt overwhelmed.
However, thanks to the academy’s well-structured curriculum and the guidance of the instructors, I can now look back after completing the program and see how much both my skills and confidence have improved. The progress I've made compared to when I first started is something I’m genuinely proud of.
I also asked a lot of questions throughout the course, and the instructors were always willing to help and provide detailed explanations. Their patience and support played a huge role in my growth and made it possible for me to keep moving forward whenever I encountered difficulties.
Building on everything I learned during the program, I plan to continue practicing, studying, and developing my skills so that I can create the strongest portfolio possible in the future.
Thank you very much for all of your guidance, encouragement, and support!
Instructor's Message
You worked incredibly hard throughout the entire program. 😊
I’m truly grateful that you showed up consistently, gave your best effort every day, and stayed committed to the course from beginning to end. I know there were many difficult moments along the way and plenty of challenges to overcome, but you never stopped trying to improve, and that dedication was always clear to see.
The reason I was so eager to help was because I could see how hard you were working and how much you genuinely wanted to learn. Hearing that you feel you've grown significantly makes me incredibly proud as an instructor.
As you move into portfolio production, remember that you're not doing it alone. I’ll continue to support you whenever you need help. You've already built a solid foundation in everything from modeling to texturing, and because you've worked so hard to develop those skills, I'm confident you'll be able to create excellent portfolio pieces without feeling overwhelmed.
Although the Maya program has come to an end, your learning journey is far from over. There are still many exciting things ahead for you to discover and master.
Keep practicing, stay curious, and continue pushing yourself to improve. Let’s work toward completing an outstanding portfolio together.
You’ve come a long way already—now keep going and finish strong. Fighting! 🚀✨😊

While learning C4D at school, I realized I wanted to properly study Maya.
It felt overwhelming at first, but through SF Film School I was able to systematically learn each part step by step, which was very helpful.
There were many unexpected issues that I don’t think I could have solved on my own if I were studying alone, but the instructors guided me well, which I really appreciated.
I was also able to experience commonly used plugins, which was great.
Through this curriculum, my motivation and enthusiasm for Maya increased significantly.
Thank you to the instructors and my classmates.
Instructor's Message
Ilgwon, it was quite a journey!
Even though Maya is a difficult program, you followed along well throughout the course—thank you.
There were easy parts and difficult parts, but you kept pushing through.
I think you’ll grow even more if you constantly challenge yourself and push your limits.
Don’t give up just because something doesn’t work after a few tries—real learning comes from struggling through it yourself.
Still, you were very consistent—no absences, no lateness, and very responsible throughout the course. That’s truly impressive.
The regular curriculum has ended, but this is just the beginning.
Please make sure to review your notes and continue practicing.
I’m looking forward to seeing a portfolio project from you that feels like a cinematic story. Great job finishing the course!

I completed both the Maya and ZBrush courses. During this long training period, I learned both programs, but the amount of content was so vast that I often wished we had more time.
Every part and function was explained kindly and in detail, and beyond just how to use the tools, I was able to understand the principles behind how they work.
I also remember how the instructor occasionally shared fun examples and comments, which helped ease the tension during long classes.
Thank you for the great course.

It really feels like time passed in the blink of an eye. I enjoyed learning modeling from the very beginning. When working on clean topology and edge flow, it was difficult, but through the process of trying to understand it, I feel that I was able to grow a lot.
I can’t yet say that I’m fully confident in Maya, but I feel that if I spend more time with it while working on my portfolio, I will eventually be able to say that I’m confident in using it.
There is still time before starting my portfolio, and I plan to review what I’ve learned step by step to keep my skills from getting rusty. I feel both relieved and a little sad that I’ve completed one stage toward my dream, but it has also made me determined to work even harder going forward.
Instructor's Message
Eunji, good job~ It’s not easy to balance school, part-time work, and classes while managing your time like that, but you still pushed through until the end. Well done.
I also remember that your understanding skills were good, which made it easier for me to explain things to you.
One thing to keep in mind is that if you stop using the software, you can easily forget it. So you should keep doing small tasks consistently. For example, like the room project you did before, try modeling small objects one by one. That will definitely help you later.

I have used other 3D programs before, but this was my first time using Maya, so during the first month I struggled quite a bit and it took some time to adjust.
However, as I progressed through the later part of the curriculum, I started to feel that I had become more familiar with it.
Since I was also attending school at the same time, I couldn’t do much additional work outside of class and assignments, so I feel like I still need more practice. I also still have other classes and portfolio preparation ahead, so I don’t feel completely relieved yet.
Still, I feel like I’ve successfully passed the starting stage, which is a relief. I will continue to work hard in the upcoming courses.

When I first started looking into CG academies, I was worried about whether I would be able to keep up with the coursework. Everything felt unfamiliar, and I spent a lot of time thinking about whether I was making the right decision. Looking back now, I can confidently say that choosing SF Film School was one of the best decisions I could have made.
The curriculum was extremely well-structured and organized, allowing students to build their skills step by step. In addition, all of the instructors were incredibly kind and supportive, which made even the more difficult concepts much easier to understand. Whenever I encountered something challenging, there was always someone willing to help and provide clear explanations.
Because of this supportive environment, I was able to gain a much stronger understanding of CG and develop confidence in my abilities throughout the course.
As I move forward, I plan to dedicate myself fully to completing my portfolio and continuing to improve my skills. I am sincerely grateful for everything I learned and for all the support I received along the way.
Thank you very much!

Our lovable and occasionally absent-minded Nayeong! 😊
When you first joined the class, you were very quiet and didn't say much, so I worried that you might be shy or hesitant to interact with others. However, as time went on, I discovered a completely different side of your personality.
Behind that quiet first impression was someone who was easygoing, cheerful, and full of unexpected charm. Once I got to know you better, I felt much more at ease, and it was always enjoyable seeing your personality shine through during class.
Now that the coursework is coming to an end and you're preparing to focus on your portfolio, I think it's time to put a little extra energy into your studies and concentrate fully on your goals. You've already done well throughout the program, but I believe that if you push yourself just a little further, even better results will follow.
You have the ability to achieve great things, and the effort you've shown so far proves that. Continue building on the foundation you've created, stay focused on your objectives, and give your best effort until the very end.
I'm looking forward to seeing the work you'll create and the progress you'll make in the future. Keep believing in yourself, work hard, and make your dream a reality.
