Interview with Yeonah Lee

Hello, my name is Yeon-ah Lee, and I completed the VFX program.

I think understanding your own heart is often more difficult than understanding anyone else's. While working at a company, I found myself questioning my career path in a way I never even did as a high school senior. Then one day, I had a moment of clarity—it felt almost like certainty—that this was what I truly wanted to pursue. Since this field was completely different from the work I had been doing, I had no idea where to begin or how to take my first step. I joined SF Film School because I believed it would show me the right path.

As I completed the program and worked on my portfolio, I realized that, like any worthwhile career, VFX was far more challenging than I had first imagined. There were times when my progress was slower than I expected, and I experienced periods of frustration and self-doubt, just like many others.

During those difficult moments, having my fellow portfolio classmates at SF Film School by my side gave me the encouragement I needed to stay focused and keep moving forward. Looking back, overcoming those challenges only strengthened my conviction that this is the path I am meant to follow. That confidence has become the foundation that will help me overcome even greater challenges in the future.

I would like to sincerely thank all of my instructors and my classmates in the portfolio program for their guidance, support, and encouragement throughout this journey.
