System

SF film school is constantly building networks with numerous Hollywood directors and supervisors and is teaching students Hollywood technology and information obtained through the network with them.

We are doing our best to ensure that the quality of students' portfolios reaches the level of Hollywood,

and in fact, graduates of the school are employed at Hollywood studios.
In the future, SF Film School will do its best to become the world's best school by inviting famous domestic

and overseas Hollywood artists to the school and through technology seminars and networks

through a real-time online system to enhance students' technical skills and help them advance (get employed) in Korea and Hollywood.

WETA WORKSHOP

Concept Designer

Daniel Falconer, Concept Designer who worked on The Hobbot, Avatar, The Chronicles of Narnia, King Kong, and The Lord of the Rings series, visited Korea to give a seminar on Hollywood film production to our students and provided technical confirmation and advice to students who are currently preparing their portfolios.

PIXAR ANIMATION STUDIOS

Lighting T/D

Alfonso Capparini, a lighting technical supervisor at Pixar Animation Studios who worked on <Inside Out>, <Cars 2>, <Brave>, <Planet 51>, <Monster University>, and <Borough of Time>, visited the SF Film School to hold a seminar and provide technical support and mentoring for the students’ works. Capparini was impressed by the school’s education and production system and encouraged them to have the foundation and capabilities to get a job at a Hollywood company. He hopes to continue to work closely with the school to produce world-class works with students.

WETA WORKSHOP

Concept Designer

WETA Wortshop Ben Wootten, a concept designer who produced The Lord of the Rings series, KingKong, and The Chronicles of Naria, visited SF Film School to hold seminars, provide technical confirmation of student works, and provide mentoring. In particular, it was so enjoyable to be the only place in Asia that properly teaches the most important Digital Artwork, and he said that the basics are solid enough to be comparable to those of working professionals because there is education that fosters three-dimensional and formative sense. In the future, we look forward to working with students on world-class works through a close relationship with our school.

THE WALT DISNEY

Lighting / Compositing Artist

Dennis Mulle, Lighting and Compositing Artist at The Walt Disney Animation Studios who worked on Moana, Lion King, Aladdin, Starwars, Bumblebee, etc., gave an online seminar for SF Film School students.
He gave a lecture explaining the principles and methods of composing shots at major animation companies, how to compose layouts to create cool scenes, and rich and informative content related to color. DENNIS MULLE's lecture can be found through the SF School Special Seminar Program.

INDUSTRIAL LIGHT & MAGIC

VFX animator

Manolia Kulkoilu, a VFX animator who has worked on famous Hollywood films such as The Lion King, Maleficent, Queen of Villains, Cats, and Furious 9, held a special seminar for students at SF Film School. She provided detailed reviews and generous advice to students who are currently preparing their portfolios. The seminar focused on the technical aspects, checking the students’ work and providing technical advice from the perspective of a Hollywood practitioner to find ways to further develop the work.

TRIXTER STUDIOS

Head of FX

Martin Lapp, Head of FX, who worked on famous Hollywood films such as ALADDIN, SOLO-A STAR WARS STORY, BUMBLEBEE, ROBOCOP, and THOR: RAGNAROK at TRIXTER STUDIOS, held a special online seminar. He explained the FX part that he works on using Houdini. He shared advice and know-how on the process of working on VFX. It also consisted of a lecture on learning the basic knowledge for Houdini.
You can meet various special seminars like Martin Lapp through SF Film School in the future.

Compositor

Sebastlan Schutt, a compositor at Image Engine Design who has worked on many projects including Star Wars, Shang-Ch, Aquaman, Transformers, and The Jungle Book, held a seminar and portfolio technology confirmation for SF Film School students. Sebastian Schutt's seminar can be found through the SF Film School Special Seminar Program.

GUERRILLA GAMES

FX Technical Director

Coen Klasters, who is currently working as an FX Technical Director on famous Hollywood films such as The Avergers, Battleship, Avatar, and X-men, held a special seminar and technical confirmation for students at SF Film School. He gave generous advice to students during the confirmation and seminar.
After seeing our school’s demo reel and the students’ passion, Coen was so impressed that he visited our school and said that it was a great place. He commented that not only the students’ works but also the facilities and environment for education were impressive.
He plans to continue his close relationship with our school and looks forward to working with our students on world-class works in the future.

THE FOUNDRY

Nuke Head Specialist

The Foundry Nuke Head Specialist Nathalle Bergeron has held special seminars and technical confirmations for student works exclusively for SF Film School, and has also provided valuable advice to students.
As the Head Specialist (Worldwide) for Nuke, a globally used pool, she has played a major role in supporting the production of 2012, District 9, Transformer, G.l.Joe, and HALO 3.
SF Film School has been recognized worldwide and has been designated as the first NUKE World Authorized Training Center in Korea.
In the future, Nathalle Bergeron will serve as the Technical Advisor of our center, providing unsparing technical support, and we have decided to hold regular international seminars at our center.

SCANLINE VFX STUDIOS

Compositting Supervisor

Joe Farrell, who is currently working as a Compositing Supervisor for Hollywood films such as Transtormers, Spider Man, Battleship, 2012, and The Golden Compass, visited SF Film School to confirm the portfolio progress of our students and hold a special seminar. He personally confirmed the portfolios of our students for a long time and also passionately held a special seminar, making it a meaningful time. Thanks again to Jor Farrell.

PHENOM FILMS

FX Technical Director

There was a technical confirmation from Sam Khorshid, who participated as an Fx Technical Director in Hollywood films such as Iron Man, Hell Boy, Speed ​​Racer, and 2012. He was very impressed by the works of our students. He visited SF Film School in person to confirm the works of each student and gave technical advice, and showed his endless interest in our school. With the signature of "SF Film School is the best," Sam Khorshid decided to act as a technical advisor for SF Film School and help form a close network with Hollywood VEX & CG companies.

FX Technical Director

There was a special seminar and technical confirmation by Vladimir Lopatin, who worked as an FX Technical Director in Hollywood movies such as Wanted and the Killzone Series of games.
He was so impressed by the demo reel and the passion of the students at our school, and he visited a good school and left a message saying that the future of the students here is very bright. He was impressed by the excellent technical environment and education system that allows for the creation of a good portfolio.

FX Technical Director

NAM JI HYUN has worked as a Visual Effects Arist at famous Hollywood studios such as Sony Imageworks, Digital Domain, Walt Disney Animation Studio, and Rhytm & Hues. He also recently worked as a Senior FX TD on the Academy Award-winning "Life of Pi: Senior FX TD." He is currently working at BLZZARD in the US and is also engaged in educational activities. He is imparting Hollywood practical know-how on the Dynamic FX part to students at SF Film School.

ZOIC STUDIOS

Lighting Technical Director

Anthony Juno Han, who worked as a Lighting Technical Director on Hollywood films such as 2012, Alice in Wonderland, and The Mummy, is currently the VFX Supervisor at C2VFX. He was very impressed by our demo reel and the passion of our students, and was amazed by our system. He said that the student works were incredibly high quality and very impressive. He was generous with his teachings and left messages to his students to do their best and study hard. In addition, SF Film School decided to proceed with the partnership with C2VFX Studio.

Visual Effects Supervisor

Connor Meechan was a former VFx Supervisor at Ford Motor Company and is currently a Supervisor at C2VFX. He was impressed by the students’ works during the seminar and confirmation. He also said that he had to learn on his own because there was no VFX school, and that they were lucky to learn from a place like this, and he left a message of support for the students at our school. He saw the passion of the students at our school and was amazed that there is such a great VFX education institution in Korea. Our school will continue to maintain a close relationship with Connor and strive to help our students create world-class works.

3D Artist

CHRIS YOO has worked as a Visual 3D Arist at famous Hollywood studios such as Atmasphere VEX, Hydraufx, Stargate studic, Method Studio, and AnthemFx, and recently participated as a 3D Artist in the movie 'Hellion'.
He is currently working at SCANLINE VFX STUDIOS located in Vancouver, Canada.
In this seminar, he gave realistic advice on students' work confirmation and overseas employment preparation based on his experience.

PETER CHOI has a wealth of experience working in various fields such as Hollywood Movies, TV Dramas, and Games, and has been a Digital Painting & Compasite Artist for many years at Industrial Light & Magic (I.L.M), a famous Hollywood VFX company. In this seminar, he gave realistic advice to students who are making portfolios based on his experience and to students preparing for overseas employment.

3D Modeling & Texture Artist

BOBBY JEONG has a wealth of experience working in various fields such as Hollywood Movies, TV Dramas, and Games, and has worked as a 30 Modeling and Texture Artist for many years at Lucasfim Animation Studios, a famous Hollywood VFX company, and Industrial Light & Magic (ILM). He is currently working at Sony Pictures Imageworks, a famous Hollywood VFX company located in Vancouver, Canada. He shared his Hollywood practical know-how with students who are making portfolios at our institute and gave realistic advice to students preparing for overseas employment.

There was a seminar by DANIEL KIM, who is working as a Visual Composting Artist at famous Hollywood studios such as ScanlineyFX, Industrial Light & Magic, Digital Domain3.0, and MPC.
He is currently affiliated with ScanlineVex located in Vancouver, Canada.
He visited our center and gave realistic advice to students preparing for overseas employment on how to create portfolios and confirmed them.

MOVING PICTURES COMPANY

Effects Technical Director

There was a seminar by Gilnam Choi, who is working as a Ft Technical Director at Moving Pictures Company (Canade) and is active in the Hollywood film CG field. For the students of SF Films who are preparing for overseas employment, MPC, who is currently working, explained the company introduction and the CC production process of the Hollywood film he participated in, as well as the importance of the FX (Effects) part, which is the flower of the film CG field, and future development factors. It was a valuable time where we learned a lot about what our students should focus on when preparing for overseas employment. In addition, we learned about production know-how and technical aspects through the portfolio class confirmation. We plan to maintain our relationship with our school in the future and look forward to working with our students on world-class works.
