I enrolled in this academy rather quickly after deciding to study abroad. Having already worked professionally in the game industry, I became increasingly interested in film production as well and wanted to explore it more seriously before leaving for my studies overseas.
Looking back, it was a truly meaningful experience. Since many of my classmates were younger than I was, there were moments when I wondered if I had started this journey a little later than most. However, seeing how hard everyone worked was incredibly motivating, and I learned a great deal not only from the instructors but also from my fellow students.
The knowledge and skills I gained throughout the program have given me a stronger foundation, and I believe they will be extremely helpful as I adapt to life and continue my studies abroad. I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn in such a positive and inspiring environment.
Instructor's Message
You could really tell that you came into the program with substantial professional experience. It was impressive how quickly you understood new concepts and applied them in practice.
What stood out even more was your willingness to share your knowledge, experiences, and practical tips with your classmates. Your generosity and positive attitude made a meaningful contribution to the learning environment, and I’m sure your fellow students appreciated it as much as I did. 😊
I heard that you headed abroad for your studies shortly after completing the program, and I couldn’t be happier for you. I hope you continue to work hard, keep expanding your skills, and make the most of every opportunity that comes your way.
With your experience, dedication, and passion for learning, I truly believe you have the potential to achieve great things. I’ll be cheering you on as you continue your journey, and I hope to see you become an outstanding artist working on major international productions one day.
Best of luck with your studies abroad and your future career. Keep striving toward your goals—you've got a bright future ahead! 🚀✨😊

It still doesn’t feel real that the Maya course has already come to an end.
At the beginning, even learning simple shortcuts was difficult for me, but as the lessons continued, I could clearly feel my skills gradually improving, which was very rewarding.
While attending the academy, I was able to experience workflows that I had previously only seen on YouTube, and I felt myself getting closer to my dream little by little. Studying alongside classmates also helped me a lot—through their questions and the instructors’ detailed explanations, I was able to learn things I would not have thought of on my own.
Although I still need a lot of practice and experience, I no longer feel as anxious about the future as I did before. If I had to choose one meaningful experience from 2022, I would say it was attending this Maya course.
What I once thought would be a long six months passed by surprisingly quickly, and while I feel relieved, I also regret not having practiced even more.
I will continue practicing what I have learned and work hard to create a strong portfolio. Thank you to all the instructors and classmates who were part of this journey.
Instructor's Message
Good work, Gayoung. 😊
I was a little worried at first because you’re quite a quiet personality, but I’m really glad to see that you adapted well and steadily followed the course until the end.
If I had to point out one thing, it would be this: try to increase the time you spend reviewing and revisiting what you learned. Even a small amount of consistent review makes a big difference in how well things stay in your memory over time.
There are still more steps ahead, so don’t rush or feel pressured. Portfolio work especially takes time and persistence, so it’s important to pace yourself, stay consistent, and manage your energy well.
You’ve done a great job so far, and now it’s all about continuing that effort. Keep building on what you’ve learned, stay focused, and push through until the end.
Let’s finish strong—fighting! 🚀✨

The time I spent in this course felt both short and long, but it passed by quickly. I was fortunate to have a highly skilled instructor, but I still feel a great sense of regret that I couldn’t keep up with the pace of the classes as well as I wanted to.
During the early modeling classes, I studied with a lot of passion, but as the difficulty increased, I gradually became less motivated and more lazy, which I now see as my own shortcoming. Looking back, I feel regretful about losing my motivation and becoming passive.
Although I started with the vague goal of getting a job and building a portfolio, I was able to experience the joy of learning new things throughout the course. At times, I also faced great difficulties and moments where I wanted to give up.
Even though the time was not nearly enough to fully master all the functions of the software, and I feel overwhelmed with regret for not putting in enough effort, I have decided to gather my determination once again and take a step forward.
While everyone is working hard toward the same goal of employment and a strong portfolio, I plan to set my own goals and continue steadily filling in my 부족한 areas, even if progress is slow, without giving up.
I am grateful to the instructor who worked hard to teach us, and I hope all my classmates who struggled through the course achieve great results.
Instructor's Message
Dasom, good job~ Even though there were moments where you struggled, I’m relieved to see you writing this Maya review.
But remember—it’s not the end yet. The portfolio stage is still ahead!
One of your strengths is your effort and persistence. I really felt that when you came in for counseling. Even though things may feel difficult right now, I hope you don’t give up on your dream.
Also, try to give yourself some rest when needed. If you keep pushing without a break when things are hard, you might eventually burn out or break down. I know it’s not easy, but try to ease your mind a little and allow yourself some breathing room.
You’ve worked hard. Stay strong through the remaining process, and let’s make a great portfolio together. Fighting!

Before joining the academy, I had already learned a small amount of Maya, but going through the course again from the fundamentals helped me build a much more accurate and solid understanding.
The instructor explained everything clearly and kindly during class, and being able to practice at home based on what I learned helped reinforce my understanding through repetition. Whenever I encountered something I couldn’t figure out on my own, the instructor would immediately come over and guide me through it, which was extremely helpful.
Even when I struggled while working on assignments at home, I was able to resolve most issues by asking questions directly and receiving detailed, supportive feedback.
Overall, it was a very meaningful experience that allowed me to strengthen my foundation and improve steadily through both instruction and practice.
Instructor's Message
Good work, Seunghyun. 😊
At first, I thought it might be a bit difficult for you to adapt, especially as a high school student, but I think having a friend in the same cohort really helped you settle in well.
Since you already had a bit of prior experience with Maya, you were able to follow the lessons without too much difficulty, and you picked things up quickly, which made me feel confident about your progress.
You have a good ability to understand concepts, so I believe you’ll also do well when it comes to portfolio work. From here on, just keep learning steadily and continue building on what you’ve already started.
Focus on creating the kind of work you want to make, and don’t be afraid to challenge yourself along the way. I’ll always be here cheering you on.
You’ve got this—fighting! 🚀✨

Working in Maya felt a lot like assembling a puzzle of my own creation. Using various objects, tools, and techniques to gradually build something from nothing was a completely new experience for me, especially since my background had been focused primarily on 2D art.
The process of creating models, shaping environments, and eventually bringing them to life through animation was both fascinating and rewarding. I often found myself becoming so immersed in the work that I lost track of time. Discovering how ideas could evolve from simple concepts into moving, animated scenes made the learning experience even more exciting.
Another reason I was able to enjoy the course so much was the way my instructor guided us through each stage of the process. Every concept was explained clearly and patiently, making even unfamiliar topics easier to understand and helping me stay focused and engaged throughout the program.
I am sincerely grateful for all the time, effort, and encouragement that went into teaching me over the course of these months. Thank you for helping me take my first steps into the world of 3D and for making the experience such a memorable one.
Instructor's Message
Seoyeong, I truly believe that if you continue researching, learning new skills, and expanding your knowledge, you have the potential to become an exceptional artist in the future.
One of your strengths is your curiosity and willingness to explore different ideas. Artists who continuously develop themselves and seek new knowledge are often the ones who grow the fastest and achieve the most over time.
That said, I did occasionally notice moments when your motivation seemed to dip, especially when dealing with topics that weren't immediately interesting to you. Of course, that's something everyone experiences from time to time. Not every part of the learning process is equally exciting.
However, it's important to remember that every stage of the pipeline serves a purpose. Even the areas that may seem less interesting now can become valuable tools later when working on larger and more complex projects.
Because of that, I encourage you to continue reviewing the material from the regular classes and strengthening your understanding of the fundamentals. A strong foundation will make it much easier to build advanced skills in the future.
You've worked hard throughout the course, and I'm excited to see how your creativity and abilities continue to develop. Keep learning, keep creating, and keep challenging yourself.
Great job, and congratulations on completing the course! 😊👏

I feel like I met a great mentor, so I’m no longer afraid of the future.
During the course, there were parts that suited me well and parts that didn’t, but the instructor helped guide me in a way that kept my interest alive, allowing me to successfully complete the curriculum.
I was worried about whether I could study Maya while working full-time, and although I didn’t have much time, I still managed to make it work.
It still feels amazing that I can now handle a 3D program I had never touched before, and I feel proud of myself.
I would like to thank the instructor again, and also my classmates from cohort 436.

Taeyun, great job on finishing the course!
Even when learning just one function, I noticed you really tried to understand it deeply, and I thought you would definitely do well.
Seeing you balance work and childcare while studying really made me reflect on myself too—I thought, “I guess saying I don’t have time is just an excuse.”
Please make sure to review everything you learned during the Maya curriculum, and I’m really looking forward to the day you complete an amazing project and show it to me!

The course provided a well-structured learning experience, covering everything from the fundamentals of Maya to more advanced techniques step by step. Because of this approach, I believe that even complete beginners can achieve strong results as long as they are willing to put in the effort and maintain their passion for learning.
One of the most rewarding aspects of the program was learning how to create high-quality, realistic visuals through V-Ray rendering and Substance 3D Painter texturing. Being able to produce renders that closely resemble real-world imagery was an exciting experience and gave me a much deeper appreciation for the possibilities of CG production.
Throughout the course, I was able to develop both technical skills and a better understanding of the overall workflow involved in creating professional-quality work. I am truly grateful for all the guidance, support, and encouragement provided by my instructor during the Maya program.
Thank you for your dedication and for leading us through this learning journey with such enthusiasm.
Instructor's Message
Yulgyeom, one thing that stood out throughout the course was your eagerness to learn. Whenever you encountered something new, you consistently asked thoughtful questions, worked hard to understand the concepts, and made the effort to review and reinforce what you had learned afterward.
That attitude made a strong impression on me and contributed greatly to your progress. Seeing students actively engage with the material always makes teaching more enjoyable, and thanks to your enthusiasm and dedication, this was a very rewarding class to teach.
Although the Maya course has come to an end, there is still much more ahead of you. You still have additional classes and the portfolio program waiting for you, so continue applying the same level of effort and commitment as you move forward.
Keep learning, keep improving, and do your best to finish strong. I'm looking forward to seeing the work you'll create in the future.
Good luck, and fighting! 😊💪

The 3D course initially felt very overwhelming, as it covered many complex and specialized areas such as modeling, lighting, rigging, animation, and texturing. At first, I constantly worried about whether I would be able to keep up, and I also struggled with figuring out which direction or specialization would suit me best.
Although I had many questions and there were numerous areas where I lacked understanding, the instructors patiently guided me step by step, which allowed me to successfully complete the course. Through continuous effort, I also began to gain confidence and feel that I could truly improve if I kept practicing.
In addition, during the course we prepared and presented storyboards, and the feedback I received from the instructor after my presentation was extremely helpful in clarifying my direction and helping me decide what I want to focus on moving forward.
What once felt uncertain and vague gradually became much clearer, and looking back at when I first started Maya, I can genuinely feel how much I have improved. That realization has been very rewarding and fulfilling.
Instructor's Message
Sohyun, you did really well throughout the Maya course. 😊
You always completed your assignments diligently, and I felt that your working style matched the class very well. Considering that you were traveling from a long distance after work, it must not have been easy, but you still showed consistent effort, which was very impressive.
Because of that, I never really had to worry about your progress during the course. Even though the Maya portion has now ended, I hope you continue practicing regularly and keep building on what you’ve learned as you move into the remaining stages.
Let’s work together to create a great portfolio. As long as you don’t give up and keep putting in effort, good results will definitely follow.
Keep going strong—fighting! 🚀✨

Through this course, I was able to reflect on what I want to create and what direction I want to pursue. I also went through some slump phases and had time to face reality.
While taking classes with the instructor, I even had moments where I thought, “I’m just a rock, I need to keep rolling harder and keep improving!”
I had never really imagined learning from a teacher as an adult, so meeting a real mentor like this was very moving, and it made me realize that learning can actually be enjoyable.
It still doesn’t feel real that the course has ended. I feel like this graduation is just the beginning of wanting to learn more and be more curious.
Thank you for everything.
Instructor's Message
Chae-won, thank you for following through until the end of the course!
I know you were a bit shy and had difficulty asking questions, and tried to handle things on your own—but that persistence was actually very impressive.
Still, I’m glad you were able to reach out for help when you needed it—that was the right choice.
Keep doing continuous R&D on your own, and when you need help, don’t hesitate to ask your classmates or instructors.
As you move into portfolio work, there may be tough moments, but I believe you’ll overcome them quickly and stay focused.
You did a great job throughout the course!

Throughout the program, I really appreciated how kind, approachable, and supportive all of the instructors were.
Before joining the academy, I had imagined a very traditional classroom environment—sitting in a rigid lecture hall, watching a screen at the front of the room alongside dozens of other students, with very little opportunity for interaction or communication. Fortunately, the reality was completely different.
The classes were conducted in a much more welcoming and engaging atmosphere. Because the class sizes were relatively small, it was easy to ask questions, receive personalized feedback, and interact naturally with both the instructors and fellow students. The friendly and encouraging environment made the learning experience much more enjoyable and helped me feel comfortable throughout the course.
I’m truly grateful to all of the instructors for creating such a positive atmosphere and for all the support they provided along the way.
Instructor's Message
A lot of students imagine a very formal and rigid classroom environment before they start, so you're definitely not the only one! 😊
Of course, everyone has their own personality and learning style, but I hope you found the classes enjoyable as well as educational. Creating a comfortable atmosphere where students can ask questions, communicate freely, and enjoy the learning process is something we always try to prioritize.
You've done a great job throughout the course, and I'm happy to hear that the classroom environment helped make your experience a positive one.
Now, let's keep that momentum going. Make sure you attend the remaining classes consistently, continue putting in your best effort, and keep building on everything you've learned so far.
The next big goal is creating an outstanding portfolio, so stay focused, keep practicing, and give it your all until the very end. I know you'll be able to create something you're proud of.
Keep up the great work, and let's finish strong together. Fighting! 🚀✨😊

It feels like only yesterday that I was learning the program’s interface in my very first class, but somehow time has flown by and I’ve already reached the final stage of the curriculum.

Learning Maya and ZBrush together was an incredibly rewarding experience. Whenever I encountered difficulties or had questions, the instructors were always welcoming and willing to help. They took the time to explain everything clearly and patiently, step by step, which allowed me to keep up with the lessons and enjoy the learning process even as a complete beginner.
Of course, there were challenging moments along the way, but the instructors were always there to support me. Beyond teaching the software itself, they were also willing to provide career advice and guidance whenever I needed it. Because of that, going to the academy never felt like a burden—it was something I genuinely looked forward to.
While personal motivation and dedication are important, I believe one of the biggest reasons I was able to complete the program was the encouragement and support I received from the instructors. They continuously helped students stay motivated and never gave up on us, even when we struggled.
Looking back, I feel proud of what I've accomplished and deeply grateful for all the support, guidance, and encouragement I received throughout the course.
Instructor's Message
Everyone learns at a different pace, so it's completely natural that some parts felt difficult at first. 😊
What matters most isn't how quickly someone learns, but whether they continue trying and refuse to give up. If you have the determination to keep working through challenges and stay committed to improving, you'll eventually overcome obstacles one step at a time.
You were a perfect example of that. In the beginning, there were moments when things felt challenging, but whenever concepts were explained again and reinforced through practice, you steadily improved and gained confidence. Seeing that progress was very rewarding as an instructor.
As I've mentioned before, reviewing what you've learned is extremely important. Make reviewing your lessons a habit, and once you're comfortable with the fundamentals, start applying them creatively. The more you experiment and create projects of your own, the faster your skills will grow.
You've worked hard throughout the program, and you should be proud of the progress you've made. Continue building on that foundation, keep challenging yourself, and never stop learning.
I’m excited to see what you'll create in the future. Keep up the great work, and good luck with everything ahead.

SF Film School was where I was first introduced to this field. At the beginning, everything felt unfamiliar, and even now I know there is still a great deal left for me to learn. However, being able to gain an overall understanding of the industry and its workflows has made this experience incredibly valuable.
Recently, I also began learning ZBrush, which has introduced me to another exciting side of CG and given me a new source of enjoyment. In addition, the various seminars hosted by the academy have allowed me to explore many other software packages and areas of the industry. Even when I am not directly studying a particular tool, these opportunities to observe and learn from professionals have helped broaden my perspective and deepen my understanding of the field.
Although the road ahead still seems long, I believe that the skills, knowledge, and experiences I have gained at SF Film School will continue to help me as I move forward. Equally important are the relationships I have built with my classmates and fellow students, whose support and shared experiences have made this journey even more meaningful.
I am sincerely grateful for everything I have learned and experienced throughout the program. Thank you.
