When I first visited the academy for a consultation, I only had a vague interest in learning VFX. However, after speaking with the staff, I became confident that this was the right place for me to learn and grow.

With every class I attended, I felt that my future career path became clearer and more concrete, which made the learning process even more enjoyable and motivating. While the instructors' guidance has been excellent, I think one of the greatest strengths of the program is the opportunity to attend various seminars and view the work of other students. Having access to so many examples and references has been incredibly valuable and inspiring.

Overall, it has been a very rewarding experience, and I am grateful for everything I have learned throughout the course.

While taking the Maya course, I was able to build my skills step by step from the basics, which allowed me to improve steadily without feeling overwhelmed. It was a very meaningful and productive learning experience.

Through sharing questions and feedback with my instructor and classmates, I was able to better understand more advanced topics and improve my learning efficiency.

As a complete beginner, I was worried about whether I would be able to understand the lessons and keep up with the coursework. However, the instructor always explained concepts clearly, patiently, and in a way that was easy to understand. Thanks to that guidance, I was able to follow along well even though I was learning these programs for the very first time.

I also found it extremely helpful that the instructors shared a wide range of information about the industry, including practical workflows, career paths, and employment opportunities. I was really glad that I was able to learn Maya, a program I had wanted to study for a long time. At first, the course felt quite long and I wondered when it would end, but as I learned step by step, time passed much faster than I expected. It was a course where I gained and learned a lot.

Even students like me, who had never used Maya before, were able to complete the course without too much difficulty. The instructor explained everything in detail every class, which made even difficult parts easier to understand, and whenever I was confused, they helped me clarify things again so I could resolve issues well.

Also, through the classes and seminars, I was able to figure out which areas I enjoy more and in which direction I should prepare my portfolio, which was very meaningful for me.

The Maya course felt like it went by in an instant. I was able to learn the fundamentals of Maya step by step under my instructor’s guidance. I still remember struggling in the beginning, even trying to build a simple brick, and feeling anxious about whether I would be able to do anything at all.

However, as I followed the lessons, I eventually reached the point where I could create a robot, which felt very rewarding. Every class was exciting because I was learning new techniques each time.

Since Maya is such a broad and deep program, I realized that reviewing and practicing after class is essential. For anyone who is working while studying like me, I would strongly recommend reviewing what you learned on the same day, even if you are tired.

Coming in as a non-major who didn’t even know how to use Photoshop, I am now able to understand basic modeling, texturing, V-Ray, rigging, and animation concepts. I sincerely thank my Maya instructor once again for all the guidance.

One of the primary goals of education is to help individuals become independent and capable of continuing their growth on their own. Looking back on my time at SF Film School, I believe the greatest thing I gained was the confidence to stand on my own and continue learning independently.

To be honest, I still feel that my skills have a long way to go. However, being surrounded by a high-level learning environment and having the opportunity to see, hear, and experience so many things has significantly raised my expectations for myself and my future potential.

The experience allowed me to set higher goals, broaden my perspective, and develop a stronger belief in what I might be able to accomplish with continued effort. More importantly, I feel a sense of pride in having been a student at SF Film School. Knowing that I was able to learn in such an environment has given me greater confidence and reinforced the belief that I can achieve the goals I set for myself.

I started Maya with almost no prior knowledge, but through this course I was able to learn how to use it in a much more comprehensive and practical way. I believe that building a strong foundation in every department will allow for greater growth even after completing the course.

In particular, I think this curriculum is essential for becoming a strong generalist in the industry and eventually a competitive professional after employment. While learning, I was also able to explore what I am good at and what I enjoy more comfortably, which became an important opportunity for me to think about my future and grow.

Another benefit was being able to meet and learn alongside people aiming for different specialties. Whenever I had questions, the instructor always provided clear answers, which helped me understand the lectures much better than just listening passively and allowed me to build a solid foundation.

At first, I was very worried about taking a long Maya course, but I still can’t believe it’s already the end.

When I first saw Maya, everything was in English, so it felt difficult from the very beginning. However, the instructor patiently guided me step by step, and as I gradually learned, I became more interested in this field.

One of the most memorable parts was building a robot model. It was difficult, but I still remember the sense of achievement I felt after creating it on my own.

I also enjoyed the portfolio storyboard presentation session, where I received feedback on my plan and was able to see other students’ different ideas.

Even though Maya still feels complex, I will continue to use what I learned in the portfolio class. I also asked many questions, and I’m very grateful for the instructor’s always kind support.

Hello everyone. It’s hard to believe that I’m already writing my course completion reflection. Time really has flown by. I still remember reading reviews from previous students while deciding whether or not to enroll in the academy. Looking back now, it feels like only yesterday.

The Maya program was an incredibly enjoyable and rewarding experience. By steadily following the lessons and completing each assignment, I gradually became much more comfortable using Maya than I ever expected. Throughout the course, I had the opportunity to experience and better understand the various disciplines that make up the VFX pipeline.

At the beginning, even something as simple as shaping a model by manipulating geometry felt challenging. Later, when I first started working with Substance Painter and materials, I found myself struggling once again. But over time, those difficulties became valuable learning experiences. Now I feel confident handling modeling, texturing, lighting, animation, and even scene presentation and composition.

Through the different projects and exercises, I also gained a clearer understanding of which areas I naturally enjoy and which specialties might suit me best. That self-discovery alone has been one of the most meaningful parts of the journey.

None of this would have been possible without the patient guidance of my instructor, the support of my classmates, and the many hours spent practicing and working on assignments outside of class. Being part of a class with a dedicated homeroom instructor and supportive classmates created a strong sense of belonging, which made the learning experience even more enjoyable and motivating.

Although the Maya course has come to an end, it also marks the beginning of a new chapter filled with advanced classes and portfolio development. There is still a long road ahead, but I’m grateful to be continuing that journey alongside such supportive people.

While taking various classes at SF Film School, I was able to discover which field suits me best. Although it was somewhat similar to the 2D work I had been learning before, 3D felt very different and challenging at first.

However, the instructor kindly guided me step by step from the beginning, and whenever I had questions, they were always answered patiently and clearly. Thanks to that support, I was able to reach this point.

It feels like both a long and short journey at the same time. Since there are still areas where I lack experience, I plan to continue reviewing the lessons and improve my skills further while working on my portfolio. Thank you to everyone who was part of this journey!

After researching several 3D academies, I decided to enroll at SF Film School because the quality of the students’ portfolios stood out the most to me. Seeing the level of work that graduates were producing made me feel confident that this was the right place to learn and grow.

It feels like just yesterday I started learning Maya, and now the course has already ended—it almost feels like a dream as I’m writing this reflection.

When I first started, everything in this field and all the programs were completely new and unfamiliar, so it was hard to keep up with each lesson, and I often wondered if I would really be able to do it.

However, as I continued attending classes, the instructor explained everything in an easy-to-understand way, and whenever I had questions, I always received helpful answers. I also worked with classmates to solve difficult parts together, which helped me gradually improve my skills.

Although it may seem like a short period, I was able to adapt quickly and keep up with the course.

However, I still have many shortcomings and a lot left to learn. I will not forget the mindset I had when I first started, and I will continue working hard to achieve my goals.

Through the Maya course, I was able to resolve many questions I couldn’t solve on my own. The rest will depend on my own effort and practice.

From now on, I plan to revisit what I learned in class—modeling, texturing, rendering, rigging, and animation—while preparing for studying abroad.

This is a great academy for anyone who wants to build a strong foundation from the ground up.

Before starting, I had a lot of uncertainty and hesitation about learning completely new software. The idea of working with unfamiliar tools felt intimidating, especially since I had no prior experience. However, thanks to the instructors’ guidance and step-by-step teaching approach, I was able to follow the lessons comfortably even as a complete beginner.

The curriculum is structured in a way that makes learning approachable, and the instructors are always willing to help whenever difficulties arise. Looking back, I realize that the most important thing was simply showing up consistently and staying committed to the learning process.

As long as you attend class regularly and put in the effort, you'll be able to learn a tremendous amount and build your skills with confidence.

It was a bit disappointing that I couldn’t talk more with the instructor and classmates due to circumstances, but overall I had a really enjoyable time.

It was truly enjoyable to go through a process where I could create something from nothing using just a tool.

There is still a lot I need to refine, so I plan to keep improving and sharpening my abilities without stopping.

While taking the Maya class, I was able to learn practical parts in detail for each section. By making many examples, I naturally became familiar with the tools. Studying sequentially starting from modeling made it really easy to understand, and I was able to learn detailed tips as well. It's a shame that I couldn't participate much due to personal circumstances.
